Not to minimize the noise concerns being expressed by Xiaohongshu commentators, but I think that the noise concerns will go away over time as the technology improves and the utility of drones/helicopters outweighs their downsides. Most people living in urban areas have had to put up with noise and smoke from ICE cars, and we're so accustomed to ICE cars' auditory pollution that 'silent' EVs need to have a noise mode to alert pedestrians of their presence.

i really dont get the hype behind thinking flying drones as flying cars. A flying drone is a modified HELICOPTER, which has been around for the past 70 years. When a car that drives on the road when on land and can fly in the sky while in the sky, thats a FLYING CAR.
All these ideas are cool and futuristic, but they still suffer from the same problems as EVs: long charge times, short use times, and expensive battery replacement. You can't build future tech with 20th-century battery tech. Big breakthroughs in battery technology are needed for this to truly succeed.
Cost and safety are always issues of concern to everyone. If a city is filled with such low-altitude aircraft, the corresponding laws and regulations should be sound. But as an exploration and experiment, it is worth affirming.
Comments from deleted account in Xiaohongshu should not represent anything here. These account always spread ridiculous comments but without any proposal. It is totally wasting our time.
To me, it's a big drone or helicopter, not a flying car. I don't think I'll be allowed to park anywhere with that. If I were a millionaire or a billionaire, I'd invest my money in research and development to figure out how to create real levitation systems and new types of energy to power my flying cars.
In the future, manned drones flying in China will be controlled by a big data system for automatic flight. Once the destination is set, the system will arrange the flight path and flight time of all aircraft to avoid air traffic accidents.
With the advancement of AI, drones are poised to become an essential part of how our world benefits from these groundbreaking technologies. They will enable capabilities that were previously unattainable, unlocking new possibilities when these innovations are implemented on a global scale. This transformation will herald a new era for humanity, marking a significant milestone in the history of humankind.
Early flying cars are already priced at $300,000, about the same as early electric cars when they first came out. Now, mass-produced electric cars in China can cost as little as $10,000. Imagine you had to comply with all this before getting in your car and going to the shop.
China is so far ahead of the rest of the world. Like with EVs today, in the near future these devices will be exported all over the world. Note however the comments from the Peking University professor, that one of the goals is to remove imported chips.
