Recently got back into it. It’s a ton of fun. Still learning Warmonger at the moment but once I get her Rep 7-10 I may play Afeera. There’s a PvE event going on at the moment that awards free cosmetics!

Only thing that’s annoying about her is that in chain bash feels so confirmed after a connected hit and gives so much free damage on wall splat. Besides that, everything else is genuinely really good and ubi out did themselves on her in terms of art design and gameplay
Nah. Since she has a defense debuff + the feat 1 and 3 combo. Her shield needs more range. 40/50 is too much and the debuff is basically 1-2 hits (edit: to kill). That's like Pirate using gun debuff feat but doing x3 damage
@@adrianfreeman4161 Not at all. You'd have to be like 5ft apart and positioning matters. It's a 4th feat, not a 2nd or 3rd. The shield throw is already easy to react to and interrupt-able unlike many other projectile feats

She is the single most brain dead character I’ve ever fought. Literally push three buttons and you’ll kill almost anyone you fight. She can even keep up pressure when out of stamina. That’s just stupid.

@Freejek38 the game was in a different state back then, the state of each individual character was more acceptable. Many characters only got a few tweaks...so me stating "for the most part well made" is accurate.
They weren’t acceptable. BP had a guaranteed bash, Hito had heby on red, Jorm was busted in stalling and stam drain when people discovered a trick to drain more stam with them, and Zhanhu was just a joke. They were definitely easier for low skilled players to deal with, I can agree.
She doesn't have reflex guard. She has slow rotation speed of 6.75 (alot of the assassins are 7.5). She doesn't have a deflect. She's clearly a hybrid cross of Shinobi/Valkyrie, so I think the devs made the right call.
Something I think would really help against the infinite without ruining any of her other options is to give her a rule that most other fighter games do: only let her stagger once every so often. i.e. when you splat once, her ability to splat with left heavy goes on cooldown for maybe 5 seconds, maybe 2.5 seconds. (obviously other fighters have stagger rules per combo, not per timing, but same thing). That would remove her infinite but not make going for splats redundant. I'm having a blast with her so far, and I adore how much player expression she allows for in her versatility.
15:00 I would apply this reasoning to respawn time penalties from executions as well. I think that making the opponent not play the game is bad design. Executions should give something, but not +3 seconds respawn time (in addition to the duration of the exe). Add more healing or more renown on executions perhaps.
There is also a bug where none of her bashes and feats feed any revenge Edit: i think the damage of her t1 is fine since its such a short range. Look at shaolin tp or kiai or zhanhud Also, i think she shouldnt be able to dodge out of everything. That kinda makes punishing a bash another 50/50 on top of the 50/50 bash already
They need to reduce stun from opening lights to reduce that confirm feeling the kick seems to give and then remove the affects the confirmed heavies have after bashes. Reason for the latter is it would remove the infinite chain but still allow the light - heavy, heavy - heavy finisher to have more of a use and not just used to catch people trying to dodge the chain bash.

I like the hero as a concept. I hate the genderlock and I love being bashed from 100 to 0 in every god forsaken game I play. That second part will go away with time though so I dunno.
I am very satisfied with a hero that actually has personality and truly new animations. It has been way too long since we got a hero and they echoed the feeling the launch heroes did. The hero is a bit much right now with the bashes and hitstun strings, but I can see Afeera being standardized later. The only thing is the class type for me. I know that it doesn't really matter, but I prefer assassins. This hero gave me a window into how the assassins would feel with a static guard. It feels incredible. I don't have to worry about being jumped constantly from my right and pikeman and minions aren't on my ass at all times. I wonder how that would affect the rest of the assassins. The fact she is a hybrid confuses me immensely. It's almost like they didn't want her to be an assassin because reflex guard would make her a little more difficult to play. Anyway, good hero concept and realization. Definitely dial back those wallsplats. I want more distinct heroes like Afeera.

Played today to see what fighting the new character is like and it was not a fun experience duels or 4v4s it feels like I can't dodge her kick if she gets an offensive light and the heavy confirms off of bashes means im takinging insane damage if I get wallsplat. Don't think this character needs an undodgable with such an oppressive move set.

It’s completely different than tiandi’s neutral bash lol. Tiandi’s was removed because it sucked for most of the player base but oppressive to new players. It also sucked as a opener even if it hit.
For tiandi it's an unfeintable bash so they had to make it as efficient as other bashes This here is a slower but feintable bash, it's completely different.
i disagree with stamina consumption i think there's too much stamina to go around and sometimes it feels like i should have stopped attacking a while ago.
I was actually intending on coming back to For Honor after a long hiatus. Figured missing the pirate and...Egyptian dude? Was long enough and I kinda miss the game. Might wait a little bit longer for the character nerf to come tho. Don't wanna join and get infinitely stunned right away.
Only thing thats crazy to me is how the bash always confirms a heavy and her heavies have different properties. How tf is it an “unintentional infinite combo” when every bash is a heavy and the heavy wallsplats. Its hilarious that even hito and nobu requires a bit more usage of your brain when it comes to kick mixups.

As a lawbringer im still clinging on because a lot of afeeras panic dodge attack and its easy to parry. In a few days when they get better im done for.
So it’s okay for a new characters kit to based on wall splats but people complained about early Cent and Goki. She seems like she’s be fun but I wish people were more supportive of the way both Goki and Cent used to play.
I personally think landing a wall splat should still be really rewarding, but maybe the damage on the actual side heavy finisher itself should be lowered to something really low like 5-6 damage so players are punished for missing the wall splat, but rewarded for situational awareness by getting a full heavy.

Personally I think the only thing that need to change are dmg values 1. the wallssplat should be a very strong heavy parry punish just like warmongers around 30 dmg the 43 in the current state are a bit to much ofc not only for the heavy parry but from the bash too 2. the feat bashes should get a dmg reduction too t1 does 20 and leaves u on the ground for quite some time Should be 10 T3 is 30 dmg + one guaranteed heavy also dmg reduction Other than this think the hero is in a pretty decent state the timing on her recovery cancel flip is a bit to tight and doesn’t have much iFrame like shinobis

You can’t dodge her kick after a light if you guard swap. Like old gryphon or nobushi kick. Current shinobi kick after parry/deflect
Given her feats have extremely short cooldowns, I'd say it's part of her kit lol (at least in 4's)
