- NS 4822 "PULLING THE WIEGHT OF THE WORLD" leads a 14,670 foot long train through the Wabash valley. One of the last Triple Crown Roadrailers lead by a unique locomotive. Filmed on 2024-07-03 Peru, Indiana
Pulling the weight of the world sounds about right given the size of today’s trains and freight cars. Beautiful locomotive. Stay safe.

NS has to pull the weight of the world--- they are short of power, after selling too many locos.
@@Joe-d7m6k yes and scrapping a bunch over the past few years
Its rare now a days to see double D9s, let alone one due to so many rebuilds taken place😢
@@MattTheUPRailfan2006 yes it is.
I've heard 4822 was formerly a D9 (9615) as well.
@@johndeerefan725 really I’m going to go back on some of my grain elevator videos I think I caught it a couple years ago pushing the train in.
I remember back then people were complaining about how there was too many NS dash 9s on trains lol
Nice video Tie.
@@NELSONRRVIDS thank you… I need to watch your video when you caught it in Muncie
Nice footage and paint scheme on GE unit and big general manifest!🛤🚂
@@ChainsawNW1218 thank you for watching
NS is so unique I love it!
I love 4822
That’s a long train 👍👍
@@Hinesfarm-Indiana yes it was
R.I.P. Triple Crown. 🙏
they ended up continuing triple crown trains on the layfette district appearently ford didn't want to loose them, they also expanded service over to the chicago line
and service must still be going because triple crown operations were supposed to cease on july first and if this train was shot after that than they have to be continuing
Awesome my friends excellent Like 👍🏻 and Greeting 🙋 😊
@@MarcelosalivaTRENESArg thank you so much for watching
Nice catch. Unfortunately I missed it this morning. It was running on a 38g Harrisburg East
@@BeeLineEast thank stinks… I caught 1066 NYC leading 123 this morning in Elwood Indiana.
@@therailroadtiespiker Nice yes I thought it would have went through in the wee hours of the morning. But I guess they fueled up at the Harrisburg Terminal
I missed it as well on 38G
@@TimsTrainsChaser wow is 38G a eastbound?
Wow what a special train N/S 30N is beautiful lead loco with its new paint scheme pulling one of the longest mixed manifests ive seen with double dpu! Fab catch Scott! What a brilliant video, do you know when the last ever triple crown will come through your way? ❤😊🤔👍
Like the video but was trying to count but the camera would switch and lost count next time you have a long train try not to use both camera so I'm able to count how many cars there are
@@ronaldbest8446 lol I was thinking about that after I put the video together I’ll be releasing a video where you can count the cars I also have a video that I filmed 15Q that was over 200 cars long I’ll be putting together with this one. Thank you for watching
You have NS 30N I have NS 30T almost kinda the same thing
@@danguilz-je8ch where does 30T run? 30N is a Decatur to Elkhart.
''pulling the wieght of the world'' feels like a name too big to say, i think we should rename it into something else
Nice catch. Do you think that traffic is increasing
@@RICKCOPE-q9d it actually has at least in the morning.
