5:47 That CGI in this scene is almost perfect. The photorealism is actually scary. How this simple, cheesy, monster movie prequel ends up looking better than 99% of movies is astounding.
Looking back at the visual effects for Kong: Skull Island, it's interesting to see how well they old up till to this day, and how much the Wingard directed movies feel a lot less refined than this one. A key aspect is surely the details and photography, how every detail of Kong's skin, fur and texture makes him look incredibly big and imposing, even if in the movie is "just" 30 meters tall.

I really love how this is a more universal design for Kong (pun not intended). He’s very gorilla like in his face and proportions, but amplified with human qualities in very minuet details.

The Monsterverse Kong has become my favorite version of Kong. The people who've brought him to life have done a fantastic job!

This film was definitely one of the best of all the Kong movies. It really felt like a 70's movie
