    Not the most sensible thing, massive motor/esc from the onset. But, anyone that hasn't done this with a new rig is either boring or a liar. Great demo of the strength in the Bomber out of the factory and any weak links to look out for. I wouldn't sweat anyone wingeing about that in a "budget" build in this format. Everyone runs into something cool at least once that BARELY fits within their budget that just has to go in a rig. BEST TIP EVER: Eff the flex, ditch the bind.

    I bought my RR10 before they released them and waited until the ship date. Found your channel shortly after the purchase and been hoping to see some bomber action. I will be watching this for sure.

    Oh snap! Here we go! Thanks to you I have the yeti, yeti score, and SCX10 just in the last 2 months. Looks like it's the RR 10 next. Thanks sincerely harley.

    Looking forward to the build. Contemplating replacing my Wraith with a Bomber, this video series is helping to nudge me in that direction.

    Thank you for starting this series! Really looking forward to your Bbuild. :) The stock is great out of the box and blows my Wraith straight away. There are additional free mods that can be done on the Bomber to decrease the torque twist. I reckon those will come in later on the series when you show the "save up" part for the next episode slapping some nasty diffs! :) I do hope the series wont stop with the tubes. More power to you and your channel!

    Very curious to see what direction you decide to take this budget build as opposed to your others....the Poison Spider Wraith being my favorite of the series, since I also bought the PS Wraith around the same time and actually followed along most of the weeks. Any electronics suggestions for a yeti 380 kit build? Got everything vanquish has to offer, AR60 V2 complete rear axle, Currie sway bar, MIP d shafts, VP steering, VP VVDs AND all of the axial anodized AL upgrade parts with the beautiful VP Method 105s in ORANGE! Thanks man! You explain everything very clearly in your vids and IMO are the most educated RC TH-camr by far!

    Should I keep the stock bomber sway bar or the vanquish Currie? The Currie one just looks so nice but not if it’s going to rub? I o ow it’s for the yeti. Does it effect performance if I get the vanquish?

    • @HarleyDesignsInc
      @HarleyDesignsInc  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Performance will be similar. The VP one just has a more scale style. If using on a Bomber you'll need to use a 25mm M4 set screw between the rod ends instead of the included stainless link.

    I'm looking to get my first crawler and I can't decide between the wraith or the bomber what would you guys pick for a fun back yard crawler and maybe some big beach rocks?

    • @HarleyDesignsInc
      @HarleyDesignsInc  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Buster Brown pure crawling? Hmmm the Wraith may be easier to tune in that instance.

      +Harley Designs thanks for the reply I rely liked the wraith build and will be watching this every week for sure. Not just pure crawling there is a lot of nice hiking trails around my town that would be fun to run on.

    I'm catching this for the first time.... Looks like it will be a good series, especially since I'm a retired Veteran with a tiny budget! 😢 😲
    *End Flex Fridays!!!* Brother, I'm all for that! 😁😂
    I'm building a Rig as I write. Believe me - it's cheap. I was thinking about going Brushless, if I can score one cheap enough..... I'm thinking 2050kv or 2250kv...... what's your thoughts on that?

    What are the length of the links your using for the sway bar?

    • @HarleyDesignsInc
      @HarleyDesignsInc  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Cody Williams I'm using the Yeti links right now. On a Currie version though, two revo Rod ends with a 4mm set screw between them works great.

    I'm going to guess universals on week two. That was the first part to go on mine. I've been running the roc412 on 3s and the driveline has been holding up great. Question for you, I know you like big power and I've seen a lot of guys going with the puller xl and even a monster x setup. Why are you sticking with tekin? Or was this just what you had on hand? I'm asking because My yeti has the pro4 hd, and I'm thinking of upgrading it

  • @tydime58

    Hello everyone. what is the advantage of the sway bar over the wraith rear suspension? Thanks!

    • @HarleyDesignsInc
      @HarleyDesignsInc  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Ty sway bar can be added to a wraith too. But if you actually mean trailing arm? Then it's because you can get more travel with a shorter shock and still retain appropriate tuning options. It does mean that a sway bar is also needed in most cases.

    • @tydime58
      @tydime58 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Harley Designs Thanks for the help! so I did a bit or reading and you can get a trailing arm suspension for the Wraith, from what I understand I lowers the vehicle a bit. With your experience, is this something that you would think is a good idea? Thanks.

    Which electric screwdriver are you using/recommend?

    • @HarleyDesignsInc
      @HarleyDesignsInc  8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      +Matt Gericke I just had a discussion about this on my Facebook actually. I LOVE my old Ryobi 4v 4Tek driver with adjustable clutch. However they removed the clutch from the new version. So now I bought a 2 pack of these Genesis drivers from Amazon for $50. They are 7.4v drivers with clutch and 2 speed. They don't have a removable battery like my Ryobi had though which bums me out. But now I do have 3 drivers so that I can have one set up for each popular size.
