Hey y’all I actually did it. I dyed my hair!!! I tried to hold off the urge as long as I could and I’m happy I gave in. I do love my locs and care about the health of them but at the end of the day, it is just hair and I believe locs are one of the best ways to keep your hair strong so I don’t believe my hair will experience that much damage. I will be watering my locs with oil and water to make sure they are moisturized. Hope you enjoyed the video!! Let me know what you think of the color or if you’re planning to dye your locs!!!
I used Creme of Nature’s vivid red and light golden blonde(2 each). I did need all of the boxes, I only had a lil bit left over.

I would try the hair wax or chalk first to ease the urge and then if you still want color, I would take the plunge!

Is there a serious reason why you should wash your locs a week or two before you put the dye in?

Well locs generally hold products and water longer than loose hair so I just wanted to make sure most of anything was out especially water cause it’s not recommended to dye on wet hair.

I’ve always dyed my hair until I got my locs but I get how you feel, dye is dye, it does do damage so you have to make sure you’re taking extra care of your locs once you do.
