    I bought a 25 Laramie last June. Absolutely love it. Smooth, luxurious, quiet and goes like a rocket ship. Wanted to hold out a little longer to get one until the 14” screens came out but my Chevy’s failing transmission couldn’t wait that long. Had to trade it before it stuck me with a $6k maintenance bill.

    Stellantis is running CDJR dealerships into the ground. They have some of the highest inventories, especially RAM trucks, in the nation. Sooner or later these dealerships are going to have to offer massive discounts as they still have MY 2023 and MY 2024 trucks sitting on their lots. The floor plan costs must be outrageous and it appears that Tavares and Stellantis have little interest in helping their dealerships in North America. Quite honestly, if I didn't know better, I would say that Stellantis is trying to put a lot of dealerships out of business. With all that said, the end of this calendar year might be a buying opportunity for a lot of people if you are interested in a RAM truck.

    The Lonestar is not like Ford’s King Ranch Edition. The equivalent on Rams is the Laramie Longhorn which I think it’s available in all 50 states. BTW, the Bighorn and the Lonestar are identical except for the Lonestar badging which is exclusive to Texas, the biggest pickup truck market in the nation.

    A big car with a small turbocharged engine may seem like a solution to the problem, but such engines often require repairs after 100,000 miles. Many people get excited about the increased power compared to the old V8s, but what does it matter? We know that many people lease these cars and switch to a new one after three years, leaving those who buy them second-hand to face the potential issues.

    I'm not impressed with the hurricane breaking the plastic thermostat causing the engine to overheat and seize. I'm also not impressed with the insignificant fuel milage. The HO is a guzzler worse than the 6.4 from the test drive I took. I'm waiting for the 2025 RAM HD refresh I'll take one of those for almost 100k instead, seeing as how they ripped out engine option selection for the 1500s. in 2023 you could get a 3.6, 5.7, 5.7ild hybrid, or the 3.0 diesel. If only ram made the hurricane a 5.0L or a 4.0L cast iron diesel then I would have been interested. I'm also not impressed by the big horn/Lone star still being over 60k at a discount that's 10k more than 3-4 years ago and actually normal MSRP is 70k on these with a cloth interior. Not happy with RAM Trucks. I averaged 18mpg with the standard output hurricane during a 30 mile test drive yeah I took my time but it's their demo model. I got 18mpg with my ram with the 5.7 hemi. I'm also disdain because they said next year they are stopping chrome plating. What I don't like is the ram 1500 crew cab with a 6'4 bed can have the 3.0 but the 2500 6'4 box still gets to keep the 6.4 and they said the hurricane can't put up with the stress of a 6800 lbs truck that can tow up to 14k but it can put up with a 6000lbs truck towing 10k-11k? Something smells if it was a suitable replacement they wouldn't have axed the plans to put them in the 2500s

    The fact they want $60K+ for that truck...with cloth seats...should tell you something. I've had my Hemi Ram 1500 for 9 years and it's been a really good truck. Zero issues. There are a lot of things I like about the new models and I'd be interested in upgrading, but not for what they're asking. And when (not if) those turbos finally detonate on that I6, it's going to be THOUSANDS to repair. The performance numbers look great on paper, but I don't trust that engine. At all. It doesn't belong in a truck like this. If you want great MPG, get a mini van, a Prius, or a Tesla. If you get a truck, you're not whining about MPG. If you are, you shouldn't have bought a truck.

    The fact that they are gathering dust on lots should be the key that we like our V8 motors in the USA! This sounds like a young Simba trying to roar. Twin-turbo motor from a company that is known for cutting corners and poor quality-NO THANK YOU!

    • @BamaTidefan1967
      @BamaTidefan1967 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      They're gathering dust on lots because they jacked up the prices and they have ridiculous markups for things like tinted windows and lifetime powertrain warranties. RAM used to be the cheapest priced full sized trucks and now their among the most expensive.

    Garbage truck and engine. Dodge doesn't have the balls to keep the V8, we'll find a manufacturer that does.

    • @ohioguy4326
      @ohioguy4326 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Keep the V8, I6's are more of truck engine and Ram is going back to it's Roots with the I6. Back in the day Ram and Ford had Great I6 engines.
