Blijkbaar een serie uit ijsland, zo leer je nog eens wat als je op random vids klikt en aan de hand daar van dingen gaat uitzoeken XD
Al die series waren ook wel in Nederland te zien, k had gehoopt iets niché uit Amerika te zien :(

Speciaal voor David, de afkomst van het woord 'Klokhuis':
Het woord 'Klokhuis' is afkomstig van het Middelnederlandse woord 'clochuus' of 'clockhuys' wat 'klokkentoren' betekent. Dat is waarschijnlijk vanwege de overeenkomst in vorm tussen de klokkentoren en het binnenste van een appel of peer. Kijk maar eens goed naar een héle ouderwetse kerk met een hoop kerkklokken. Kijk dan eens naar een klokhuis. De pitten zijn dan de klokken en het klokhuis de klokkentoren.

I used to work at "Het Land Van Ooit", the theme park where Kloontje (a cloned child giant) and Sap de Aardwortel (the root) are from. They were characters walking around in the park.
Kloontje was so annoying, and as an employee of the park you actually had to play along with her shenanigans. Once during a break (behind the scenes) the actress who played Kloontje remarked on how annoying the children were that day, and put her feet up on the table as she lit a cigarette.
Just thought I'd share that anecdote with you all.

Heb even moeten googelen wat een Shire is, maar inderdaad, Kos met de Snor was een paard van het Shire ras. Die was wel al enige tijd overleden toen ik er werkte. Ik weet niet of de andere paarden ook Shires waren. Er was wel een standbeeld van Kos in het park sinds zijn overlijden.

It gives sad memories of simpler Times when small Parks were charming little tourist attractions, ironicly the land of ones upon a time feels like a Ideal place for Castlefests and fantasy fairs

It amazes me how she doesn't remember KaBlam. She seems my age (27) I loved that show as a Dutch kid. It was even on Dutch Nickelodeon.
True! And she's 26! So you were close! Perhaps she just didn't watch Nickelodeon.
I remember watching it on friday or saturday evening, around 7pm at Ned3. But that was even before Nickelodeon came on Dutch Tv.
same here im 35 and i used to love watch action league as kid so stupid and funny at the same time
We litterly had all of 90's and 2000's Nickelodeon and even cartoon networks
Dutch Fox kids even outlived its American counterpart
Kablam was amazing, I especially loved Prometheus and Bob
I remember I wasn’t allowed to watch Kloontje cause my mom hated it. Now I see why, that drains energy. Still would love a “kloontje, where is she now?” VPRO style documentary!

Where are “de film van ome Willem” with the catchphrases “broodje poep” “geitenbrijers” (Dutch things of the day) and “deze vuist op deze vuist”?
Or am I just to old. Not mentioning “de grote meneer cactus show” “de freggels” “tita tocenaar” and most off all “Theo en Thea”, “Rembo en Rembo” with all poop jokes or “Vila Achterwerk” with all their nudities.
Nice to know clowntje was a character of a theme park what went bankrupt now twenty years later the castle is opened up to the public again and the soldiers in the pond still standing there.

loved the *cough* Icelandic crazy town ""cooking by the book" remix with lil Jon. most of the "American" shows where broadcasted on dutch tv aswell. should have showed even more bizarre vpro stuff since you almost only showed cringy public access shows. Maybe Rembo en Rembo or something like that. Or maybe Telekids (what dominated morning tv for like 20 years ) droomshow, bassie en adriaan fabeltjes krant, Alfred J Kwak etc etc.

When I was younger I LOOOOOOOVED Kloontje, went to the gardens, got a book of them signed. Looking back it's great nostalgia, watching back it's pure terror. Do love me some "Sap. De aardwortel!" Though hahaha

Literally every single one of these American shows I used to watch as well. Especially 100 Deeds for Eddie McDowd and Animorphs I was obsessed with. They were all on Dutch TV too.
