Got me there for a second when you said it takes 4 gallons 🤣 I was like wait what?? Then you said 5.5 quarts lol. Thank you for this video. I am going to be doing this to my 2012 T&C. 👍
I appreciate your content and the only thing I would add would be short disclaimers like “make sure there is adequate ventilation when running vehicles, please exercise safety when taking on any job and add a tag line “ from K-Diagnostic’s be safe, just a turn of that wrench can get it done.
I have to replace 2 Ox Sensors on my 2014 Town and country van. They are both upstream. I guess I should replace the downstream sensors at the same time? When you replace the transmission filter and oil, should you do a flush of it???
@deanjagger1190 when you replace the sensor you don't need to replace all the sensors, you can just replace the faulty sensor amd about the transmission! you can just do a drain and fill, that's ok too!
Hi , good video , one little question my friend, what will you do if you finish the job and you have a oil pan leaking , How you will fix it. ? Thank you
@@KITS_Auto_and_Truck_Repair Thank you. You are doing a great work for lots of widows, veterans, sick elderly, and orphans (praise God). Please take in some young apprentices and teach them, too. Bless you.
You put in 5 litres, which is 5.3 quarts + another 1.5 quarts for a total of 6.8 quarts of transmission fluid in. This is 1.3 quarts more than you wanted to put in. Won't over filling by this much cause problems in the transmission?
In your video the large trans fluid container says “1.3 gallons” on it. 1.3 gallons = 5.2 quarts! (Check any online calculator!!) 5.2 + you added 1 full quart bottle + 1/2 (That’s 6.2 and 1/2 quarts!) 😮
My mother has 2015 Dodge Caravan and MPG has dropped to about 12 and 13 mpg City but Hwy it will increase up to about 18 or 19 depending on how long she drive, how can we increase the city performance, thank you, Fitz from Rochester, NY
Instead of dropping the pan first in order to remove the transmission fluid, why didn't you stick a rubber hose in from the top and transfer a majority of the fluid? Doing so would eliminate A LOT of potential mess all over your garage floor or driveway.
I appreciate your Work but for me it wasn't complete ? 🤔 Because it seem like you forgot to flush the lines the one that goes to the RADIATOR those need to be Flush 👈 I m right or wrong..🤔
It was a drain and fill, not a flush. I would be very cautious doing a flush as it could dislodge something I wouldn't want flowing through the valve body.
svhebert Good question, I did a drain and fill not a flush, a flush requires draining everything including the torque converter, and there was no metal shavings in the oil pan. so when you do a drain and fill you don't have to drain the lines!
He forgot to start the engine for 15 sec and switch to reverse and drive couple times before re-install the new pan and filter to force the residual old oil out of the converter.

What causes the transmission in these to "slip" on start-up? It only happens on start-up, and not often. Thanks.
@davidb2206 you might be low on oil or your torque converter is about to fail!

Fitzroy Burke does it have a check engine light on?
Check her engine air filter. If that's dirty it will drop her mpg dramatically. Easy, cheap fix.

does a 3.6 take 5 quarts aswell?
Hector Boyar Yes it's pretty much the same quantity!
if the filter is that tight in the sleeve, why change the sleeve?
@rwill10282 it's recommended to replace the sleeve!
So it only take 5 and a half??
@ryanmerccer3660 quart of trans fluid?
