#RexHeuermann faces charges in connection with the killings of several women whose bodies were found along a highway near Gilgo Beach. DNA taken from pizza crust linked the suspected Long Island Serial Killer to the murders.

@@allanrickard2117 we’ll see. With the data leak and early arrest they may be stuck with just the 3-4 victims. If he’s not out and about they can’t track his movements but also he can’t kill anyone else. Lots of double edged swords happening in this case.
@@wesb123If I remember correctly, the police task force that was snooping on him wanted to actually let him roam a bit more. But his wife was about to leave again and they knew he was talking to women, so they decided to arrest him because they thought he was going to kill again.
What would you gain from the trial?

it looks shocking doesn't it with the three loose bits of timber holding up the porch. he must have been desperate for cash as he was trying these phoney car accident lawsuits maybe his architect business was losing a tonne of money - cant be cheap to rent an office in New York.
Just sad plus the wife had food stamps which I feel may be the fact that her son is on disability. It's probably for him but still just ridiculous and sad for the family

I read somewhere yesterday that the city is planning on buying it. Because of the media attention and people driving by and the police presence it's disrupting the neighbors lives. I'd imagine if and when they Do buy it they will probably tear it down. Either way id imagine the family won't be staying there anymore, who would want to honestly

The 3 victims he is charged with and the 4th victim that he’s the prime suspect in the murder of, were not dismembered… they were bound by their feet, waist and heads with ducktape or belts, and 3 of them wrapped in camouflage burlap material, no dismemberment involved in any of those murders. Now, there are other remains of people that have been found around Gilgo beach that were dismembered but at this point in time the police have not charged, nor accused him of those murders, as that is a completely separate MO compared to the Gilgo 4 which all followed an extremely similar MO which involved strangulation and binding the bodies, but no dismemberment, knives or other weapons used.

Rex's wife looks like an abused woman who has lost all confidence in herself, I don't believe she was totally shocked at the news of the murders, when the police explained to her why he was arrested she excepted what she was told, she did not go into disbelief
Your information is wrong she was in disbelief at first . It’s why they showed her some of the evidence . Can’t just go putting information out there that isn’t true . After that the police commissioner said they were disgusted and embarrassed . Your narrative is made up in your head and not evidence based by using the facts .

They sure made a mess of the house. That amount of destruction in the dwelling is troubling. The family face cleaning up after the LEOs and that just does not seem right. I understand the effort to find evidence but what little I’ve seen is just heartbreaking for the innocent wife & children.
The cops said the house was already a mess prior to them going in, said they were pack rats. Hoarders normally don’t see it that way though. Also, it’s unfortunate for everyone, but the cops were doing their job. The victim’s families have waited way too long for this day.
At least the beast is now behind bars!
And the wife and kids can begin to heal.
I hope they can claim for a clean up and restoration of their backyard through their home insurance

What about his office? Everything that man has in his possession or reach should be investigated. What if there's girls right now being held up? You know these things have gone on for years and what if he is connected to the other murders and those three just happened to not be chopped up into pieces or what not. There's got the whole thing needs to be solved and in order to do that every single thing that man touches needs to be thoroughly inspected and examined and ruled out of the equation he could have shops set up somewhere. He could have a friend who's doing the other killings I personally don't feel like his house is where these things were done
I’m just having trouble feeling sorry for his family. Granted, they are in the middle of the situation BUT, they are alive and will be able to rebuild and move forward, whatever that looks like for them. That’s not the case for the victims. These women didn’t just die, they were dismembered and they left behind parents, sisters, brothers and children. They can’t rebuild or move forward. My sympathies are with the victims

Her website is now down, yet if what was shown on Twitter is really her artwork of tortured women, women with wounds, some abstract forms and what looks like a monster, including that picture, everyone saw of a woman’s face with black eyes, no matter what, it’s disturbing &, very coincidentally, strange.
What if her art work is a reflection of physical abuse and abuse her and her mother went through?Just a thought as I'm a survivor and former advocate who worked in Atlanta with child abuse and domestic violence.Might not be a coincidence at all.😢

I can't get enough of how EVERY TIME Matt Johnson mentions Rex Heuermann's "Blow Up Doll", he kind of smirks and he says; "What's that all about" like he doesn't know.
If you listen to the Howard Stern Show, they talk about this all the time. It's called the Real Doll. They are life size dolls made to simulate a man or a woman. They even had the person who created these dolls on. Matt, Vinny, Judge Ashley, Michael, Julie and Julia can play dumb all they want to, They know "What this is all about!"
You can see in the video from the house search that the doll is one of those old timey expensive porcelain dolls in an antique glass and wooden display case. The people spreading the blow up doll rumors are idiots.
What’s not being talked about is the dozen or so chunks of black fabric material removed from the giant hole in his back yard.

There is NOTHING unusual or tawdry about a porcelain doll THAT PEOPLE ARE COLLECTING! My grandmother had some of those and you see them all the time on Antiques Roadshow. As this story is progressing, Matt makes it seem like it’s creepy for a “Male” to have these. Men, Women and Children collect these. Now if these are some of those what I will call “Racially Insensitive” dolls that people collect, then, I can see him saying “What’s up with that” but then he should explain why he’s saying that instead of acting like an uncomfortable media person who doesn’t like to discuss this aspect of the doll and might be accused of being woke.
This is where I feel in his zeal to hype this entire sad story he misled and showed his bias when he quips; “What’s Up With That!”

Why on earth is Court TV out in front of their house "watching them"??? Leave them alone, esp that disabled boy. Shouldn't they have a victims advocate? Even someone who tried to drop off food was ticketed for stopping. I wouldn't be surprised if the mother commits suicide and takes her kids with her.
If I was his wife I'd go to her family in Iceland where her & the kids could have more privacy & maybe feel safe.
