- This was extremely chaotic and fun. I am not a professional by any means, I just thought it would be cool to show you the dying process. Let me know what you think of the color in the comments!
Dye: Creme of Nature C41 Honey Blonde
Shampoo: Design essentials oat protein and henna
Your hair looks amazing. As a stylist..... I just wish brands would stop being so coy about what their ingredients are. Color does not lift color when going from dark to light. Although you can lift 4 levels without bleach by using a developer. Creme of nature and other products like it use... hydrogen peroxide and that falls in the category of an oxygenated bleach. Just make sure you keep your hair hydrated because any form of bleach can be very drying especially to locs. I hope that helps you.

When I think of bleach, I think of sodium peroxide (the prototypical bleaching agent), but you are right that hydrogen peroxide is a bleaching agent (it just isnt as harsh on the hair, and is not the stereotypical "bleach" that is used). I have definitely been making sure to stay on top of my steaming regimen to keep my hair hydrated, and everything feels great so far ❤️
Yes idk about anyone else....i waited 5 years to dye my hair after i locked it up....did it myself followed the steps...came out perfect....tore my hair up....i thought i would've been in the clear because my locs were thick..... changed that as well...(only did tips)....then i remembered that one time i dyed my hair when it was straight...first time...at the salon.....came out beautiful...got special shampoo and conditioner.....broke my hair off..... then i realized my hair cant handle colors....it sucks....ive only died my hair twice in my life and im 34 smh.....any tips or advice
Think ima try wash..mmi heard its nice washes out easily and not harsh
@@MuddasLove23 I never used bleach on my hair until recently ive only done rinses. I now have microlocs and found that doing a deep conditioner and hot oil treatment a week before I dyed it helped it feel not so dry after. Ive never dealt with damage to your extent but its something to try if you ever do it again

I’m so glad I found this video. After years of bleach dye, I haven’t dyed my hair in over 6 years so I’ve been looking for a fun way to add color with no bleach. Thanks for the video and I will definitely be testing this out.
I definitely recommend doing a test strip to make sure your hair tolerates the dye well!

It helps to keep the moisture in your hair... when you said"get you a little sister " I laughed so hard. I can only imagine going to my elderly parents in their late 60s and be like mom/dad I'd like another sibling😂😂

The "Booster Pack" is all these boxes are in fact bleach powder. Just an FYI because its soooo many ppl on here that say "without bleach" not knowing that they just used powder bleach on their hair.

So here’s an idea, if you decide to color again, try doing two sections; do the first half then rinse/neutralize that section then move on to the next section. That should help to manage the length of time the color sits on the hair at the starting point.

My loose hair was dyed cinnamon, then ginger, then ginger again (resulting in cinnamon to ginger ombre). Then I loc'd up. I think this color would look great with my cinna ginger locs, especially after the color fades out. Perfect colorrrrr
