I like the new wheels at tires. Not so much for the bed but I get it you spent a lot on it mines well keep it. You should do some stars in the headliner next 🤔🤔
Love the black and gray wheels . It's a nice change from chrome. 3 inch lift is just right too can't wait for the paint work to be done . I think this build is my favorite build so far ! Keep it rolling Truck Master
This series has given me the drive to bring my baby, 2003 LB7 back. But I most definitely bit off more than I can chew. She would start for me after i let her sit for a couple of months. I had a small leak somewhere in the lines, so I replaced fuel pump, fuel cooler, lines, filter housing, and filter. That fixed the leak, but it still won't start. When I tried to start the last time, I found a blown fuse and replaced it. Went to crank it, and the FICM started smoking before the fuse blew again. I really want her back up and running, and she'll be my daily ish. So it's off to the local mech shop. I'm not mech inclined, and it's beyond me. But I'm determined to get it running. Thanks for giving me the drive to keep her.
Truck is coming along nicely!! Been watching the whole build , we’ve got 3 duramax as well, 04.5 lly Silverado an 05 lly to lbz swapped sierra and an 08 lmm sierra. Love these trucks and the potential they have. We live in southeast Michigan and brought these up from down south when we moved up here.
Love your videos I have a 2003 and your tips and tricks help me I’ve been having wiring and electrical issues with mine fun project truck and all your vids help and I really enjoy just watching you brotha
Wheels look good. I see the potential in it. What I’d do is mold those fender flares on the new fenders. Use bondo make them look almost like trophy truck front fenders, no gaps or cracks between the fender and flares. Gives it more of the wide body look
Thang is clean. I want me a duramax. All yours needs is rockers, inners, cab corners, flares if you do anything and paint, (tint if you decide to do that as well)
I've had my first issue with my beautiful L. M. M. I had to replace the batteries they were weak when I bought the truck when winter hits the hi desert socal the cold finally killed them lol I absolutely love the videos Josh I wouldn't have the patience anymore to do what you do when I was younger that's what we did pre Internet lol this truck will be a beast when you finish it great job soo far!!!!
I love the old school wheels. But, I think the new wheels are a perfect fit for this project. Really like the look of the 3” lift. 33’s are also a great choice. Looking forward to seeing her painted.
I like the tire and rim set up. It looks better than chrome. I'm anxious to see the body work and paint job to be done. Speaking of the S & S sign you have I had the CP4 disaster kit put on my F250 today. I went thru the LML blowup once and not again.
Looks nice. Love the rims only thing I personally didnt like are the center caps. What about prerunner front fenders ? Looking forward to the finish project
After my chevy had the -24 wheels it really wanted the big boy lift 6'' minimum, There was 4'' shackle flip on the leafs and a 6 degree wedge with the u bolt flip, front had a 6''. 6'' on shocks is not enough since it would crank on stock keys to 9''
All I can say is tastefully done Josh!!! I freaking love the look!! I actually was considering those exact same wheels for my ‘08 dark cherry Silverado!! Very nice!!!
When doing torsion keys I take a pipe wrench and rotate the torsion bar so it then sits freely in the control arm (instead of sitting in it twisted like it is when it’s under load) and then it pounds out easier
I put the same kit on my 08 lmm. The. Front half shafts bind. I ended up making my own 2” drop brackets to fix the drive line angle. There should be no binding with the suspension at full droop.
Im literally putting this lift on my truck . Ill finish it up tomorrow. I went with the 3 inch because i use my truck for hotshot. And i didnt want to much. And i also did the tie rods. Keep up the good videos.
I put that same lift on my 2011 last summer. Along with the Power Stop brake calipers and rotors , while laying on my back in the driveway . At 57 yrs old , let me tell you, that sucked.
What an awesome restoring video of this sweet Duramax also those tires look so good on that truck love the choice of Rough Country they are sweet brother
Nice looking truck Josh! Im currently doing my LBZ head gaskets at my buddys barn in clio. Pulling the cab tomorrow. Gonna be a learning experience for sure.
Hey Josh, I know you said you didn’t want to lift it higher but don’t the steering knuckles that come with the lift kit usually widen the front wheels? When I put a 4” and a 6” on my buddy’s sierra and and Silverado I had to put 2” spacers in the back to match the front. I know the 1 1”2 spacers would help but then you got to cut the studs down unless the wheels you just bought are recessed on the back.
I was wondering if Truckmaster's princess truck ADHD was really going to hold off, looks like it got the best of him! The rims and tires are definitely a better look. Never had to mess with torsion bars, thanks for going over that and talking about the tool.
I like both, I prefer a little more sidewall on off road tires, but the new tires are about as low profile as I think looks good. I love the new gray wheels. I’m not a fan of blackouts on the lights, it’s looks good but some of these guys make em so dark you can’t see them light up in the daytime and barely at night.
I know it’s not diesel or a 4x4 but u just bought a 95 Chevy WT 1500. It’s the green ( that u see everywhere). A fella bought it and kept till he passed and his buddy got it and drove few years till he couldn’t drive and I got it. One dent in the whole truck including the inside of the bed. It looks like it came off the lot. Such a clean lil truck. Oh it’s got 101 k miles on it. Paid 2 k and getting it ready to daily it.
@TruckMaster have you ever thought about installing the S&B fuel tanks on one of your trucks because you tow far distance sometimes. I just replaced my 26 gallon tank with the 62 gallon they have
I'm a Ford guy but I like what you've done to it. Great job so far. I'm not 100% sure but are the rear shocks installed upside down? I run the M1 shocks on my Superduty and I thought they were all designed to go body up with the exposed shaft at the bottom.
I guess I’m old school. I like the bullet wheels. I have a cat eye and I can’t seem to find rims I like except my bullet hole rims. Been looking for a while to change things
No fender flares Both wheels and tires look good. The original would look better with mud terrains. Love the content. Your attention to detail is impressive
That’s turning out to be a nice truck man get that thing painted and it’ll be my dream truck lol. I’m wanting a lb7 bad I’ve been shopping around for one but everything I’ve found is high mileage or out of my budget so far. Anyways keep up the good work man God bless you
Looking sick man coming out hella badass what else do you plan on doing to it like color matched tow mirrors and smoked fender, 3rd brake and smoked cab lights will be hella cool man keep up the great work your killin it!!!
Wheels and tires look great ! Every time I see a Chevy guy doing a lift on these truck's all I can think is damn you need a Dana 60 ! Lol😂 Seriously though, I love the build !
My girlfriend totaled my 8 lug quadrasteer back in November. I’m buying an absolutely beautiful LBZ on Saturday. Planning to throw the Q steer axle, controls, and bed all on my new LBZ
Do the torsion bars limit off road ability? Is this a tow rig? No disrespect just found the channel and the commitment to the build is awesome, I could tell you’ve been doing this for a while when I was watching, than saw the line up of trucks! Long comment short as an IFS truck guy, solid axle truck lifts just seem to be body lifts to me adding more low hanging fruit to get caught up
Love the truck so far and can’t wait to see it when it’s finished but I do think it would have looked a little nicer on 35s instead of 33s, still looks like fire though!
Think the tires need more meet on them with the lift kit. Needs either a 35-37" wheel and honestly I'd go with a wider wheel maybe a 22 or 24x14 I think that would look sick
What do you guys think about the new wheel and tire setup?

O my goodness Josh, the bullet holes by far, I’ve got a LMM and love the way they look on that truck
I like the new wheels at tires. Not so much for the bed but I get it you spent a lot on it mines well keep it. You should do some stars in the headliner next 🤔🤔
New wheels look sick. Grey on black dish is awesome. The truck is coming along really well. Nice work Josh.
I love the new rims!! But do you wanna sell those old rims!
I like the new wheel setup.
best diesel content on youtube. thanks for all the years of hard work josh!
It means the world to hear that brother
@@TruckMasterI agree. Watching you build this thing is really satisfying. Good job brotha
Love the black and gray wheels . It's a nice change from chrome. 3 inch lift is just right too can't wait for the paint work to be done . I think this build is my favorite build so far ! Keep it rolling

you should just turn it into a Baja/offroad truck with that bed!
Wheels are awesome. Really cool and unique. Painting them to match the truck would be cool.

Awesome! Thanks for the reply, one of my favorite Duramax’s is the LMM
New tire set up looks great 👍!
This thing looks great dude!!! Mean stance was wondering about the wheels, but these came out looking good
Wheels are perfect, man your vision for that truck is great
Thanks 👍
Wow that’s going to be one sharp looking truck 😊🎉🎉🎉
I like that bed , it's growing on me. When you send it to paint, see if they can color match the center of the wheels.
Not a bad idea I might do that with the wheels
I like the tires and wheels. I don’t like the tires too much offset. Just my opinion. Love it.👍🏻
Not me over geeking out about the GMC Envoy in the background at 0:37
New wheels look amazing,nice choice

I know this isn’t easy for anyone but good job I know that wasn’t fun.
Favorite truck you’ve built yet on the Channel.
Awesome work Josh!
It looks great with those wheels!!
Man! That truck is taking on some character!
What an awesome restoring video of this sweet Duramax also those tires look so good on that truck love the choice of Rough Country they are sweet brother
Thank you very much!
The lift kit and wheels look great! 👍 What kind of bed rail caps do you have on that truck?
Thanks! They caps came with the RC bed cover
Master I have a single cab with the quadrssteer bed on a 10inch lift on 24x16 on 37s. Love the bed
The new set up looks better for sure
Nice looking truck Josh! Im currently doing my LBZ head gaskets at my buddys barn in clio. Pulling the cab tomorrow. Gonna be a learning experience for sure.
Looks really good I liked the other wheels too but I think it’s coming along really nicely good job can’t wait to see it finished
I’m digging it, I would daily drive that truck ! It’s going to be sweet when you finish it, can’t wait to see the end result Josh.

I have an 04 lb7...love that hes reatoring this truck
Baja front fenders. They match that bed. Looking good
Truck is really coming along, really nice job
Thanks!
Man you really made me just want to get rid of my new new truck, and the payments and get an older one and put the time into it. Love the vids man.
👍

Also. Had to get threaded rod to replace and extend the sway bar links. Or the sway bar will rub the boots of the bigger tie rods.
Nice lift kit, wheels/ tires sweet.
The bed is definitely a bit different.
Keep up the great work.
Best rims you have picked out on the channel
my opinion. I love the classic semi style i run some on my truck.
The Alcoa aluminum rims and tires fir summer the others for winter it's a win win both sets are awesome
@TruckMaster have you ever thought about installing the S&B fuel tanks on one of your trucks because you tow far distance sometimes. I just replaced my 26 gallon tank with the 62 gallon they have
Love the truck man you putting in a lot of hard work with this truck love to see it come together
I'm a Ford guy but I like what you've done to it. Great job so far. I'm not 100% sure but are the rear shocks installed upside down? I run the M1 shocks on my Superduty and I thought they were all designed to go body up with the exposed shaft at the bottom.

Dude I love that truck I love that bed too I want to get one for my 96 Chevy I'm still going to put a lift kit on it too
Great build. Thank you for sharing
That’s turning out to be a nice truck man get that thing painted and it’ll be my dream truck lol. I’m wanting a lb7 bad I’ve been shopping around for one but everything I’ve found is high mileage or out of my budget so far. Anyways keep up the good work man God bless you
Thanks brother
You should get pre runner front fenders so it matches the quadrasteer bed
Keep the front flares. They match the flared bed.
You think so? I guess we will find out when it’s finished
Looking sick man coming out hella badass what else do you plan on doing to it like color matched tow mirrors and smoked fender, 3rd brake and smoked cab lights will be hella cool man keep up the great work your killin it!!!
Old school bullet holes for sure they look way better than the visions
Looks good. Can’t wait to buy it
It looks really good
I have snapped 5 tie rods on my lly. They were all replaced under moogs lifetime warranty but I have since switched to kryptonite.
Yikes 😳
Rareparts makes a beefy tie rod ends as well as pitman and Idler arm sets.
Like the rim but I would get rid of the flares and spacers in the rear
I would definitely want it a little wider in the back though. Love the bed on that truck. Looks good my man
What color? Very Nice. Unique build. GMC has a new color this year - Thunderstorm Grey - it is a nonmetallic paint. Very nice.
Thanks! I’m thinking the same grey on this build
Love the quadrasteer bed 👌🏼
Thats why I clicked. I saw it and I thought it was a Quadrasteer!
Please get a wider prerunner style fenders for it I think she'll look minty with a wider front to match the wider rear
You should paint the truck grey to match those killer wheels👌🏼
As always great content, I don’t even have a diesel and I learn so much!
Sure turning out good! Are you having a body shop do the rockers and corners?
Thanks! Yes I’m having a shop do the body work
Wheels and tires look great ! Every time I see a Chevy guy doing a lift on these truck's all I can think is damn you need a Dana 60 ! Lol😂 Seriously though, I love the build !
I really need to do a straight axle build one day
My girlfriend totaled my 8 lug quadrasteer back in November. I’m buying an absolutely beautiful LBZ on Saturday. Planning to throw the Q steer axle, controls, and bed all on my new LBZ
2 questions what did the quad steer have for front fenders? Can your body guy match front fenders to back ones at least the flair lines?
Love the new wheels and tires, it just needs 2018 style tow mirrors but besides that I think the truck looks sweet
Do the torsion bars limit off road ability? Is this a tow rig? No disrespect just found the channel and the commitment to the build is awesome, I could tell you’ve been doing this for a while when I was watching, than saw the line up of trucks!
Long comment short as an IFS truck guy, solid axle truck lifts just seem to be body lifts to me adding more low hanging fruit to get caught up
You are right the straight axle off road rigs are way more practical
I like the new tire set up. I LOVE THE LIFT.
Looks good, gonna look great once you get the paint job done😊
3 years of saying, LETS SEE A SAS!
Great work Josh
I actually love the new wheels Josh. What brand are they? I always enjoy the helpful tips you give on these installs. Thanks
Thanks! They are called Vision
Personally I like the small wheels and bigger tires. But it is your build. Have fun with it.
Great build so far. Just curious as to where you got the rear bumper.
She's looking good! You made the suspension work look too easy! 🎉
Love the truck so far and can’t wait to see it when it’s finished but I do think it would have looked a little nicer on 35s instead of 33s, still looks like fire though!
I knew that this truck wasn't going to stay stock. I knew that you were going to do your best.
I can’t just leave it be sometimes 😂
@@TruckMaster that is a good thing.
The new wheels look awesome ,I would paint the truck ĺike a light tan or do a camo wrap
I personally like the new wheels!
Think the tires need more meet on them with the lift kit. Needs either a 35-37" wheel and honestly I'd go with a wider wheel maybe a 22 or 24x14 I think that would look sick
honestly i think going the opposite way would of looked insane, reverse level on 22x14s and 33s.
The truck is gonna look so amazing when you’re done
I like your idea. I'm thinking of doing same thing on my truck. glad you doing it.
Looking good! How’d you install the newer style rear bumper? Curious on mounting brackets and hardware you used. Thanks
I absolutely love this build!!
Thanks! 🙏
