Zone not really, if the seller canmot provide you means to cancel the service or respond to your claim PayPal has full right to reimburse you in your favor. It happened to me when I couldn't login to the swtor website because their email service is broken and the confirmation email never arrived, I tried a hundred times and this is a common problem with swtor, you cannot even contact their customer service without logging in. EA did not respond to my PayPal claim and PayPal not only canceled the subscription but also refunded the last two months of paid subscription for me. And EA never responded to any of that.
And if you cancel your PayPal subscription the seller (G2A, mmo sub...) will just automatically cancel it on their side as well as no payment has arrived. There is nothing illegal about this. It's the seller's fault i in the first place that he has not provided easier means to cancel it.
100% legal to go into paypal preapproved payments and cancel it. PayPal is not classified as a bank and it is 100% allowed. According to seller terms on PayPal it is mandatory for sellers to allow buyers cancel subscriptions.
in my case the shield option remained active for some months after I have cancelled it from the paypal account. Must've been a bug or something.

Want to know another funny thing? The email you get, you need to use it within 10 MINUTES that you receive it or you'll get an "invalid token" error. And you'll have to restart the entire deactivation process again.

i bought the crews dlc with g2a, no problem. i bought gta v, no problem. my friend bought overwatch, he got scammed.
im trying to say g2a is like opening some csgo cases, the odds of you getting what you really want is shit......just expect your money to go away if you buy from them.
not really, i've bought 14 games from them and not a single one was a scam. All you got to do to have REALLY high odds is see the sellers succesfull rate (100%-90% is good, less is bad)
And even if you get scammed, you can open a dispute on g2a and in most cases you get a replacement key or a refund.
And even if you don't want to open a dispute on G2A with their shitty customer service, you can always issue a chargeback.

Like many users i was scam by G2A. Only last month I discover they are taking 1.50€ every month from my bank account since January 2016! They say the first month is free(1 month trial) and they forgot to say after that "free month" they will take money from your account every month! And when you cancel that shit they scam you even more, you normally pay 1euro for the shield, after you cancel it, you start to pay 3 euros! Is not even worth it buy keys in the site anymore.

Dr Pantsu Nope! They don't say anything. After that trial end, they will start charging the "shield amount" every month. They never say anything about that in the first time you decide to try trial for 30 days. This is a scam, G2A purposely hide that!! They charge money without the costumer knowing. If you read across the internet, you will see loads of people complaining about the same thing. A "trial" like it says its a Trial! Its not a permanent contract!!! they clearly do that on propose!
you know for the amount of time it would take to do that (about an hour) I could just drive down into town to my bank. Mark the G2A subscription as fraudulent and cancel it. and be back home drinking tea before I could get it done manually.

It gets worse, I marked the days I could deactivate it in my agenda, tried it 5 days before, didnt work, 4 days before, didnt work, 2 days before, didnt work, 1 day didnt work and in the end it just got extended and they took my money.

Same. I've bought probably two dozen games from G2A over the last couple years and I've never had a bad key and have never used shield. In fact, you don't even need to have an account on G2A to purchase stuff which is one of the reasons I think I liked it to begin with. Just put in your e-mail address and pay and that's it.
Hermit never toke it. Only once. Cause i don't know. Never had money token.. Love g2a never got used keys. Not like allcdkeys jesus or something like that. Good after sale support but kinda shady (it not a ebay site its a real site with them selling the key, that was fuking cheaper then g2a with cod infinite warfare with mwr g2a 41euro, allcdkeys 34euro. Anyway i got a fukin picture of a key worked fine made me laugh if i see a picture of a key i straight think about stolen keys from shops) anyway my oncle bought from a site cause all keys on g2a where gone for cod and this site was a 42euro. Guess key used. Email tho them and opened a case on paypal, 2 days almost mail back they gave a new key.. Guess used... Also.. Ffs so he bought the infinite warfare solo. Then in total 4 days later again a keys who worked... But every time we got a code send we activated it like 1h later... Maybe they just sold the key already don't know but all i know g2a is my best bet

Well a dirtier little secret is that they functional as an offshore fence for stolen game keys that's a nuanced situation and not as nearly as black and white as throwing up a dozen roadblocks to prevent Shield subscribers from canceling their subscription.
RazingHel I've been thinking a lot about it and I think blaming g2a is totally pointless. The reason why this business exist is that banks don't give a shit about the security of their bank card system and keep selling broken payment system.
Those security flaws do not exist in Bitcoin for example and startups like Revolut actually solved the card fraud by allowing 4 layers of security like one button to disable e-commerce transaction or location based security.
As long as bank don't give a damn, there will be card fraud businesses all over Internet.

The flaw is in the system itself, there are many solutions to fix it but banks are just too lazy to updgrade their system.
I discover g2a recently, tried their services and I found them very professional for a "shady business" : a lot of payment solutions, fast customer help in many languages, much better gui than steam, ...
You have to realize that the scam from the banks is way worse than what g2a is doing :
1 - they give the customers an obsolete broken payment system
2 - they make the merchant pay high fees --> prices are getting higher to cover that
3 - you don't get a single tip about basic security so you eventually get your credit data stolen
4 - they allow you to charge back on demand (no reason asked) so the merchant lose its money --> prices are getting higher to cover that
5 - this is only getting worse every year because banks make money out of it by selling insurances to merchants

That is why I refuse to just hand over my credit card information to some random online services I just heard about, I gave them the Paypal link instead. Although I think G2A might have gone wise on it though; earlier that day I made several purchases with my Paypal at Steam and Humble Bundle which worked just fine but having huge issue with G2A for, which I can only assume issue on G2A's side (I've made multiple calls to both PayPal and my bank to check if the issue is on my end). Either way, with Paypal, with one quick call to Paypal support center, I was able to kill the account link in a few minutes hassle free. The whole ordeal gives me a very good idea on what Grey Market is like. High risk, high reward.

Huhhh... I bought a game a while ago, and the G2a shield was selected by default when I went to checkout but didn't notice it. It was only like a 2 dollar charge, so I figured fuck it I didn't want to deal with the hassle of asking for my $2 back. Did I accidentally subscribe for a montly recurring charge? Or was that shield a "just for this purchase" buy? I don't check my bank statement for every dollar that's been withdrawn, so this is kind of concerning. I don't think I even have a G2A account on their website, I just paid through paypal.

Wait, so I've purchased the shield only about twice, and that was the price that depended on the game. I don't actually have a g2a account as I'd rather just pay the 55 cents every purchase from PayPal. Was I buying one-time shields or was it a subscription I was buying even though every time I buy a game I usually choose not to have it active as it would cost more money.

NEVER buy the shield AT ALL. You don't need it. It's just an excuse for them to make more money. If you get a dodgy key, you are entitled to a refund regardless.

OK, I can't work out if I'm doing this right or wrong, but I love G2A. So far I've managed to get Overwatch, For Honor, Deus Ex Mankind Divided and Battlefield one for massively discounted prices without a problem. No reoccuring fees, no problems with customer service and no failed keys (besides Overwatch which I resolved in 20 mins with one of the reps. I got a new key.)
I'm already exhausted just by looking at it...

G2A takes even longer. I had G2a Shield on a purchase. Stupid code didn't work in my region like it was advertised. Had to wait weeks to give the seller a chance to reply to the ticket, which they never did, so right there the 5 minute money back promise is bullshit. Took almost a month to get my money back.
Paypay takes 10 days at most, probably even less if you give them a call and tell them about G2A.
What gets me is why G2A hasn't been sued or raided by the FBI yet for the bullshit they pull constantly.
KaZixt, yeah I did too. My point is the shield promise it bullshit. You pay extra for the security that if the key doesn't work, they'll get you a new one in 5 minutes.
When the key I bought didn't work, they open a ticket and wait 2 weeks for the seller to respond to it. 2 weeks is a lot longer than 5 minutes, and in my experience the seller doesn't respond because they've already ran off with the money and moved onto using another account.
So I got tired of it and called Paypal. Maybe it's because the person I spoke to had past experience with G2A customers or I got them on a good day, but I got my full refund in a day.

1. Not sure if it still does this, but sometimes G2A would subscribe you even without checking the G2A shield option during purchase.
2. The confirmation e-mail is only valid for up to *15 minutes*. If you don't click it in time, you have to do the whole process again.

i had to call support to cancel g2a shield, i had problem that it took them 20min to send cancel confirm to email, and it takes 10min to expire.
All for $1 a month
G2A does”nt want to lose your 1$ its 100 cents for crying out loud.
Well it is small price for a single user but if every human on world gave you 1$ Suddenly you have over 7 billion dollars :D
I've used G2A as a consumer for the past 6 months or so. I agree that the cancellation process for the free trial of G2A shield is ridiculous. (I clicked the green button a few times...) But once you're unsubscribed, the site is very good. I've purchased about 6 or 7 games with no issue whatsoever. Granted only about two were over $15, the rest were extremely discounted.
So I'd stay clear from the subscriptions, but I wouldn't worry buying from a rated seller.
Do you subscribe to g2a shield after buying it once or is it another option?
Every time i tried to cancel my subscription, it kept coming up witha message saying your cancellation has expired please redo the cancellation process, this was after the 20 minute email wait. After 4 failed attempts at cancelling i went to the bank and got them to block transactions.

I think they could've topped it by switching the button-design for the cancellation and leaving shield active for the last screen
g2a just wants to help the consumer out! g2a understands that the consumer cant help, but get tricked, bamboozled, and even scammed more often than not. G2A knows that this maddening issue keeps reoccurring over, and over again, on g2a's astonishingly, business-to-customer-friendly, awe inspiting, website...
However, regarding to the greedy people who just want to take the consumer's hard earned money G2A has the solution :)

once I bought something from G2A and I accidently closed the window I had g2a shield they said they couldn't help me because I didn't have an account when I bought it. The thing that saved me was going to the page through my history.
Imagine someone accidentally clicking on the Leave g2a shield active after the whole process on the last confirmation screen
