- This review is on the all new 2020 Cadillac XT6 SUV. Very impressed with the 2020 Cadillac XT6 and how it behaved on the road. Similar to the XT4, I believe the new Cadillac XT6 will be another home run for Cadillac with its excellent fit and finish and feeling of solidity. Many people who get behind the wheel of this or purchase it should be very happy with it.

I realize this video is over four years old, but it STILL is true today that most TH-cam reviewers have said they don't like the "old school" dash layout - I am planning on ordering a Premium Luxury XT6 with every option except "stupid-cruise" next month, BECAUSE it still ( in 2024 ) has the simple layout of the dash without the "stuck on the dash tablet" look of other SUV's, now. I own a Buick Envision Avenir and even it is too complicated for me - after three years, I've hardly touched the infotainment area. I want to buy one now, because it won't be long ( 2025 ) before they change the XT6 into an electric vehicle with a complicated dash like the Escalade has now.
Good looking no doubt. I just got the xt5 as it's plenty big for me. Drives great as I'm sure this does.
Like how it looks. I like the last gen Escalade better than the new, but this design could get the attention of younger buyers. Love the video as usual bro.

Good review Thanks. I'm really going back and forth with the purchase of this. I'm currently in a 2018 Tahoe and considering getting into one of these. Have any of you on here done that and if so, do you have regrets? I guess for me used to the bigger, wider, and higher sitting vehicle.
Nice Review. Enjoyed every bit of it. Have you compared the handling of the BMW X6 & Benz GLE to the XT6? If so, which vehicle is best to you? What about the XC90 & Q7?
I have only driven a 2018 GLE43 Amg out of the vehicles you have mentioned. But I have driven vehicles from BMW and Audi to know how they feel but not Volvo. The Cadillac vehicles actually feel sharper and more precise to me then even certain German models. The current trend now with the German cars is to pull away feel from the driver and promote more of their self driving technology. I heard Volvo has a similar disconnect feel but the Cadillac does have every bit of solidity in its drive if not more than what German vehicles offer. Very good and thorough review. I have mine on order and have the same likes for the XT6 as you do. The only mistake that you made with regards to the review is stating that the 3rd row seats are leather. They are actually vinyl or pleather whatever one calls that type of material these days. When one orders the Platinum edition then the 3rd row seat will be leather and the other seats are done in semi aniline leather. With the platinum edition you get a microfiber headliner but the cost of this option is $3700 which I felt was unnecessary as was the towing package and rear seat entertainment.

Actually I also realized that this vehicle had 20 inch wheels and not 21 and I assumed all XT6 vehicles had 21” wheels. But that aside I do think a lot of people will like how this handles and rides. It seems like this SUV could use a front lift just to bring the front end up a little bit. It looks like its drooping from some angles. Other than that small little querk, this a stunning SUV!
Yea styling is subjective that's why I don't talk about it much in my reviews anymore haha. Yea I really just love the way Cadillacs drive and handle. Thanks again for stopping by Dylan, take care.
It would be a nice crossover if it had a turbo option and auto pilot.
Turbos sound like vacuum cleaners unless it's an AMG

@@MeynMotorGroup Here in Europe people dislike US vehicles as they are said to be unreliable. Only or mostly German cars count, which I can't comprehend. Because of that, I went for a Japanese one and got a CR-V
@@english-is-fun Lol that is strange, I mean I always believed that luxury cars should only be leased due to the reliability. There is not a single euro car in the States that people consider reliable and to be honest that is part of the design. Luxury manufacturers just want you to get a new car every 2 to 3 years.Asian cars are pretty much the only ones you can own for many years and operate without a warranty
They turned the GMC Acadia into a Cadillac XT6 and made the new Acadia into a three row Equinox.
Good video, every detail. Just want to correct one point. The test car in the video is 20 not 21 inch wheels, as you can see the tire size is 235/55R20 at 30:38.
Hi Anson, actually yea I noticed that later on after publishing that really shocked me. I thought the Sport trims only came in 21” wheels so I was very surprised when I noticed that

I don't think this is THAT different from other SUVs. It's a Volvo XC90 with a Cadillac badge to me. I'm more into the XT4.

It's also the ugly Escalade. Why do people who freak out over Lincoln built of Ford frame think this thing built on a Chevy frame is just fine? Interior is more plastic that a Honda.
Looks are subjective but the interior quality is just fine BMWs have a far worse interior new ones are getting a bit better I guess

@@MeynMotorGroup for starters, it's on an old FWD based GMC Acadia crossover platform that is midway through its life cycle. It's not premium enough to wear a Cadillac badge. It also uses GM's corporate off the shelf 3.6L V6 that is stuffed into EVERYTHING. Also not a premium choice for a Cadillac. Absolutely ZERO thought went into the interior design either as it's the same interior lifted straight out of the smaller XT5 sibling. This cobbled together XT6 also can near 80 grand and for a worked over GMC, that's just robbery. The Lincoln Aviator is by FAR a more premium product. In design, execution and features.
My favorite Cadillac models would have to be the recently ended CTS-V and the CT6.
@@chefcjnobles2423 I definitely understand what you mean on paper it doesn't seem worthwhile but that is how I originally felt about the XT4 until I drove it.
All these Cadillacs drive exceptionally well. Just like most Audis, the front wheel drive based chassis does not hinder it's on road demeanor in any way. It is actually German car handling and solidity if not better.
I am a fan of those two cars you mentioned as well, I was personally considering a Ct6 at one point!
