Jean-Philippe Rameau, composer Jory Vinikour, harpsichord French double harpsichord by Cucchiara and Pierce Recorded April 13, 2011 in Shaker Heights, Ohio USA
@@jvinikour blush not, your eminence! It is extraordinary to hear! I hope enough of us out here thank you for what you do, knowing how much work it takes!
Poetic, profound, memorable. One is reminded what a great composer and harpsichordist Rameau was when his music is played by an electrifying virtuoso blessed with the sensitivity of Jory Vinikour. Absolutely breathtaking. Thank you for posting.
This is a Ramellian tour de force, exhibiting so many of the techniques needed to make the harpsichord sing. The instrument is beautiful, especially considering its vintage. Sometimes we forget that the makers of forty years ago, while lacking the details of knowledge to which we are privy, nevertheless were able to produce magnificent instruments that rival the best ones of today. Bravo, Jory!
A privilege to be in the same room with Jory's Olympian "Muses" - sumptuous.
Oh, Yves!!! I am blushing. Thank you!

Very, very nice...excellent playing, great ornamentation, good choices. I personally love Rameau’s Clavecin music.
One of my favorite pieces. Bravo!
Hi! I think that "The gathering of the muses" is not inaccurate. But, perhaps, "Conversation of the muses" is better?
I love this piece. One of the more simple in Rameau literature, but astoundingly beautiful nonetheless.
Sublime. I love listening to gorgeous music, but when it's made by a FRIEND, it's a treasure. Bravo, mon ami!
