Thanks for the video! I'm watching from Russia. This video helped me change the oil in the transmission on the Volga siber (restyling of the Chrysler Sebring) car
@Alexgfshu you are very welcome! Glad to help. Thanks for the information on the Volga Siber. I looked around on the internet for more about it. Interesting. Thanks for watching! ~Mr. C.
@Here4theTshirt that is so cool you watched all the way to the end. Sometimes I will throw a blooper in right there. Most people don't make it that far. You made my day with your comment. Thank you! ~Mr. C.
Nice Video man! I do videos on this vehicle too. I'm doing this soon, I've always had a shop do this for the full flush but this is a good vid for DIY fluid filter change. Thanks, and I love the Jug fluid catch idea! Your new subber in Seattle
@RussShawTV excellent! Thanks for taking the time to make the videos. The job is very straightforward. The jug idea was one of those out of necessity situations. It works great though and is very affordable. Thanks for the sub and for watching! ~Mr. C.
@Bill-fh5nu I made it myself. I will make a short video explaining everything and send you a link. It does really help keep the mess to a minimum. If done properly when the pan is lowered you don't even get a drip around the edge. Very nice. Thanks for watching and asking! Happy wrenching. ~Mr. C.
I'm curious how many quarts I actually need to buy, and did you have any issues after you did this service? In picking up a 05 and want to do the same thing on it
@msgaming71601 I needed 4 quarts for the filter and fluid change. The torque converter holds a little more than 4 more quarts. I did not and do not have any issues after the service. The transmission now has over 279000 miles on it. I change my fluid every 30000 miles. I guess it helps. Great question. Thanks for watching and asking. ~Mr. C.
@Mikes1222 for the filter change it took 4 quarts. If I remember correctly it is 8-10 qts for a complete fill from empty. Thanks for watching and asking. ~Mr. C.
@NaturesCadenceFarm yeah it's weird, I didn't flush it but I took the pan off and filter and changed it. I got 4 quarts and it showed full after not even 4 quarts. I'm guessing it takes a few days for it to soak up in the filter? Right now it shows over full but that can't be right. We are gonna watch it the next few days and weeks to see if it goes down. I also changed the shift solenoid. So far it's shifting way better, before it wouldn't go into gear at all. Thanks so much for your video.
@Mikes1222 that is very interesting. I have not had an issue with the filter taking a long time to soak up the fluid. Keeping an eye on it is a good idea. I do that too. Glad she is shifting now. What a relief. If you have more information I would love to hear about it. ~Mr. C.
@francisstorry6753 the transmission needs to be idling and in park. I made short video for you. th-cam.com/users/shortsErv_f9R_WbA?feature=share Thanks for watching and asking! ~Mr. C.
@user-kw5uu6et7j if the level is above the full mark whe the transmission is hot, level, idling, and in park there is too much transmission fluid. Thanks for watching and asking! ~Mr. C.
@dappa311 yes. Check out 11:18 in the video. I mention taking it for a test drive and checking the fluid level after that. Thanks for watching and asking. I love questions from viewers. ~Mr. C.

Where did you get that fluid pump? Or did you make it yourself? Using the pump would prevent a huge mess from happening when the fluid is draining
@Bill-fh5nu I made it myself. I will make a short video explaining everything and send you a link. It does really help keep the mess to a minimum. If done properly when the pan is lowered you don't even get a drip around the edge. Very nice. Thanks for watching and asking! Happy wrenching. ~Mr. C.
@Bill-fh5nu I made that video showing a little closer look at the pump system.

@user-zy6bl3fy1i I appreciate that. Thanks for watching! ~Mr. C.
How many quarts did you use to fill it up? I'm about to flush mine
@Mikes1222 for the filter change it took 4 quarts. If I remember correctly it is 8-10 qts for a complete fill from empty. Thanks for watching and asking. ~Mr. C.

Shouldn’t it be in neutral to check the level?
@francisstorry6753 the transmission needs to be idling and in park. I made short video for you.

@@NaturesCadenceFarm thank you so very very much. Now I know.
Can you tell me how much transmissision fluid is too much
@user-kw5uu6et7j if the level is above the full mark whe the transmission is hot, level, idling, and in park there is too much transmission fluid. Thanks for watching and asking! ~Mr. C.
Shouldn't the fluid be checked when the transmission is hot?

Yeah well, the pan is glued on, beating banging....argh...
@deanhil3978 oh man I hate that. What a pain in the neck. Hang in there. Happy wrenching. ~Mr. C.
