I know it's absurd to ask people to stay the same but you are that one youtubers who are genuinely sharing knowledge. I bought my first phone few years ago at that time the market didn't have much options. Cut to 2022 I am literally getting lost at the amount of crappy load of options available. Like it's too much to choose from. And majority of youtube channels just tend to give basic things which doesn't need thinking. But you literally make us question our choices which should be the case always.

Then they said motherboard had to be changed and it will cost Rs.7200. Resale value is just under Rs.3000, so it is not a good idea to invest on hardware replacement.

@@AR-gm8mt yes. I fear that is a real problem when you compare a galaxy Note 9 that has a knox security chip for dedicated security to a MI phone that's business model depends on selling user data for profit margins..
See, I knew all that before buying the MI phone. I bought the phone knowing that I will be changing to a custom ROM with custom firmware that supports auto call recording(just an example of the flexibility of a custom rom) and etc.
Now this process isn't common and not everyone can go through the trouble that I have gone through to change to a custom rom. And I do not advise anyone to do so unless and until you know what you are getting into.
MI phones are still the best interns of custom rom availability. That is why I choose MI or else I would have just gone with any M/A series Samsung phone for it's superior software and camera hardware.

I am using an LG phone since 2.5 years and I love its UI. It has some micro features about which people don't know but they really changed the way I use phone. for example if I want to make a call then I can search contact name directly from dial pad. So a UI should be grat to enhance your daily usage, and I think One UI will be best as of now.

Im using a 3 yr old phone (Redmi Note 7 32GB 10000/-) but it has been possible because of custom roms. Seriously guys MIUI gets so sluggish and laggy after 2-3 updates, and it isn't a decent experience, but custom roms change the whole game, custom roms make the whole interface smoother than ever and do not contain any kind of bloatware, only thing to note is that some features which we sometimes consider basic (for example- app lock, network monitor, etc) are sometimes missing in these roms and we have to install them separately in which these MIUI, RealmeUI get ahead. I like cheap android phones and expensive iPhones for some reason.

Well, I purchased Galaxy A50s in 2019, it promised to provide 2 years of android upgrades, and 3 years of software updates, and I am using it for the 3rd year, it is actually providing software updates on quarterly basis.
But the problem is everytime I get an update, update comes with bugs, which are fixed on the next update, but new bugs are pushed through the updates. Sometime it crashes ui, sometime camera issue, sometime getting continuous issue with "wallpaper service not responding" (seriously!!)
First I thought it is with my phone only, but later I dug it up and found it is a dirty practice followed by most of brands. So that people are forced to buy a new device after 1 or 2 year(s).
So keeping a phone for 3-4 years is not a practical thing unless it is a flagship one or you have paid enough like galaxy A53 (they are charging the amount considering it will be used for 4 years), you can use a 15000 phone for 3-4 years but it will not be a sweet experience, it will lag, some bugs will pop up, eventually you will be fed up.

Yes brand reduce performance of a phone after 1.5-2years but two main reasons
1-Minimum 6GB/8GB RAM should be purchased for long term usage.
2- It lacks good processor I found Snapdragon processor to be good for long term usage.
Also fast storage play a important role in a phone like UFS 2.1/2.2 or 3.0/3.1

Loved the video, I wanted your opinion on a new purchase. So i purchased LG G7 thinq on around dec 2018 for around 30k which was a pretty good deal at that time. I always wanted to have a flagship experience(non-chinese phone) and keep using my phone for a long time. I am still using the device but now I am confused if it is time to change it.
The device is in very good condition, it has SD 845 and it works pretty well in day to day usage without any lag. The camera is also decent. The issue is the battery. It was 3000 mAh at the time of purchase and it has decreased to around 2000 mAh. I thought of changing it from the service centre but as LG has left the smartphone market, the service centre in my area are of no help. With the current battery I manage to get half a day of usage, which is still not bad.
I wanted your opinion on this, currently i have 3 options,
    1) Getting my battery replacement from a local shop with a local battery and use the phone for more time.
    2) Wait till the device is no longer useable and then buy a new one.
    3) Buy a new device in exchange of this one.
Your response will be very helpful.

I think u should change ur phone since lg has left the market there is no future for ur phone. If some problem occurs like get bricked or soft bricked ,U can do 2 things exchange ur phone with some new phones Check if ur getting some discount in the current sale which is happening in both Flipkart and Amazon and go for some flagship phone again either of Samsung or go for iPhones second is keep this phone at ur home as ur spare phone for doing timepass or experiment like putting custom rom and All that and buy a new budget phone

For those who are looking for an upper mid-range phone around 30k to 40k, I would highly recommend you buy an old flagship phone. believe me, it will give you those features which these upper mid-range phones lack. I am using a quad-core snapdragon 821 flagship phone from 2016 and still, it runs without any problems like tear down (unless you have to use the phone as a weapon), battery issue (except battery degradation) or any major lag issue so nevertheless, you will have an octacore powered phone.

Great work brother. You are actually talking about proper utilisation and dispelling the doubt of common audience who are just shedding their money for upgradation of some features.
Also unlike other tech youtubers who are just lucrating audience always to buy latest tech , you are marking a distinction between need and greed.

I have a Samsung M21(12k) which I bought in 20'.Recently put the android 12 update and one ui 4.1 is so good in terms of polishness and smooth animations that I'm in love with it.
One UI is the best Android UI out there in my honest opinion

Is s20 fe 5g at 31k a good option ? Looking to use for 3-4yrs. Priorities are good performance, decent battery life , good call quality /network and good camera. Not into playing games.
