This is a sharp reminder for materialistic people who may have unrealistic expectations for how much happiness material goods will bring them ... When these expectations aren't met, they may continue to pursue more material goods in an attempt to find happiness. 🤷
All of that is fine on the surface, but are the people really content living rural lives. I'm not clamouring for extreme urbanisation, but surely extreme ruralisation is also undesirable. Is this way of living really what the people want, or is it something forced upon them so that the status quo remains unchanged?
No one loves living rural lives after getting exposed to urban and modern lifestyle. People can get super happy for a couple of week of rural life but will get bored and depressed soon. Nepalese people are way happier than Bhutanese because they live, study and work in cities for most of the year and spend few weeks at villages in the mountains during festival seasons where they get rest from busy life and enjoy traditional cultural lifestyle with families and ethnic roots. Perfect balance of freedom, cultural roots and modern lifestyle
They keep them happy by keeping the population at large blissfully ignorant and naive. That’s all. It works for some, but not for all individuals. A lot individual talent are wasted.
As a person who lived in both urban and rural areas. You feel dissatisfied in both places.. maybe it's in human nature. Like when I live in a city I just feel like giving up everything and live a simple rural life but after two weeks living in a village I just want to go back to the city 😂
people are more depressed than they ever have been despite today's conveniences. Perhaps the old slow ways of living do actually foster more happiness.
Qatar has 800k ethnic |ndians from |ndia, which is a substantial 30% out of their total population of 2.8 million. Tibet would be nothing but sadness if it’s not part of China. Tibet was not ruled by kings and royalties like Bhutan, it was ruled but Lamaist class that owned slaves and lands before China’s central government forced them to discontinue that. I am sure Tibetan slaves weren’t so happy under that kind of ruling, regardless how you romanticize that. As a Bhutanese, I barely came across any cheesy foods in a restaurant lol
Bhutan is not only about cheese and chilli. sometime i get bored with such content
BRUH...these are the most authentic foods. There are many more. Even I am lactose intolerance...
Not necessary that you have to eat only this...whole life 🤧
I'm from India and I would love to travel and explore Bhutan, specially the glaciers, lakes, environment conservation, and food culture.
I am also intolerant to dairy but I hope it wouldn't be a problem, as I don't like meat either, particularly red meat, and pork.
I don’t think she liked the food very much as she never said she did. It’s usual to make a positive remark on taste when in front of the chef.
This is a sharp reminder for materialistic people who may have unrealistic expectations for how much happiness material goods will bring them ... When these expectations aren't met, they may continue to pursue more material goods in an attempt to find happiness. 🤷
You made an excellent point.
Long live people of Bhutan!
The key is keeping the country pure and simple.
Thanks for the comments
Looks delicious!!
They do have cities in Bhutan.
Most important food , saturated fats !!! not like western media pushing people in to veg oil which is highly inflammatory
Bhutan produces some of the tastiest beef in the world. As an Indian, I have a great love for Bhutan and its delicious beef.

Qatar has 800k ethnic |ndians from |ndia, which is a substantial 30% out of their total population of 2.8 million. The question is, how did an originally Arab Muslim country like Qatar, managed to have so many |ndian immigrants from |ndia? The |ndian debt trap? Cheap labor for your country's sovereignity and citizenship? 50 or more years down the road, you will see an ethnicity dilution and the 30% may become 50%? This is the expansionism policy Akand Bharat.
Best Indian policies....
I don't see any Qataris protesting against Indians. But just look at Europe, so many protesting against Arab immigrants.
@@udith Just because you did not see it, it does not mean it did not happened.
@@udith "american rant indian poland" 🤣Cope. I support the American man.
Bhutan 🇧🇹 is a model for the World 🙏
They aren’t the happiest country, what utter nonsense! They are just the only country to prioritise a happiness index over GDP, but they aren’t succeeding in improving either. They also boast the highest average work hours of any country in the world.

Bhutan is a very interesting and fascinating country.
What people in Tibet EAT ???
Excellent
Tibet could have been a happy country too hadn’t it not for China who invaded Tibet and decimated the Tibetan culture forever..
I feel you❤ Bhutanese and Tibetan culture are quite similar and we love it. We still pray for the sovereignty for Tibet!
Utter gibberish! Tibetan language and culture is thriving in China. The only ones who have abandoned their own culture are the so called Tibetan "refugees". Before the Chinese revolution, Tibetans lived like literal slaves under the lamas. Know history before talking crab
Nagaland Southern Tibet Assam could have been happier places if not for invasion by the neighbors
Please do not compare Bhutan with Tibet as the two are very different in circumstances and history.
By the way, China did not invade Tibet, repeat a lie thousand times still does not make it true. 😅
Simple living, value happiness, value life and I want this kind of life!
Hmmm lactose intolerance doesn’t apply to people in this country. 😂
Yes with no processed low quality food , our intestines are blessed with freshest of veggies to butter to cheese .. not weak intestines like in the west
@@Idontcare-hi9kq Why pick on the west? Most people in the world are lactose intolerant. And heart disease is your leading cause of death so your stronger intestines mean nothing.
Very interesting 😊
The only capital with no traffic light? I thought it was north korea.
“North Korea” isn’t a capital bro 😂
North Korea has traffic lights
I would love to travel here at least once in my lifetime... ❤ 🇧🇹 🇧🇹 🇧🇹
