    I went to metal steering links and blew my servo the same day... You are right about keeping the plastic steering links on until you are ready to shell out the cash for a new servo... Wasn't looking to spend $150 for a servo and BEC just yet.

    Sweet, I live in Auburn. I will have to come out to the fairgrounds and see the insanity. I'll be at Cisco Grove as well. Hope to meet you at an event. Cheers!

    I got these for my bomber and I noticed there is a lot of slop in the pivot balls when they go into the axle mount and the skid plate. Almost as if they’re not wide enough. Is this normal?

      @@HarleyDesignsInc were you still using the stock gear ratio? If not, what did you ultimately land with spur pinion?

    Woulda been cool to make the intake a blower looking type

    If I decide on titanium links for my Bomber, which ones would I need to order? And thanks so much for this budget build! It's great and provides a ton of help and ideas.

      +mzvelo74 I don't have a kit done for everything you need on the VP side yet but I need to get that done ASAP. I'll try and get that done next week!

    With the installation of the steering linkage, how's the clearance on the inside of the rim?
    On stock plastic rims It's probably fine but on aftermarket rims with a bead lock ring on the inside I needed to space out rim quite far to clear the top mounted tie rod.
    So if you wan't to keep you're track-width within limits you should stay with glue-on rims or make sure your rims have a internal locking system. (method style)

    • @HarleyDesignsInc
      @HarleyDesignsInc  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +wboer boer yes the stock rims clear fine. And yes as a bonus our wheels also have improved clearance also.

    what tools are you using? I am trying to do my links at the moment but can't reach the front lower link set screws

  • @DenisLM
    @DenisLM 8 ปีที่แล้ว

    What about the slop in because the revo ball ends are smaller than the axial plastic ends? Specially in center plate, a lot of wiggle there. Shims? I didn't see you using anything.

    • @HarleyDesignsInc
      @HarleyDesignsInc  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Denis Monteiro I don't often use shims there either. I know exactly what you're talking about though. May have an easy solution for that down the road.

    • @DenisLM
      @DenisLM 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Harley Designs nice that you are aware. I worked around in the axle side tighten more the screws, and I'm thinking about use Axial ball ends in the chassis side... If possible share your easy solution plan!
