Or "If someone dies he might come to the point I'm in right now so I should stay, but maybe the fight going on there is winnable i should go"
If you don't know where every enemy player is then it's mostly on your teammates for not rotating out of fights when they're low, at that point in MM you just have to make the decision there and then whether you want to play it safe and risk losing the points your team are fighting on, or if you want to go help your team knowing they likely won't rotate and therefore risk donating the point you're on to the enemy team. There's no winning in this scenario really, unironically blame your teammates for not paying attention to the map and tunnelvisioning so hard on a fight they don't rotate when they should
If you have three points controlled, you either have a massive mismatch and are superior to the enemy team, or your team is over-extended, in my opinion. Can you make a contract with ubi to randomly have you calmly giving tips in the middle of matches so that my teammates can actually understand This shit
I play using a little rule I made up for myself called the ABC?B? rule (for games with randoms). Go to all three points at the start of the game and see which teammate you synergize best with, then maintain a *pass-the-baton* mentality, exchanging trips to zone B. If your hold on the point is solid, but your other teammates are struggling wait and see if your other teammate backs them up. If they don’t, then do a full rotation to help break the enemy team’s focus on the third point both easing the burden on your other randoms as well as giving you more encounters to work with on your point. Granted if your randoms on the opposite point are atrocious, then just focus on maintaining your 2 capped points and let the unfortunate randoms become a distraction.
Good video! I would love to see a video about the report system. Recently I’ve noticed an uptick in griefing players in my dom games who try to be “honorable” like it’s duels. You didn't account for when, at the start of a match, all 3 of your random teammates go to the home point and end up feeding so much revenge to a backcapping Shinobi or Shaman they lose the 3v1, so after winning your fight and clearing B you have nowhere to heal and challenging a point with 10hp isn't a great idea. Thankfully that's more rare these days, but sometimes I just imagine they must all be new to the game and treat that match at anti-gank practice. There is some gamesense involved, but never leave a point you own uncontested... and always watch enemy respawn timers so you know when you can safely go help.
If anyone is still not 100% sure how this works I would recommend checking out Havok's videos of the Into The Fray tournament. Their team is well coordinated and shows how to rotate effectively

I can only defend myself for a solid 2 minutes on a point against 2-3 opponents but they always play smart and feed as little revenge as possible but then I die and spectate 3 teammates at a 1/4 health fighting a 3/4 health guy in revenge. And then the 3 that ganked me show up and wipe up the mess and bam score boared is 800 to 90 3 points held and we're only 4 minutes in the whole match.
Funny this is my and seems to be everyone else’s exact problem how the fuck are there this many apes acting the same 6 years into this games life cycle
I don't think camping in a zone would work on maps like Forge or Sanctuary Bridge, where the spawns are very close to one zone and very far to the other. In those maps the key is to make the fighting happen in B or preferably in the zone closest to the enemy and keep farming points in yours and the minion lane.
i personally love winning, but if someone pisses me off, for example telling me i did a good fight while ganking me... the objective for me at least, shifts to kill that one person over and over, sometimes making me go to the enemy spawnpoint waiting for him. Sometimes it takes 2 games in a row, but usually i get my revenge, unless i play against some cheating bastard, they have a big tendency to leave after each game. I know its paddy but i cant help myself, its like watching a revenge movie but better. If gives every kill more meaning.
Freeze haven't you covered this already in a longer video like a while back if they didn't listen before what makes you think they're going to listen now
Freeze, the reason the attacker order of 20 zones exists is to counterract this video. 1250xp and 150 steel is not worth all those matches it would take to complete it (consideting the averqge capture rate of 2 zones per match and some of us can't play For more than 2 Hours at a time)
But freeze, im busy trying to clear minion lane as gladiator while my teammates repeatedly try to 1v4 at C point instead of doing literally anything else
While everyone is busy fighting I get points, if it's a 2v1 I leave to get points, if someone is getting points I grab the attention of the at least 2 enemies.
Sometimes it is stupid team mates though. Like that one time two of my three randoms sat at C the whole match, leading to a game long 4 v 2, we somehow broke at the same time, and took down 2 guys with us (executed one) and our two teammates thought it was a good time to head out, went to A, jumped the guy there (the other two were at C looking for them) and f*cking lost the 2 v 1
I never understood why people don't hold down points more often, I defend that shit like it's my home. If I see no on else is holding gown the enemy point, then I might leave and go take that one to hold that one down instead, but my.main focus is always defending points, not getting kills. The kills come to me, I don't need to go anywhere.
So at the end of the day Most people either stay for far too long (or even worse, the complete Match) on zones or leaving the Zone as soon as they conquered it. Maybe Ubi should rethink the "conquer 20 zones" order because it definitely supports the latter problem.
A little player that understand how to play dominion, how to play with rotation. Most player just care & play to kill, not for winning matches. Its always make me frustrating when playing dominion
I usually just focus minion lane and provide support on the other points when its needed. Though this is true, if its not everyone abandoning a point, its someone camping one. 😂
Unfortunately, playing ideally doesn't reward as much as camping or chasing heroes. So many times I try to tell someone to cycle and defend 2 points, but then they say their score is comparable to mine, or worse yet, higher. This score similarity makes many people assume they're playing dominion optimally because they're on top of their team because they camped in one spot while the enemy team cycled two zones, effectively making the game 3v4 for his team.
I don’t think it’s that tough if you just PTFO(play the fucking objective, for the uninitiated) Just keep a close eye on the top right and prioritize based on points for your team/away from the enemy team vs. time. For instance, when you spawn try and see where you can make the most impact in the least amount of time: 1) if safe to do so quickly, take the +2 minion lane from the enemy 2) if you got the minion lane, cap a +1 unboosted zone from the enemy, then make sure one person is around to boost 3) if you got most zones, or the enemy is boosting both, pick one and try your best to either gank, or simply survive in your fight in the zone to prevent the enemy from gaining points from it 4) NEVER fight outside the zones ESPECIALLY when your team is not gaining more points per second. Always move toward stopping the enemy from gaining points or securing points for your team. P.S. if you just want to fight, I would suggest duels or brawls.
Defending a point is boring. - not enough players/enemies/minions to keep me busy - no real objective than standing still ,wasting precious time of life - no feature in defending (building defense ,literally anything) Attacking points/players - using actual gameplay mechanics/hero. - you press buttons on your pad/keyboard Im waiting for Warhaven release. Better dominion mode btw. In FH its like you are a Goalkeeper instead of a defender. You wait sometimes so long. And not everybody wants to be the Goalkeeper(unless you ve seen Genzō Wakabayashi).
if we abstract it further, its peoples inability (or unwillingness) to relate their losses to their own behaviour, thus preventing them from altering it to fit any given scenario. after all, the match *you* lost someone else couldve probably won.
Well , thats works , Until you got an order to cap 20 points. Tbh i dont have much time to play everyday and yes i want to have some steel to customise my mercenaries . So between wining that grant me a ridiculous amount of steel , or losing (for probably kinda the same amount of steel than wining honestly) and having cap 7 or 8 zones in one game. The choice is rapidly taken. I pref doing the Orders that feed me steel and Exp. I'm surely not the only one who prioritise the orders over wining a match. Cause sincerly , the drip is the heart of the For honor multiplayer.
I rotate on zones shame my team doesn’t and I end doing a 3v1 after my team finish with what they was doing I either dead or got revenge, my random team only go for the most kills nothing else is important so they give the enemy revenge
POV you solo queue and would have to pray to god to get teammates to actually follow a smart game plan rather than just unga bunga run at ppl and lose a anti gank
As a note, i really hate people who go "i paid for this game, I'll play it how i want" when discussing gameplay in a team game mode. I ask people who say this, do you talk on your phone or even have it on when you're at the cinema watching a movie. The answer should be no, not only because of cinema rules but also because it ruins the experience of everyone else which is why it is against the rules. Other people paid to see the film to, you are not special. If you intentionally play badly by ignoring objectives or not helping out your teammates getting ganked by 4 people, you are ruining their experience and as much as you like to think you're the only one who spent money, they did too
I like the pickup game example. If they go to the park and join a random basketball game, they also don't start kciking the ball around. They follow the rules, or otherwise they'd not be allowed to join anymore. Funny how that works.
I have lost count of how many times the team throws the match when both teams are breaking just for not staying in the point for 10 secs after capturing it, I suppose people just care about playing for himselfs and not for the team and that is why solo queue is so trash some days.
I don't understand how ppl play cod and defend spots/zones but don't do it on for honor granted I have two ppl who I play with constantly I always have to tell em take the point B ain't that important unless we down some individual points and the A&C spot ain't even it out or passing the enemy team my friend constantly goes to B while they holding A and C only time I leave a zone is if C or A whoever over there is constantly getting beat switch out they go to zone I left while I hold it down or we gank the person whipping they ass basically they need a moral boost cuz they will leave or just say fuck helping altogether
Naaaah, why do obj and be efficient?? Just push buttons mapwide. Since mindless pushing buttons is getting you killed in duels and brawls, coz ppl parry and read you like an open book, dominion is the only place you can somewhat press buttons. Just go where ppl are, feed revenge with your buttonmashing, kill your team8s and keep it up until it is over. And the best thing - you ALWAYS have next match!! So you can keep pressing buttons ENDLESSLY!! Wow, now THAT is fun, am I right, lads?!?!
I'm the type to sit on the point and spam orders to clear minion lane. but it's frustrating when nobody realizes that this is the basic strategy to win a match. Sometimes you find someone who knows how to rotate the defense of the point so that everyone has fun.
@@SilentLegion96 well if they want people playing deathmatch then they need to remove the powerups and make all the maps smaller but they haven't touched the mode in years so everyone just plays dominion because it's all that gets updated. i personally love winning, but if someone pisses me off, for example telling me i did a good fight while ganking me... the objective for me at least, shifts to kill that one person over and over, sometimes making me go to the enemy spawnpoint waiting for him.
Sometimes it takes 2 games in a row, but usually i get my revenge, unless i play against some cheating bastard, they have a big tendency to leave after each game.
I know its paddy but i cant help myself, its like watching a revenge movie but better. If gives every kill more meaning.
Freeze haven't you covered this already in a longer video like a while back if they didn't listen before what makes you think they're going to listen now
I play shugoki so i become a snorlaks while my team focuses there point it works alot and i dont mind it
Freeze, the reason the attacker order of 20 zones exists is to counterract this video.
Maybe devs should add some video tutorial in the game for get a better explaination or more tips for how to play the mode properly
I do this and usually end up being neglected by my team
I purposely donate points on purpose to give my opponent a fighting Chance
Unfortunately, playing ideally doesn't reward as much as camping or chasing heroes. So many times I try to tell someone to cycle and defend 2 points, but then they say their score is comparable to mine, or worse yet, higher. This score similarity makes many people assume they're playing dominion optimally because they're on top of their team because they camped in one spot while the enemy team cycled two zones, effectively making the game 3v4 for his team.
Many forget that the game is won by points not kills. You wanna win? Stay on the point and swap out with someone whos hurt
I don’t think it’s that tough if you just PTFO(play the fucking objective, for the uninitiated)
Just keep a close eye on the top right and prioritize based on points for your team/away from the enemy team vs. time.
For instance, when you spawn try and see where you can make the most impact in the least amount of time:
1) if safe to do so quickly, take the +2 minion lane from the enemy
2) if you got the minion lane, cap a +1 unboosted zone from the enemy, then make sure one person is around to boost
3) if you got most zones, or the enemy is boosting both, pick one and try your best to either gank, or simply survive in your fight in the zone to prevent the enemy from gaining points from it
4) NEVER fight outside the zones ESPECIALLY when your team is not gaining more points per second. Always move toward stopping the enemy from gaining points or securing points for your team.
P.S. if you just want to fight, I would suggest duels or brawls.
I personally like to stay at the zone that has the easiest access to B so me or my teammates can rotate from it easily.
Defending a point is boring.
- not enough players/enemies/minions to keep me busy
- no real objective than standing still ,wasting precious time of life
- no feature in defending (building defense ,literally anything)
Attacking points/players
- using actual gameplay mechanics/hero.
- you press buttons on your pad/keyboard
Im waiting for Warhaven release. Better dominion mode btw.
In FH its like you are a Goalkeeper instead of a defender.
You wait sometimes so long.
And not everybody wants to be the Goalkeeper(unless you ve seen Genzō Wakabayashi).
I’ll use this video to why I keep losing and not face the fact that I lose cause I just suck at the game I’m not ready for that responsibility yet
if we abstract it further, its peoples inability (or unwillingness) to relate their losses to their own behaviour, thus preventing them from altering it to fit any given scenario.
after all, the match *you* lost someone else couldve probably won.
It’s me, I am the reason my team loses dominion matches. I just be going around fighting shit
B is def underrated as well, people hate me for going to it but bro
I rotate on zones shame my team doesn’t and I end doing a 3v1 after my team finish with what they was doing I either dead or got revenge, my random team only go for the most kills nothing else is important so they give the enemy revenge
Still waiting for Lawbringer Rework (Month 14 of waiting).
There's an actual way to play my fashion game??
I have lost count of how many times the team throws the match when both teams are breaking just for not staying in the point for 10 secs after capturing it, I suppose people just care about playing for himselfs and not for the team and that is why solo queue is so trash some days.
Simple tactics.. unfortunately some think that getting more kills = winning.
More kills is more fun so that’s what I’m gonna do
Why do I have to lose in videos?
Cope freeze i will still donate the points when I play with u
based
I don't understand how ppl play cod and defend spots/zones but don't do it on for honor granted I have two ppl who I play with constantly I always have to tell em take the point B ain't that important unless we down some individual points and the A&C spot ain't even it out or passing the enemy team my friend constantly goes to B while they holding A and C only time I leave a zone is if C or A whoever over there is constantly getting beat switch out they go to zone I left while I hold it down or we gank the person whipping they ass basically they need a moral boost cuz they will leave or just say fuck helping altogether
Nutella, the American sniper.
the main reason I dont win dominion is because I dont play dominion and I cant win if I turn the mode on once in a blue moon
This game needs some new dominion maps
i boosted that why i dont play 5 months already (season 1 player here)
I am losses evertime the Match because the For Honor Community are very Evil People and Trolls but with friends we are Win the most Matches
Explaining rotations in year infinite
Thumbnail indicates people want to defend A point over C point on that map smh
Did someone say NUMBER 1??
So the reason I loose isn’t because my teammates are bad at fighting, it’s because they are bad at rotating 😉
I only lose a match when freeze is on my team :(
I win as long as my kill count is bigger than anyone else
the #1 reason is im top 3% exclusivly off solo que, trust its my team xD
In my case... 110% brain dead teammates. 🤣🤣🤣
I pretty much always boost points
Amen to all this.
Mfs be more focused on getting kills. I’m mfs
Dominion sucks nowadays. 😢
The main reason why you lose breach matches. Rage quitters.
Freeze, you're pretty cool.
I try.
You like playing medjay dont you
well there was a double xp weekend
I’m pretty sure I lose because the enemies are cheating 🙄
Minion lane
I'm the type to sit on the point and spam orders to clear minion lane. but it's frustrating when nobody realizes that this is the basic strategy to win a match. Sometimes you find someone who knows how to rotate the defense of the point so that everyone has fun.
Or really
so.... bad dominion teammates? lol
Hiiiii fweeeeze
A hell nah I dont donate anything to anybody no simping here sir
39 seconds ago I’m here on time for once
Hear me out. Just change the boost value from +2 to just +1
Bonus points only from killing enemies, fighting on capture points, and minions.
A testing grounds for dominion that reduced the points that zones give and made kills give points (probably 25) would be cool idea to try out
It’s bad enough the majority play Dominion as death match. Adding kills to the score will incentivize not playing the objective even more.
@@SilentLegion96 well if they want people playing deathmatch then they need to remove the powerups and make all the maps smaller but they haven't touched the mode in years so everyone just plays dominion because it's all that gets updated. When I play CoD objective modes I don't play them because I like sitting in a circle it's because it creates a point(s) for all the players to go to to fight
@Obama_Hunter everyone is playing dominion because its the best time spent for steel per game, Breach has great steel gain but wayyy too long, you can usually complete 2-3 dom games compared to 1 breach game in the same amount of time
Very very bad video about why i lose in dominion Here are some solid Points !
No Ranked 4vs4 So we have almost little to none information about Teammates or Enemy !
Let Alone to be based on Matchmaking or People Skill level !
Its Normal Only So People use it for Everything ( Exp/Grinding/trolling/drunk and drive )etc.
So 90 % of the People in that Mode of the game Do not Play Competitive or even close to Optimal .
Tip from 6 years ago still working ! Give the Middle and Go B with Kensei !
Make 600/700 points from minions Win 80 % of your games
I take it back... the main reason why everyone's losing is this guy right here.
The #1 reason why this will be your most hated video will be that clickbait arrow in the thumbnail 🤬
↘
His point is defending a spot to allow rotates and the arrow is pointing towards a spot... It's not like these clickbait thumbnails in openings where they point at the rarest pull
@@nicynator7569 🤏
People still play this trash?
Ya'll know Chivlary 2 is actually a skill and read based game?
you keep mentioning it... desperately need players, huh?
@@fkkfreeze Hmm? No I'm pretty sure more people play Chiv than For Honor at this point.
Although I did hear that the new "Ruby" material is apparently so great so maybe the new color will bolster the player count. 😉
@@fkkfreeze But in all seriousness, why do you continue to make content for this game?
You've seen the direction that the devs have taken with it, they clearly don't care about your opinion or the opinions of the playerbase at large yet you still make videos that ultimately have no bearing on decisions made by the dev team.
But you sound like an Englishman so I guess passive aggressive is the best that you can do to voice your disdain.
why should i boost when im better than my team smh
That’s why you should ( can’t tell this is sarcasm if it is ). If you’re teammates are bad and aren’t doing that, step up and boost for them and protect the point. Eventually they’ll get the message, if not then at that point you can say it was your teammates fault
