The bug with the APEX Network View pane is because sometimes it's "pinned" with that yellow pin icon on panes (next to that blue circle icon). If it's not updating, you can unpin it to follow the last selected node.
Why would anyone use this seemingly lame DCC when Maya and Blender look way better to work on. Only procedural stuff and VFX would make this software relevant... I hate node based anything
fir the group selection tags, simply go point selection mode , expand group selection and select by name attribute, done. hope it will make your life easier
