This.. game started out. Went to homepoint capped it. Helped out teammate at b. He ran to c with little health. The 2 others already died... I went back to homepoint to heal. I could see they would just one by one run to enemy point while 3 were there.. Makes sense if you can stall long enough. But to instantly die 1 by 1... bruf.. No need to say. Lost because at the end it was 4 of them vs me. Cuz i refused to run into 3 enemy players alone
To be fair, on some level you do need to at minimum contest the point so that they don't just get free points off it the whole game. Feats don't really matter if there is a 700 point gap because the other team has 3 people on their home point and one person has contested it the whole game.
Guys, this also shows that you get renown even if you didnt get the last blow on the enemy, so please stop spamming attacks tryna get the finishing blow to get more renown. It's likely only feeding revenge and doing more harm then good.
It kinda does though, it's all in the log. It doesn't teach us specific values for kills or boosting either, hell, it doesn't even include "boosting" mechanic in tutorials, but it does show everything in the ui
I love the breaking feature in games where you're out of reinforcements and you're entire team gets to do a final stand but can no longer respawn i wish more games did that instead of just instantly losing/winning
Titanfall 2 had something similar, when one team wins the loosing team has an extraction ship fly in and they can try to escape while the winners try and destroy the ship before it can leave, it was more fun than everything just coming to a sudden end

I always thought vanguard got more against minions , heavies for contesting a point , assassins for kills/assist and hybrid a middle ground for everything

Usually less range , "fast" attack are not fast enough, reflex guard(lmao imagine guard that dissapears after first hit hit of shaolin zone and then you have to refresh it , still catch people not knowing how to fight against it), renown gain being well... questionable and not to mention deflects that's are still to this day broken and can't be ever fixed due to s. Assassins rn are a mess of a "class".
The way the renown system is divided between classes is so blatantly unfair, it's not even a meme anymore. This and reflex guard should have been addressed for years now. And somehow there are more players that ask for random shit like enhanced lights for warden instead of changes that will actually benefit the health of the game. I suppose, if ubi decided to swap the renown and guard systems of assassins with the other classes for a day just to troll us, 98.3% of pancake flippers, buttheaders and shouldermen would suddenly find the game "unplayble", and either acknowledge the problem or leave the game. Win-win I'd say.
This is why deathballs are a problem in Solo que. I tell people all the time but no one listens and then we have to deal with firebombs and shields alot earlier than usual.
I like the defender renown reward because it rewards players that defend a point while punishing weak minded players that constantly attack an unnecessary point and feeding renown to the enemy. That's what I like about For Honor, strong minded players can punish weak minded players for their idiocy in say spamming one move predictably or go to a point with 4 people. While yes, you may lose to idiots sometimes, you can learn from these fight to see why you lost and improve yourself while the idiots celebrate their short victory.
Wouldn't it be better if also attacking a point rewarded the same amount of renown? You get the surplus if you survive in your zone AND if you correctly capture an enemy's one. I think Destiny has a similar mechanic in "control": kill an enemy while standing on your controlled area, get a "super" bonus; viceversa, kill an enemy who is on his captured zone, get the same bonus
See this is the type of stuff that many people don't know. Granted I play majority heavy/ heavy hybrid type heroes so I found this out through the class, but its something that should be explained through the game in more detail, not found out.

Right, but you don't win dominion by unlocking your feats, you do so by gaining points. Contesting a camp denies points to the enemy so as long as you last long enough its worth to stall in a contested enemy point.
i'm sure your tune will change as soon as you die and now the enemy defender has a stalwart banner, or a fire flask, or phalanx, or staggering blow, or a spear storm, or umbral shelter, or corruption blast, or infection, or last laugh, or any other powerful T4 feats i might've missed

Useless video for the majority (not for me, 90% of the times I'm at defensive side and making rotation), those people just gank. Every single game have at least 1 Shugoki, Warlord, Raider and/or Warmonger. I don't mind having those characters in casual games, but when one of them have 2 seconds of armor in a grab attack soft feint, 36 damage external unblockable heavy and dumb knock down feat 4, other have Fury flask and 38 damage unblockable zone, other have Fury flask as well, Super armor on a charge attack and a stupid stamina damage on wall splats (I have no complains about Warmonger), getting ganked by a high lvl closed team becomes extremely unbalanced. Most of the times players just go for kills, they take the point and go to the other to gank again.
Freeze I gotta say. I'd love to see a bit more of the human side of you bud. You ain't a robot built to talk about the balance of the game. Informing us is important, but I'd love to hear your preference on some of the more lighthearted stuff; like fashion for example.
