Can't find a better mechanic on TH-cam for these little city cars! Never mind the labour you put in but the camera work and voice over work is second to none too!!! Please keep them coming I will definitely watch and like👌👍
I can’t express how much this video helped. I had exactly the same job and the same problems. I tried initially on 23rd Dec, having watched other videos, but gave up. I finally found your video and completed the job today. Same issues as you - hands cut to pieces, difficulty removing clutch assembly, struggle to remove the old blower and lots of time trying to fit the new blower. Many thanks, but never again. 😂
A family member just got a 12 plate Aygo and has this exact issue. This video will make my life massively easier! Can’t praise you enough for making this video 🙏
I cut a section out of the air duct above the fan. No need to remove clutch brackets or cable. Just the one mobiliser box. Thanks for the video, cant believe what a nightmare job it is. Managed to get second hand fan from E BAY. (£35) Fitted , now all good.
I paid twice that from a car breakers 2 days before this Christmas (2024). I had seen them on eBay for far less, but didn't have enough time to order. Car breaker mentioned how it took them 4 hours and breaking some stuff on the car to get that part out & it's why he charged so much for it. But I had no choice considering how horrible and dangerous it is to drive without heating in the car. If it snows or rains, you're dead in the water mate.
Did this on a citroen c1 yesterday, would not have tackled it without your step by step video, thanks for going to the time and trouble of putting this on YT
Anton. This video is amazing. Thanks a lot. With these extra steps (5 minutes) , you get get all the room you need without the horrid wiggling and risk of damaging your new motor: (1) Remove clutch mount, plates and pedal (1a) Remove clutch plate under driver footwell (as the video shows) (1b) Remove clutch mounting bracket (as the video shows) (1c) NEW. Lift the clutch mounting bracket and pedal out the top of dash and completely away, disconnect the clutch switch on the way out. (2) NEW. Move cable loom out of the way (2a) NEW. Undo (or cut) cable tie on loom going from firewall to binnacle (2b) NEW. Remove cable tidy plastic bracket from the metal bracket and push to driver side (10mm self tap bolt) (2c) NEW. Undo all cable connectors from the binnacle that come into the cluster from the firewall - push the cable bundle with the connector ends down hole where clutch pedal was removed With the steering column dropped, you now have everything out of the way and a motor-sized space to get them swapped - no wriggling, bags of room.
Thanks for this comment, was a massive help! Previous mechanic had done this job and I assumed just forced the motor through the gap and had cracked the fan part was making an absolute racket inside the car when turned on. He complained and they just gave him his money back and refused to put it right. So here I am fixing other peoples mistakes again. This comment and the video helped a lot! Thanks to both of you! Perfect!
Thanks for the additional pointers David! May just add (for anyone else reading this) that 1C should be done after all other steps in this video, otherwise getting the clutch pedal out of the top of the dash is an absolute pain in the arse!
Just done this today. 1.5 hours to get it out, 2 hours to put new one in and reassemble everything. I'm sure it would have been twice that without learning all the top tips from your video. 👍👏
Hi Ant - I have just fixed my blower motor because of this video. This is coming from a 27 year old woman who has no clue with cars but really wanted to save myself some money. Thank you SO SO much !!! This was definitely a hard job but it is manageable for those thinking about whether to take this on or not.
A big thanks to you Anton, with the aid of your video I saved a fortune and completed the job perfectly and without cutting the airbox, I fancy doing another 1 now!
😂😂😂 I'm thinking of redoing the job when I buy a new heater fan as I installed a used one and there's an instability on maximum heat 4. Fancy more of this job now. Great video this.
With your video and the comments complete the job in around 1hr 15mins, I cut away the corner of the heater box which meant you didn’t need to drop the steering column. Re-fixed the heater box and job done. Much appreciated and save me hundreds doing it myself. Thanks
@@aaanton11 no thank you for the video, It also meant you could loosen the clutch but not have to remove it fully, only have it loose to move it to the right,
I can't thank you enough for making this video. Had to change the fan in my wifes 107 today and had I not found it I would probably still be scratching my head. Your tips about pulling the cable all the way through the bulkhead, removing the extra plate on the clutch pedal and taking the bolts out of the speedometer so the steering column can go down a little bit more were invaluable and without knowing these it would have been impossible to get the job done.
netherlands here: we enjoyed your video highly. we had a beer and a laugh, and loved your patience.hopefully next weekend we've the same. then tinkering on our son C1. Groetjes Taeke and Maria.
My blower was making an identical noise. I followed your video to the point of trying to get it out then I reached inside the back of the heater and found a piece of sandpaper! No more noisy heater. I am glad I did this before actually getting the motor out of the tiny little gap
You my friend have saved me a ton of money. Having watched your video about 4 times for the past 3 months finally plucked up the courage to give it a go. The fact you struggled actually helped me as I knew it would be a pain in the ass from the onset. I took your advice and cut a corner of the air intake away and dropped the clutch pedal. Also took the opportunity to change the fan resister why the dash was out. Works a dream. Thanks again. For anyone reading interested ,my fan would work intermittently and also worked when I removed it on the bench. Seems the bearings were on their way out so when it stopped the motor didn’t have enough power to initially overcame the slight resistance from the worn bearings .
@@wiganer9912 that’s right, just nipped a bit off the corner and took the clutch bracket off. Still a pig of a job but saved a fortune taking it somewhere to be done.
@@chriscrook7511 Thanks, gonna finally have to give this a go, just been taking the dash off and squirting wd40 in there, that's been working for 6 months but time to bite the bullet especially as its just passed its mot.
Excellent video.. especially naming the 1/4" rachet, universal joint, 2 exension bars and a deep reach 12mm socket. I went straight to tool shop, bought the exact bits i was short of, and was able to remove that pesky bottom clutch pedal bracket nut without too much trouble. It's impossible to remove otherwise. I did cut the corner of the heater box, which saved me dropping the steering column. Glued it back solidly with upvc mitre bond in an instant. Still took me about 5 hours but saved me over £500. Thanks a million.
Replaced my blower motor yesterday calling many profanities throughout the process. I'd like to say a special thank you to Anton because without this video I would not have a clue how to do this. It's saved me a few queen heads too. Keep up the quality content.
This right here is the master video how to do this job. My chest feels like it's been run over by a huge truck after 2 days having done this job. I had a few little plastics broken at the end of the fan blades because I missed taking out a few bolts. What a job folks! Don't take on this job before watching this video(actually, I'd recommend watching this video while doing the job) and do not charge some stupid money for it lest you will definitely undoubtedly & unfortunately regret at the end. This is a nasty little piece of work. The only correction is that the presenter talks about how easier it would be on an LHD and still refers this as an LHD yet this is a RHD. He just mis-spoke there. Job took me 6 solid hours as I don't have a garage to operate from. For a professional, I think it would take a good 3- 4 hours or just about. Wonderful video I feel a lot qualified from it.😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Here's the blower motor/heater core/evaporator. Now build the rest of the car around it. Thanks for the video, filming it must have made the job even longer. Going to ensure I always keep my blower on low speed 😆
Wow!!!! Thank you so very much for this amazing video. Having realized that this was so involved I was on the verge of looking for a new car. But I thought I’m going to have a go. Your video is an absolute lifesaver, I can’t thank you enough, it’s step by step guide made me have the confidence to have a go. It worked and was just as you said it would be. 5 hours later and it has all gone back together with just one washer left over, that can’t be important. I am so grateful to you, thank you!!!!,
Just did the job myself! Took me 5 hours too but that involved an hour or fucking about, as I had to go with the “rough and ready” method you stated in your follow up video by cutting a piece of the vent plastic out. Couldn’t for the life of my get the blower motor past the clutch pedal and the wiring loom above the steering column. I did everything the same as you but I couldn’t see the exact position you put the clutch pedal in, so that may have been my problem. Removing the piece of plastic makes it HUGELY easier. You still need to drop the clutch pedal, but this way you just lift the motor straight up and out. Regardless though, it’s done, and now my sister has a functioning blower motor! Thanks again, your video was a god send!
Thanks for the informative, detailed video showing the heater blower replacement. I did the wife's 107 this weekend, with great success. The replacement was an EIS pattern item from Euro carparts. Incidentally it was 10mm shorter in height, making installation easier. The only fly in the ointment is that since reassembly, the airbag warning light now flashes! Probably have to get it hooked up to a code reader. Thanks again. 👍
Thank you for your video - it's great. My son and I managed to replace the blower motor in about 3 1/2 hours. But fortunately I’ve a left-hand drive vehicle, so that the clutch pedal and steering column don’t get in the way. But it’s anyway a challenge to replace the blower motor, because the gap for replacing is very scarce. So the solution was to cut out the insulation in the range, where it hinders moving the motor. After replacement the cut-out insulation can be reinstalled witch two-sided adhesive tape.
Had the same job in at work today this video made my life so much easier only thing i did differently was remove the clutch pedal from the bracket and removed in 2 pieces this made it slightly easier to access the bolts
Great video I was looking at my aunties C1, I thought could it be a fuse, I checked every single one, I thought could it be a heat resistant transistor or a motor, before I got too far, I thought this looked tricky. Well I'm just a tinkerer, before I make a mess I call my garage, they might have a nack for getting in to these things, well after fiddling for hours, my garage said it was a days job to change the motor. After seeing this video one if I had the time I think I could do it, but I totally understand why my garage said how difficult it was, well done for producing this video and shame on the joint Japanese (drive on the same side of the road as UK) and French designers of this car.
This video really helped me twice, I had to do the job a second time when the new fan failed after 6 months, still waiting for warranty claim to be settled. Really useful, honest work thru' . Thanks.
Just swapped my one today. Couldn't do it for a month as the weather was so bad on the weekend and was dark after work. I cycle to work so it wasn't much of a bother. The times I had to drive I got a wiper for the inside window haha. Thanks for the video my one was a LHD so alot less steps for me.
Thank you so much mate! We live in Sweden and our heater blower motor gave up. You literally saved us about 500 quid on just labour costs. Part was so cheap. So cheers! Edit: and winter is creeping up on us day by day and this fix was necessary! Ours is a left hand drive so the part just came out without all the hassle 😀
Massive thank you, just today replaced my neighbours blower and resistor and it’s a pest to do when you have some good info never mind going in blind! Ironically the clutch bracket bolts were easy to take off as the original blower gave access, the Valeo replacement was in the way during the refit! Again many thanks, took me just shy of 4 hours with a tea break and swear fest 😀
Thanks for this great video. Having looked at your video and explenation it only took me 1 hour and 10 minutes to replace succesfully the fan. I have to say that I had a Aygo automaat . But having see how to remove the whole dashboard was great. These kind of video's are like following the head man climbing a unknown mountain. Once the dashboad was removed , it was clear where the fan was situated . Thanks!!!
Great video, wish I thought to check into TH-cam before I did this job yesterday, every step you did was spot on and it took me 4 to 5 hours too I'm going to add to your video some tips if anyone's reading and you basically mentioned them anyway disconnect the key reader wire be careful doing up speaker tappers with metal ratchets as it's easy to smack and break the screen check the motor works before building everything up cut down the heater box top with sidecuts to get motor in, only like 1mm needed I disconnected clutch cable on gearbox for safety of my finger's remember to connect up the passenger airbag or car needs a scan tool to remove airbag light on dash I dropped all dash down to remove bottom left clutch box bolt with about 5. 1/4 inch extensions to left of steering wheel, you did it differently but I found it near impossible your way,but well done the black box you undid on top of steering wheel is the central locking module not the immobilisor enjoyed your video, take care,oh and getsome mechanics gloves😀👍👍
Finally did this today, this video was a great help, it took me 5 hours, the hardest part was putting that ''stupid'' bracket back on that stops the clutch pedal in an accident, I also unplugged the flimsy transponder wire because I just know I would have snapped it because that's how I roll. If anyone wants to have a go at this, then this video is spot on!!!!! I can't find the bottom bolt off the right-hand side of the clutch pedal though, but like I said, that's how I roll.
Many thanks for this video helped a lot in replacing the Blower motor. I went for a spurious copy part at £32. Couple of things I noticed that might help others, before you fully engage the new motor in housing start the nut on the upper fixing stud I could not get it on with motor in place. Also make sure you look carefully how the clutch pedal safety plate is fitted when you remove it and replace it before attaching the clutch cable to the pedal. Suggest testing fan whilst dash is still out before putting it all back together.
Just done my 107! Thanks for the video/help - it was better than a Haynes Manual could ever be! I hacksawed the back right off the heater and then easy to superglue back on. Made it easy getting the blower out and the new one in.
Thank you for one more lovely episode from under the covers at my favourite little car 😃 seems both kindof horrible to do this, but also that I'm in good company and that it's totally possible with some time, patience and humour 👍 Thanks a lot mate!
Thank you so much for detailed video that gave me the confidence to tackle my myself after local garage quoted £800! Successfully completed for less than £100. Brilliant
Good afternoon I've just finished fitting a new fan with the help of your very informative video so thanks for all your help. All I can say my friend is how did you start so composed and calm but well done for your restraint. Keith
If just done this job on my daughter's c1 and yes its A pig of a job . I followed this video for reference and it was so much easier thanks to your great video . Big key for everyone is taking the protective shield off the steering column it that that gives you the room to move the clutch bracket enough to get that sucker out ? . Took me about 4 hrs with a tea break .
I was winging on my own got up to dropping steering down, yes seeing your vid just speeded up the last hour, but yes I was on 5 hours up til then, many thanks
I got to the point where I need to take those 2 clutch bracket bolts off, got the top one off with a spanner but don't have a socket set with all the bits you used. Great video though and happy that I managed to get everything else off up to this point with the video's help. Got a mechanic mate coming round to help me tomorrow :)
This was a fantastic walkthrough! Managed to complete the job in around 4 hours. The only thing I can’t do is get that plate back on you took off around 24:00 in, hoping it’s not too important.
Fantastic video and made my life a little easier. Don’t forget to make yourself a shadow board (piece of cardboard) and label each piece so you remember where each nut and bolt came from.
Thank you for this video. I've just finished doing the change. I got the dash back together, reached to get the speaker covers....and saw a black box. Only left the immobilizer off 😂🤣😂😂
Brilliant video, couldn't have attempted this myself without this superb video, can I just add that cutting corner of heater tray directly above blower helps enormously, plus I had another problem my heater was very close to clutch bracket studs and I had to use thinner bolts to overcome, brilliant video cheers 🥂
Brilliant video, my heater packed in a few weeks ago and this video has helped me in deciding just to sell the car lol, seriously though thank you so much for your time in helping us all.
Anton, thanks so much for this video! I did the fan replacement on my Aygo a couple of weeks ago and couldn't have done it without this video. One tip for others attempting this - I struggled with getting the clutch cable disconnected and was worried that if I did get it off, I wouldn't be able to get it back on again. I got someone to press the clutch pedal in all the way, then I jammed the clutch arm on the gearbox using a screwdriver. When the pedal is released, there is no tension in the clutch cable at all, and it can be unhooked much easier. About to do the front disc and pads and will be referring to your videos on this too! Thanks again 🙂
Brilliant video and commentary aaanton, Im probably starting tomorrow fitting after market locking and power windows to my wifes C1, I may not have to go so far as you on the dash strip down, however, you have shown how to gain lots of access for wiring and control boxes, well done mate.
This video helped me allot. Than you :). My blower did run some times when I hit the dashboard, so I know it was a motor error. Since I did not have a new motor I hoped to fix it. To separate the fan from the motor, use a hammer and hit the senter pin. Use a screwdriver to drive it trough. Then remove the plast clips and take out the motor form the plastic. My problem was that the sliding brush had got stuck. Removing the small metal clip and take out the spring. Then test that the connector slides freely. Put every thing back and viola you have a working blower. PS some trouble to get out the fan on a left side drive car, but did not need to remove clutch etc.
Just completed this job today on my daughter’s Citroen C1. Took me best part of 6 hours. On a rhd car you must take off the clutch pedal (4 bolts) but then you cannot remove it with the heater motor still in the way. My solution was to break up the old motor casing (plastic) and this made removal easy. I then removed the clutch pedal from the top (not that easy), cut back the sound insulation in the bulkhead and was able to drop the new motor in (honestly fairly easy). Putting the clutch pedal back, reconnecting the clutch cable and putting everything back all takes time.
Thanks Anton, following your video helped me to replace the fan in our Aygo, it would have been so smooth and easy if only I hadn't forgotten to reconnect the central locking module under the dash DOH!
Now contemplating wearing a coat when winter comes 🤣🤣 Aygo my first car 6 years ago engine drank more oil that petrol and the aux belt snapped ! Did engine change and gave to my little sister as her first car ! Just bought it back for £200 needs blow heater new shocks on the back and a bearing done ! Then I'll be doing some spray work and interior modification ! Some better speakers and fitting an Aframe
Thanks alot for this detailed video, my blower gave up 2 days ago, and winter is comming very soon, luckily i have a another aygo i take parts from, and I live in sweden so we drive on left side, so this should be easy👌
Great video. Wish you'd published this a year ago as I did the exact same thing. I had similar blower issue where it made that noise and eventually stopped working. Just a word of caution don't assume it's the blower motor as after I replaced it with a new one it still didn't work. Turned out to be the fan speed switch so I'd recommend checking the blower is getting power first. Would have saved me a day doubled over in the footwell cursing the car designers.
Thanks Fraze for the great information, usually the fan will work on max but not on 1,2,3 if the resistor is gone or not at all if the motor\switch/fuse failed👍🏻👍🏻🛠
Another great video by aaanton workshop. I like the most you don't cut out stuff that didn't go that easy. Just one small comment for DIY fellows out there. In C1/Aygo/Peugeot 107 with left hand drive you can get the heater blower out from the top even without loosening the steering column as there is not even the support for the clutch cable holder (as shown in the video e.g. at 38:20). So one can use the extra space by pushing the blower towards this soft damping material. It's still pretty cumbersome to pass it through, but you can do it without damaging it (used also the space between the fan and motor attached to rotate it around the heater box towards front/steering weel, then tilt it a bit towards your direction and go down). Might be some kind of IQ test, it took me at least 15 min to figure out how :-))), but for sure you are faster - good luck.
You have great patience. Great the way you stay so relaxed. I am thinking about changing my Toyota Yaris for a new Toyota Aygo. Just hope that if I do the heat blower never packs up!
it is not a common fault, that's why this was the first one I have attempted, the new aygo looks great, a proven track record Thanks for the great comments👍🏻👍🏻🛠.
Great video, thank you. Helped me replace my broken aygo key case. Also tried to use the original back but it didn't fit, helped to see this on the video too.
I could not believe how much easier it was to get the motor out and the new one in just by cutting the corner off the heating box above the motor as well. A 3 inch by 3 inch piece cut with a hacksaw blade, easy to do. All in all, a real pain in the backside job.
I have one of these ...praying it wont go wrong. But you have explained it well.so I would give it a go..I followed your advice on the rear wheel bearing that was a success, thanks,..keep up these great videos.
Did the job this evening. start at 19.30 and 22:00 hour i finish the job. i dit not remove te pedal and clutch. i remove it in up direction. Thanks for showi g hoe to remove the dashboard.
I solved your problem with not getting the fan out. Your steering wheel is on the right. When items on the left u can just pop it out. Just did mine. It fibrated loose and the fan got jammed😁
Had same problem but I cut a part out of the plastic air box directly above the blower came out easily and other one in without much problem..used araldite to glue the box back together..still working great after 12months
Watched this one for the second time yesterday to tackle my own fan and still managed to forget about that plate before removing the clutch pedal 😂, but all in all got it done in two hours. Thanks for the help.
What a biatch of a job! My partners' C1 non aircon blower was playing up for weeks... a strategically placed thump on the dash got it working for a month b4 it finally gave up... I ended up cutting off a small triangle section with my Dremel from the air distribution shroud above the blower motor (gaffa/gorilla taped it back after... I Used a pattern part from eBay for £45... Let's see how long it lasts!? ... Cheers for the in depth 'how to' it was much appreciated 👏
Just did this in ~3 hours on a left hand drive Peugeot 107. Does indeed have a lot more space to get the blower out, however still tight. To anyone who is considering doing this themselves, I can recommend it, as it was doable
Hello there. I have the same Peugeot model and I'm having issues with the evaporator core, it's bellow the driver seat, next to the feet vent. Please any indication of how to remove it without too much disassembly?
Can I reach to the heater control valve if I just remove the radio? I need to fit the wire coming from the temperature control lever as it came off after I removed the knob. Please help.
I've just done this in 2 hours Once you remove dash top there's a control unit in front undo that and release wiring loom unscrew the black housing and move everything to the right. Remove wiring from the old motor unscrew motor it's a tight fit but it will come out through the top. Once out cut the bulkhead insulation not too much but your need to peel this back as your gain half an inch refit new motor done quite easy
Hi ant have you ever tried to remove the grey heather switch cover plate front, that sits under the radio as daughters light has blown and would like to fix it, i take that you would have to move the heater slides not sure what to call them one on each side of the grey front cover that you use to adjust settings for the blower apart from that not sure what to do next thanks.
Fantastic workmanship . I have the c1 witch keeps blowing headlight bulbs . I drove my car to citroen and they told me my timing chain needs replacing. Its only covered 60.000 miles went for a second opinion and was told the alternator had gone. Go figure
Or you might have unbranded bulbs, could be the alternator overcharging, but that would blow other bulbs as well, definitely not the timing chain, thanks for the great comments 👍🏻👍🏻🛠
Thank you sooooo much!!! My heatingfan is replaced only took 2 hours. Your video was a great help. Only have 1 plastic screw left over 😆 Thanks again. If I ever get to the UK again I’ll buy you a Ton of pint’s 👍
I’ve watched the link in the description, think I agree with you, there’s no way you would separate the fan while in the car, I’ll stick with your original method. Just ordered a new fan with Euro car parts, can’t wait till tomorrow 😬😬
Maximum gratitude man. Took me 4 hours but would have been double without this. I had to move soundproofing to get enough room and still had to force it out and in. Thankfully no damage to the new (cheap copy) motor. If I have to do another one, I'm hacksawing that corner off the housing.

Anton. This video is amazing. Thanks a lot. With these extra steps (5 minutes) , you get get all the room you need without the horrid wiggling and risk of damaging your new motor:
(1) Remove clutch mount, plates and pedal
(1a) Remove clutch plate under driver footwell (as the video shows)
(1b) Remove clutch mounting bracket (as the video shows)
(1c) NEW. Lift the clutch mounting bracket and pedal out the top of dash and completely away, disconnect the clutch switch on the way out.
(2) NEW. Move cable loom out of the way
(2a) NEW. Undo (or cut) cable tie on loom going from firewall to binnacle
(2b) NEW. Remove cable tidy plastic bracket from the metal bracket and push to driver side (10mm self tap bolt)
(2c) NEW. Undo all cable connectors from the binnacle that come into the cluster from the firewall - push the cable bundle with the connector ends down hole where clutch pedal was removed
With the steering column dropped, you now have everything out of the way and a motor-sized space to get them swapped - no wriggling, bags of room.
Thanks david for the great information and taking the time to post👍🏻👍🏻🛠

Many many thanks Anton! Changed my C1's blower - took 4-5 hrs. Would never have been able to do this without your video
Thanks for the great comments👍🏻👍🏻🛠
With your video and the comments complete the job in around 1hr 15mins, I cut away the corner of the heater box which meant you didn’t need to drop the steering column. Re-fixed the heater box and job done. Much appreciated and save me hundreds doing it myself. Thanks
Thanks for the great information👍🏻👍🏻🛠
@@aaanton11 no thank you for the video, It also meant you could loosen the clutch but not have to remove it fully, only have it loose to move it to the right,
I can't thank you enough for making this video. Had to change the fan in my wifes 107 today and had I not found it I would probably still be scratching my head. Your tips about pulling the cable all the way through the bulkhead, removing the extra plate on the clutch pedal and taking the bolts out of the speedometer so the steering column can go down a little bit more were invaluable and without knowing these it would have been impossible to get the job done.
Well done! Thanks for the great information👍🏻👍🏻🛠
netherlands here: we enjoyed your video highly. we had a beer and a laugh, and loved your patience.hopefully next weekend we've the same. then tinkering on our son C1. Groetjes Taeke and Maria.
Have fun! Thanks for the great comments👍🏻👍🏻🛠
I followed this video repairing my left sitet 107. Thanks to this I did the job in 2 hours and 7 min. Thanks a lot
Thanks for the great comments👍🏻👍🏻🛠
My blower was making an identical noise. I followed your video to the point of trying to get it out then I reached inside the back of the heater and found a piece of sandpaper! No more noisy heater. I am glad I did this before actually getting the motor out of the tiny little gap
great spot well done Thanks for the great comments👍🏻👍🏻🛠
Well done great job Chris, Thanks for the great comments👍🏻👍🏻🛠
Did you only need to cut the corner and drop the clutch, or did you need to also do the steering column etc as in the video?

Well done great repair, Thanks for the great comments👍🏻👍🏻🛠
Replaced my blower motor yesterday calling many profanities throughout the process. I'd like to say a special thank you to Anton because without this video I would not have a clue how to do this. It's saved me a few queen heads too. Keep up the quality content.
great job, Thanks for the great comments👍🏻👍🏻🛠
Mate you saved me loads of time!!! Getting the replacement in is most harder than getting the knackered one out!!! Thanks for the video.
Glad it helped Thanks for the great comments👍🏻👍🏻🛠
Wonderful video I feel a lot qualified from it.😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Well done!! Thanks for the great comments👍🏻👍🏻🛠
Here's the blower motor/heater core/evaporator. Now build the rest of the car around it. Thanks for the video, filming it must have made the job even longer. Going to ensure I always keep my blower on low speed 😆
Thanks for the great comments👍🏻👍🏻🛠
I am so grateful to you, thank you!!!!,
Wonderful! Thanks for the great comments👍🏻👍🏻🛠
Thanks again, your video was a god send!
magic well done Thanks for the great comments👍🏻👍🏻🛠
Thanks for the informative, detailed video showing the heater blower replacement. I did the wife's 107 this weekend, with great success. The replacement was an EIS pattern item from Euro carparts. Incidentally it was 10mm shorter in height, making installation easier. The only fly in the ointment is that since reassembly, the airbag warning light now flashes! Probably have to get it hooked up to a code reader. Thanks again. 👍
Just check the connector to the air bag and reset with a code reader, Thanks for the great comments👍🏻👍🏻🛠
Thanks for the great information👍🏻👍🏻🛠
Had the same job in at work today this video made my life so much easier only thing i did differently was remove the clutch pedal from the bracket and removed in 2 pieces this made it slightly easier to access the bolts
Glad it helped, Thanks for the great comments👍🏻👍🏻🛠
Great video
I was looking at my aunties C1, I thought could it be a fuse, I checked every single one, I thought could it be a heat resistant transistor or a motor, before I got too far, I thought this looked tricky.
Thanks for the great information👍🏻👍🏻🛠
This video really helped me twice, I had to do the job a second time when the new fan failed after 6 months, still waiting for warranty claim to be settled. Really useful, honest work thru' . Thanks.

Just swapped my one today. Couldn't do it for a month as the weather was so bad on the weekend and was dark after work. I cycle to work so it wasn't much of a bother. The times I had to drive I got a wiper for the inside window haha. Thanks for the video my one was a LHD so alot less steps for me.
Well Done, Thanks for the great comments👍🏻👍🏻🛠
Thank you so much mate! We live in Sweden and our heater blower motor gave up. You literally saved us about 500 quid on just labour costs. Part was so cheap. So cheers!
Edit: and winter is creeping up on us day by day and this fix was necessary! Ours is a left hand drive so the part just came out without all the hassle 😀
Glad I could help, Thanks for the great comments👍🏻👍🏻🛠
Massive thank you, just today replaced my neighbours blower and resistor and it’s a pest to do when you have some good info never mind going in blind!
Ironically the clutch bracket bolts were easy to take off as the original blower gave access, the Valeo replacement was in the way during the refit!
Again many thanks, took me just shy of 4 hours with a tea break and swear fest 😀
Glad it helped Thanks for the great comments👍🏻👍🏻🛠
Can confirm that the left hand drive is way easier. Getting the motor back was a pain in the ass tho!
Cheers for the awesome video

Thanks for this great video. Having looked at your video and explenation it only took me 1 hour and 10 minutes to replace succesfully the fan. I have to say that I had a Aygo automaat . But having see how to remove the whole dashboard was great. These kind of video's are like following the head man climbing a unknown mountain. Once the dashboad was removed , it was clear where the fan was situated . Thanks!!!
You are fast!! Thanks for the great comments👍🏻👍🏻🛠
Great video, wish I thought to check into TH-cam before I did this job yesterday, every step you did was spot on and it took me 4 to 5 hours too
I'm going to add to your video some tips if anyone's reading and you basically mentioned them anyway
disconnect the key reader wire
be careful doing up speaker tappers with metal ratchets as it's easy to smack and break the screen
check the motor works before building everything up
cut down the heater box top with sidecuts to get motor in, only like 1mm needed
I disconnected clutch cable on gearbox for safety of my finger's
remember to connect up the passenger airbag or car needs a scan tool to remove airbag light on dash
I dropped all dash down to remove bottom left clutch box bolt with about 5. 1/4 inch extensions to left of steering wheel, you did it differently but I found it near impossible your way,but well done
the black box you undid on top of steering wheel is the central locking module not the immobilisor
enjoyed your video, take care,oh and getsome mechanics gloves😀👍👍
Great Job, Thanks for the great information👍🏻👍🏻🛠
Finally did this today, this video was a great help, it took me 5 hours, the hardest part was putting that ''stupid'' bracket back on that stops the clutch pedal in an accident, I also unplugged the flimsy transponder wire because I just know I would have snapped it because that's how I roll. If anyone wants to have a go at this, then this video is spot on!!!!! I can't find the bottom bolt off the right-hand side of the clutch pedal though, but like I said, that's how I roll.
Well done Thanks for the great comments👍🏻👍🏻🛠
I did this today, I got it down to 2 hours using your video biggest ball ache is getting that motor in
Thank you
well done you must be like billy whizz Thanks for the great comments👍🏻👍🏻🛠
Was that with disconnecting the clutch pedal too?
Many thanks for this video helped a lot in replacing the Blower motor. I went for a spurious copy part at £32.
Couple of things I noticed that might help others, before you fully engage the new motor in housing start the nut on the upper fixing stud I could not get it on with motor in place.
Also make sure you look carefully how the clutch pedal safety plate is fitted when you remove it and replace it before attaching the clutch cable to the pedal.
Suggest testing fan whilst dash is still out before putting it all back together.
Thanks for the great information👍🏻👍🏻🛠
Excellent, I could not have changed the motor without having been educated by this vidoe.
Well done!! Thanks for the great comments👍🏻👍🏻🛠
It was not easy with left hand drive either but eventually I got it together. Just keep pushing!
Great video man, always appreciated!

Just done my 107! Thanks for the video/help - it was better than a Haynes Manual could ever be! I hacksawed the back right off the heater and then easy to superglue back on. Made it easy getting the blower out and the new one in.
well done, that does seem to be the best hack, Thanks for the great comments👍🏻👍🏻🛠

Well done, great job, Thanks for the great comments👍🏻👍🏻🛠
I got to the point where I need to take those 2 clutch bracket bolts off, got the top one off with a spanner but don't have a socket set with all the bits you used. Great video though and happy that I managed to get everything else off up to this point with the video's help. Got a mechanic mate coming round to help me tomorrow :)
dam shame you couldn't finish the job, Thanks for the great comments👍🏻👍🏻🛠
This was a fantastic walkthrough! Managed to complete the job in around 4 hours. The only thing I can’t do is get that plate back on you took off around 24:00 in, hoping it’s not too important.

Glad it helped, Thanks for the great comments👍🏻👍🏻🛠
Happy to help, these cars are great to work on, Thanks for the great comments👍🏻👍🏻🛠
Brilliant video and commentary aaanton, Im probably starting tomorrow fitting after market locking and power windows to my wifes C1, I may not have to go so far as you on the dash strip down, however, you have shown how to gain lots of access for wiring and control boxes, well done mate.
Good luck, Thanks for the great comments👍🏻👍🏻🛠
Thanks ! You saved my bacon today. Garage refused to help (covid) . With tutorial job done in 5 minutes.
Glad it helped! Thanks for the great comments👍🏻👍🏻🛠
Thanks for the great information👍🏻👍🏻🛠
Just completed this job today on my daughter’s Citroen C1. Took me best part of 6 hours. On a rhd car you must take off the clutch pedal (4 bolts) but then you cannot remove it with the heater motor still in the way. My solution was to break up the old motor casing (plastic) and this made removal easy. I then removed the clutch pedal from the top (not that easy), cut back the sound insulation in the bulkhead and was able to drop the new motor in (honestly fairly easy). Putting the clutch pedal back, reconnecting the clutch cable and putting everything back all takes time.
Well done sounds like you had fun but you do get a great sense of achievement when you complete this job Thanks for the great information👍🏻👍🏻🛠
Thanks Anton, following your video helped me to replace the fan in our Aygo, it would have been so smooth and easy if only I hadn't forgotten to reconnect the central locking module under the dash DOH!

@@aaanton11 on my way to fix it now, hopefully it goes smooth😅 but as always when fixing on cars there is always struggle😮💨
Thanks for the great information👍🏻👍🏻🛠

You will need to remove more than the radio, Thanks for the great comments👍🏻👍🏻🛠
I've just done this in 2 hours
Once you remove dash top there's a control unit in front undo that and release wiring loom unscrew the black housing and move everything to the right.
Remove wiring from the old motor unscrew motor it's a tight fit but it will come out through the top.
Once out cut the bulkhead insulation not too much but your need to peel this back as your gain half an inch refit new motor done quite easy
Thanks for the great information👍🏻👍🏻🛠
Hi ant have you ever tried to remove the grey heather switch cover plate front, that sits under the radio as daughters light has blown and would like to fix it, i take that you would have to move the heater slides not sure what to call them one on each side of the grey front cover that you use to adjust settings for the blower apart from that not sure what to do next thanks.
I have not done this repair, but it one on the list to do and make a video stay tuned 😂Thanks for the great comments👍🏻👍🏻🛠

Maximum gratitude man. Took me 4 hours but would have been double without this. I had to move soundproofing to get enough room and still had to force it out and in. Thankfully no damage to the new (cheap copy) motor. If I have to do another one, I'm hacksawing that corner off the housing.
