Why do people care so much about the dislikes?
Social media medals are worth nothing, if they did, Justin Bieber would have a better place in history than Mozart and Henry Purcell.

Out of all the interpretations I have heard, this piece moves me the most. You have such precision, it emphasizes the crisp nature of the harpsichord and every time I hear and watch this piece you play it leaves me in awe. I usually have to play it over again a few times just to really take in the artistry. Thankyou for having this here. You are fantastic.

There will always be dislikes on TH-cam videos. I'm a fan of many things: ice hockey, baroque music, organs, harpsichords, animals, etc. and I've watched videos on all these subjects and I've found that no matter how wonderful I and many others think each respective video is, there will always be at least several people who will hit the "dislike" button. I for one think this work is outstanding and you, Mr. Vinikour look so natural at that instrument as you play. I think your interpretations are awesome.

It really is as much fun to play as it is to listen to.

Oh, those relentless Scythians! The music conveys the terror, but with a few mysterious happy notes. Masterfully played, of course.

@ElricWilliam Thank you for your very kind remarks! Of course, I do not worry about the "dislikes" but I much prefer nice remarks like yours!

JORY! This is mindblowing playing of of one of the great bits of explosive fireworks in the hpd literature - heard it played as encores a few times (a real crowd pleaser!) but your rendition is like a salvo of the 16" guns from the battleship "Missouri"!!!!! Or better yet, a visual fantasy of an 18th century French ship of the line wearing ship with gunports opening, and all the 32 and 24 pounders being run out to fire a broadside salvo at some "naughty English"! yes, the height of French folgerol!!!!!!!!!!! So fantastically played. 200 Octane!

One is not a fool for disliking something, but I do agree that they are missing out on the appreciation of the piece.

4 people do not appreciate this wonderful piece. Meanwhile, I sit here and listen to what they are missing out on, a very intricate piece done by an amazing harpsichord player...fools xD

Keys of the lower keyboard also activate the upper ones, as you can see on the video. Each set of keys correspond to a set of strings, so hitting a key on the lower keyboard actually pinches two strings, whereas hitting a key of the upper keyboard pinches only one string, hence the difference in volume (as you can notice at 3:30, and then at 4:10 when going back to the lower keyboard).
Great playing, Master Vinikour. I like to play this piece slower than you, but that's a matter of taste. :)

The only reserve I have with this interpretation is that from 1:30 to 2:10 the music sounds a little flat, while in my view the arpeggois should sound like dragging the listener into ocean waves. Overall nice performance!

The percision, crisp, other kind of beauty comparing to skip sempe's version. No so called 'perfect' interpretation, but a variety of style

Please write down how each string sounds separately. Open these .wav files for free access. To home any person on the computer to play on the MIDI keyboard with such an excellent sound. To record each string separately for 10 seconds will result in approximately 10 minutes of personal time spent. I take care of the rest of the sound processing. You just need to find a good microphone and a computer for recording and that's it. Send me a file in which the sound of individual strings I cut into separate files and process the equalizers and as a result a ready-made digital musical instrument.
