    Saag is what drew me to Indian cuisine. I fell in love with every dish, but saag and keema mattar are my favorite. Nice video!

    Can I use baby spinach

    • @KravingsFoodAdventures
      @KravingsFoodAdventures  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can, BUT Baby Spinach is more delicate and has a milder flavour compared to regular Spinach. Also when cooked it tends to break down very fast due to it's tenderness and can get mushy whereas mature Spinach holds up well to the cook.

    I can't find mustard seed oil in the shops near mine but am making it tonight, can i just cook a teaspoon of black mustard seeds in the oil at the beginning? thanks!

    • @KravingsFoodAdventures
      @KravingsFoodAdventures  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can, but adding mustard oil vs the seeds is a different flavour profile. I'm sure it turned out delicious!

    Great video! We tried it today but for some reason the spinach got really smelly after we blended it, and then the final mix ended up tasting too much like spinach. Do you have any idea why this is happening?

    did you used green colour with palak? ?

    • @kanupriyajaireth6226
      @kanupriyajaireth6226 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      sonia sultan she never used any food colour. You have misunderstood. She added the spinach in the end to retain it's green colour.

    • @soniasultan8260
      @soniasultan8260 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      It was very dark green that's why I just thought to ask anyway thanks for informing 👍

    • @KravingsFoodAdventures
      @KravingsFoodAdventures  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Sonia! Yeah like Kanupriya said no food colour. The longer it stays on the heat the darker it gets. So in the beginning it's nice and light but as it gets heated the color changes.

    • @soniasultan8260
      @soniasultan8260 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    Palak is "spinach " and SAAG is "mustard leaves " big difference between the two...don't confused this fact please....then call coriander "parsley" which it isn't...just as to Bartar (swap) isn't the same as Haggling ( bringing the price down)..Delicious recipe BTW...Blessings from the UK ❤🌹🙏

  • @ammysingh6733

    The real name of dish is palak chicken notta Saag chicken, both are different recipes. Saag chicken cook with mustard leaves the saag with palak. You are cooking it palak only hence it is only Palak Chicken 😊

    • @KravingsFoodAdventures
      @KravingsFoodAdventures  6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Actually I looked it up. Saag refers to a green leafy veg like palak or mustard. Palak or sarson can be used together or separately to make Saag.

    don't ever show a recipe that has natural ingredients - then say add someones random garam masala (which is 100% different from person to person!). Yes - do this - then add random ingredients!
