Hey brother, I don’t know why you don’t have more subscribers you put the best content on YT about Duramax diesels. I have learned so much about my 05 Duramax from watching your channel. I have purchased stuff from your sight I love your key tags have them for my 04 & 05 trucks. Keep putting out great instructional content. God bless you and thank you for your service!
Best way to know if it's leaking fuel is by startup as you dealt with. Some may not know but diesels fuel systems need straight fuel to run smoothly. Taking a long time to start even after just shutting it off means air is getting into the system. I dealt with that whole hassle with a lly I had. Put a whole new fuel line going to the stock filter housing. Replaced the little gimmick in the tank and drained the tank. I can't remember off the top of my mind what that gimmick is. Replaced that and heared a hissing down behind the fuse box. Gave up on trying to make a clean route and finding the oem route took me hours of research and just couldn't read the manuals and plans for the life of me. Threw a new line over the heat shield of the turbo and it ran fine. Ended up selling it for 2k after injectors went out and frame was in rough shape. Miss that truck and could have afforded to fix it if I had just waited but patience isn't my thing😂
Definitely do a video series on the second level build. An informational video is an informational video, some may not know what all that entails who already has a garage big enough for such endeavors or that of those who are looking to build. Thanks for the update on the ole Rustymax(which is by far the best!)
@@TruckMaster Anytime brother. I have reached out previously, and God forbid it is not another scammer but I am trying to help grow a local diesel event in my community and would love to have a popular presence such as yourself and family attend. Please respond if you think you may be interested. If not thank you as well as all of your family and friends who support your endeavors up here! God Bless Brother!!!
This sounds really crazy just trust me on this. Easiest way to find a fuel leak on a diesel is to turn the a/c on full blast while the truck is running. It’ll cause it to spray out like crazy from where ever it’s leaking. 9/10 this works.
I have aligned 1000s of vehicles. Set your tire pressures first, then check and set ride height and then start setting caster/camber adjustments and then your toe settings last. Caster/camber adjustment affects your toe settings, so you do that last
My LBZ is leaking from the valley. After changing all my soft return lines, I'm convinced its my cp3. It leaks back and drips off of both sides of the bellhousing.
Its crazy how the correct tool makes all the difference. Installed an Exergy fuel system saver on my LML cp4 last week, I didn't have the correct tool for the belt tensioner pulley. But after 30 minutes of cursing I finally got that belt off the AC compressor. After that it was smooth sailing. Hopefully my CP4 doesn't explode any time soon. 🤞
Everything from the unique truck bed, and that killer tire and wheel set up man. This thing is looking like a beast. Can’t wait to see it finish and you ripping the streets with that thing. It’s come so far since you first bought looking beautiful.
Please make a shop video. We appreciate any video that you make. You should build a second floor that extends out to the end of the Wifemax and the full width of your garage.
I absolutely love your content truck master! It has been fun to go back and watch your old videos and see have far you have come. I get excited every time you post a new video big thumbs up from me thank you!! 👍🏽
@__TruckMaster__ I have a 05 lly and have a break issue that I’d love to have you come up with a solution. Had a few shops look at it and both said it’s normal. Live in perry as well. Keep up the good work videos are amazing
A shop mezzanine would be a nice addition. Keep a look out sales... warehouse sales for some good shelving. Your friend that did the remodeling work on the shop. May be a good contact for build information. So you can build it to proper weight capacity. Plus addition of lighting underneath it. Your shop is growing. That's a good thing. Might be more cost effective to consider further expansion. As for color of current project truck. Check out the new 23/24 models in metallic slate gray. Very sharp color trimmed in black. Then to match the blue under the hood and underneath. A nice quarter inch or double 1/8 inch. Matching blue pinstripe down the side and around the tailgate. Install some clean black front and rear mud flaps. Raptor line the bed and bedrails.
I once knew a guy who only had a one floor shop as well Josh. He eventually put a loft in it to clear some stuff off the main floor and gain some more working room , but that’s another story …..😏😉😆😎👍. Sorry , couldn’t resist the pun . Good luck on the Rust-Max , fixing the Red -max, and cannot wait to see whatever else you do with the Wife-max. C-ya when we do ….. 🤞
Yes, build a shop balcony a place to organize all your stuff but yet make a big enough so you can have a little area like a man cave with may be a TV and a small refrigerator for your cold beverages you know what I mean by that
You should put the s-series cab lights they have switch back and sequential turn signals in the cab lights as well as a start-up sequence they look amazing in my opinion
The upper control arm caster alignments. Kryptonite makes them with individual holes so they don't slide or move from the set caster position. I have them on my truck and I like them alot. It's easy for your own alignment. Just look it up on TH-cam. Lol
I’m literally doing the same exact project right now on a rusty LMM got the rough country 3 inch lift kit. I would love to see what you’re gonna do with the rusty rockers. I still need ideas on what I’m gonna do.
I have two shops first is 32X52, 8 foot walls with cathedral ceiling, 12' in peak, 7X12 door, have a shelf 5 foot by 32' on one end, it holds my snowmobiles, cause they are always in the way, im going to put a shelf on the other end 7 foot up, probably 4feet wide for storage, my other shop is 24X36, its literally where we make the messes and have all the tools, have a service pit in the floor, have and I beam in the structure for lifting engine and cabs, I drive semi truck so in the cold winter months i try to park the truck inside at night, stay strong guys, God bless
Hey truck master, I think you post awesome videos and you’ve been such a great help for me after buying my first duramax, I had a question about the ppe manifolds and up pipes, do the 2001-2004 ones fit on the lbz? Thanks in advance!
Ive been told that chirp is something that can just happen with these... not even belt, pully, or anything related. Just something that happens when the things shuts off... Good friend of mine just did a cp3 conversion on his LML. with other epa approved mods lol. His belts still chirps. & His good buddy is a certified GM master mech. and the local duramax guy for the dealerships in the area... I know my LLY stopped when i slapped a fleet runner belt on it, but hes had one too since before the cp4 blew... any-who. Shop video would be sick!
🤔…I don’t know about the balcony. How do feel about a lean off the back? Going up and down the stairs all the time Could get irritating Especially if the stuff is heavy. Just something to think about I guess. 👍
It’s just Walking through a door is so much easier than climbing stairs. Plus, There’s an option to build a little bigger 👍. No one ever says, “ l don’t know……It’s just Too much space”. 😜 ….God bless and good luck on all your projects. I look forward to the next video.
Hey, I got a quick question for you Josh. Do you run only the vehicles brand transmission fluid or would you go out and buy trans fluid made by valvoline for example?
It depends on the truck. For example my newer diesel I use everyday I try to stick with Amsoil or shaffers, but if just a old truck I’m planning on not putting a lot of miles I will use something less expensive.
That return hose you have looks like a 3/8ths, the barb fittings on the cp3 is a 5/16ths. You should not just clamp a bigger hose onto a smaller barb. Most likely why it was leaking.
How big is ur shop that u work out of? I was thinking of building a 60×80 shop ur feed back would be awesome I have a 2003 lb7 crew cab long box dually 4x4
Love these videos Josh my set up is similar so I get knowledge from you thanks I can sure use that scanner but I'm moving from socal to Florida this weekend and don't know my brother's address or I would definitely try to get that scanner lol I've entered alot of contests but no luck it's all good lol if it's still going on by next weekend I'm going to enter thanks for another great video best on Duramax on the Internet
My buddie has a fuel leak excessive!! first time was the rubber line 2 cp3 truck died. Fixed that truck runs but also still pukes fuel the any ideas? We have torn apart can’t seem to find it!
Sorry, I have 04 duramax. They're max LL would like to keep it. California compliance, yet I would like to upgrade the it takes and hot outtakes. Can you help me with that?
Thats the wrong type of clamp for fuel line. They make different style clamps for fuel line. Very important. Look into it and you will see what I'm talking about.
I have an 08 GMC LMM I wanted to buy the ppe down pipe up pipes and manifolds from your site. I have about 460K miles on it, (I have a small business and every coin saved helps out) moving pianos all over the Texas. I am getting back to runnin nation wide and to use my LMM instead of my L5P. Also which Air Dog would you recommend I use on my 08 LMM?

I agree - well edited too and thats not easy - takes time to do that and appreciated.
It definitely means the world to hear this! Also I appreciate your support for watching the videos.
You r right😂
I’d say mostly because his videos are just him talking about shit that doesn’t have anything to do with the video
Paint it the hood color definitely it matches the rims better.
I’m working on restoring my 07 LBZ as a retirement present to myself and almost all your videos have been a godsend.
Ditto
Definitely should paint it granite blue

I’m a Cummins guy but your content is great and consistent and never is the same thank you
Huge loft in the shop would be sweet. definitely do a build video on that!
Second story is a good idea. You won't regret it
Josh Definitely do a shop video, As a General Contractor my advice is over build it to carry future storage weight buddy!
Thanks David

Yes do a shop build video if u want to
My LBZ is leaking from the valley. After changing all my soft return lines, I'm convinced its my cp3. It leaks back and drips off of both sides of the bellhousing.
She's looking good.
I would love to see a video of the shop and a new addition to the shop.
👍👍👍
Parts loft makes a lot of sense. Would love to see a shop build video. They are pricey, but a Levrack would help maximize space too.

Great vid!
Invest in a big mag tray or two.. tools set in front of the windshield enough times will wrinkle a hood.
Yes isn't that the truth
Do the shop video! My shop is going up this spring and I want to do a mezzanine as well. Looking for ideas lol.
Dang. Always something, but I'm loving these builds
Pls do a video on repairing the rockers/cab corners for the guys in the rust belt 🫡
I will 👍
On my old LB7 I replaced every rubber hose!
You should put the s-series cab lights they have switch back and sequential turn signals in the cab lights as well as a start-up sequence they look amazing in my opinion
I like your thinking
Yes a shop video would be awesome

Would love to see a shop video for building a balcony. Put parts up there

Yes on shop video !
How and where did you find the rust max? I would love to find one similar and do the same thing

Great input thanks for sharing and you are very accurate I’ve seen that before as well. 👍
I noticed after I put my airdog on this is when it started I think the low pressure side of my fuel is above 8 psi
🤔…I don’t know about the balcony. How do feel about a lean off the back? Going up and down the stairs all the time Could get irritating Especially if the stuff is heavy. Just something to think about I guess. 👍
Wry good point although I think I’m only storing the big things I never really need that just take up space.
Yup, and that upper space will be a big dust/ dirt catcher 😢 Leantoo off the back better idea Josh 🤔👍
It’s just Walking through a door is so much easier than climbing stairs. Plus, There’s an option to build a little bigger 👍. No one ever says, “ l don’t know……It’s just Too much space”. 😜 ….God bless and good luck on all your projects. I look forward to the next video.

Love your content hope to see a dually cateye
Although much more expensive... I think you'd be better served by putting an addition on your garage.
you’ve taught me so much thank you
Looking for your video with black market fuel pump
loving the build
That return hose you have looks like a 3/8ths, the barb fittings on the cp3 is a 5/16ths. You should not just clamp a bigger hose onto a smaller barb. Most likely why it was leaking.
Good point as well
what's your opinion of the Rough Country kit so far?
They are not bad kits I wasn’t a fan of them 10 years ago but since then they have upped the quality
How big is ur shop that u work out of? I was thinking of building a 60×80 shop ur feed back would be awesome I have a 2003 lb7 crew cab long box dually 4x4

Where did you get the tailights that are on the rustmax?
eBay
Love the content, keep it up!!
2004 when I was born
Wheres Mrs truckmaster been.
When you leak test, place cardboard under it so you can see evidence of new leaks.
Great idea
Rims look good. Are those 22x10 or 20x10? What size tires? I've been really looking at the vision rocker for my 05 duramax very affordable rim thanks
When will the “Duramax Diesel” shirt be restocked? I’d love to get one and get enter for that scan tool!
Thanks! I’m thinking in a few months
@@TruckMaster Sounds good!
Hi JOSH - please do a shop/balcony video for storage. Thank you.

Your toe is off as well but as you said you’re having it aligned

I may be wrong but I’m pretty sure your front rotors are on the wrong side.
Your not wrong I need to fix that someone else called me out on that as well. Thanks for the heads up I plan to flip those around

The puiter color. Think thats spelled right. Lol. It will look the best

Yes 👍
I have a idea what you can do with the bullet hole wheels, put them on the Wifemax 😅😅🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Your upper control arms are backwards, the “RC” is supposed to be towards the front of the truck.
