People accuse Labour of being 'Tory Lite'. Whereas they have moved further to the right with some policies, they are nothing like the Tories.
You would never hear a black or Asian Tory make a speech like that. A speech where they highlight their blackness and acknowledge the evils of colonialism & slavery. In fact, they go out of their way to distance themselves from it. In some cases, they praise colonialism. And they do it because they know that is what will please their base.

Before the invasion to the Ukraine Nigel Farage told the following: "What can Putin do? NATO and the EU have expanded." As soon as Ukraine signs up not to join NATO and the EU Russia will withdraw its troops."
I'm not British but the whole time I was wondering that British media did not react on this nonsense, as if the EU is attacking Russia. By the way, Russia could apply to become an EU member. NATO? It's not the fault of the West that the Warzaw Pact came to an end.
Farage later said he had been misunderstood, his real enemy is China.
Mind that Farage, Tice, GB News, talk TV hardly report anything essential about the war in Ukraine. It's easier to blame migration. However, the bombing of Aleppo by the Russians made people leave Syria.

The Israel and Palestine situation is infinitely more complicated and anyone that says it isn't or that they can sum it up in a conversation or comment is absolutely underestimating the complexity of the situation. The Russia and Ukraine situation is very very simple. Very easy to understand. Ukraine, minding their own business gets invaded twice, second time the world says, 'no you don't Russia, Ukraine will just be the start so we support Ukraine and the idea of not invading other countries'. There is nothing else that has any weight to it about this situation except make beleive and propagand from thePutin perspective. Israel and Palestine however cannot be summed up in a comment like that. You try on here you wait to see how complicated it gets. Just go to the wikipedia page for any single idea around the middle east and you will see that it is hard to find a beginning and it is all stories within stories within blame within blame within decade upone decade over a couple fo millenia, national identity, religion, regional identity, shadowy backers, multiple agendas playing out across the world, the Palestinians being used as porns by the arab world etc etc etc. You are likely tempted to choose one thing I have said here and make it more complicated, because it is for that situation. It cannot be summed up in a speech at a conference like the Russia/Ukraine situation just was. There are a lot of people that are simple minded that want to describe and see the world in more simple terms because that is how they understand the world. Unfortunately it is not that straight forward unless you sit behind a keyboard and move freely from one issue to the next without any depth. It is all the media is now. shallow make believe and speculation without any respect for the complexity and time it takes to truly get into what is happening.

You clearly know zilch about Monsieur Lammy. There is more grey matter in 30 Newton concrete lintel. For a trained lawyer, he has poor grasp of anything. His media performances have ridiculed. It’s easy to read a script and he can’t even do the well.
