- Nirvana is getting ready to perform. The band's manager tells Kurt what to do and he's not having it. Instead he decides to do everything but play. This is typically how band practice goes. Nobody gets along, they can't decide what to do, and then Dave Grohl decides to leave the band and start the Foo Fighters. Kurt Cobain is so upset over this that he decides to commit suicide.

If Kurt was able to kick heroin, leave Courtney, and have a fresh start he probably would have been ok. He had already started doing some solo stuff. Maybe doing something on his own rather than being stuck in the spotlight with Nirvana could have helped as well. Antidepressants definitely wouldn't have been a bad thing once he was clean and ready to make a change

james lacey thx. Besides knowing a couple hits, I really got into Nirvana when my friend gave me with the lights out box set for helping him clean out an apartment. Some guy left it there and it was given to me. That and I was just learning guitar at the time sealed the deal.
