I immediately noticed they were wrong, but hadn't yet figured out what exactly was wrong, for instance, if they were just offset. Being for a totally different video makes sense.
That turned out incredible! I absolutely looove that blue color on the walls. It feels like a very serene office space! A little tip I can give you from what I've learned in school (For becoming a painter) is that painted walls tend to darken (from dust etc.) over time. To fix patches that may have been caused by removing nails we mixed a tiny drop of ochre into the original color, painted it on a small piece of paper, dried it with a heat gun ( Not too close and a low setting of course! ), let it cool and then hold it up to the wall to see if it matches. If not rinse and repeat until it fits and then paint over the actual patches.
was looking for this comment, just washing your walls can lighten up just a bit. but id peel off a piece of paint from the affected area and take that to home depot to color match instead of going with og color unless its painted less than 1-3 years ago

This video is a true masterpiece. Not only is the make over extremely satisfying (I mean, hello? All that space you now have behind your desk? The sleek no-visible-cables-look you got going? The cute little details and decorations?), it was also absolutely hilarious (the editing is amazing). But most importantly it's so good to see you two as a couple thriving, supporting each other, even if things don't always work out and never cease to make each other laugh.
That's hilarious. We recently did the same late post move tidying. I had "The corner of shame" in the background of my stream where stuff we hadn't unpacked had been piled up in the background of my stream since October. I ended up replacing the pile with my rolling/folding workbench & my robot army. Then I got the skinny tall bathroom version of that metal shelf to live behind an end table for the exact same reason. I display prints, projects, & toys on there & it doubles as an attachment point to keep all the 3D printer cables tidy & out of sight. And just like you guys we liked that solution so much that my wife ended up buying 2 more full sized ones to tidy up her space. Those shelves are seriously great for that!
I swear I just love you guys so much. You’re both so natural in front of the camera and I really feel like I get to see your true selves. I don’t watch very many “couple” TH-camrs because there isn’t a naturalness to their chemistry on camera. Anyways! The room looks soooo much bigger and looks fantastic! I high-key need to do this in every room of my house, I think this weekend might finally be the time to make a start on that. No major structural changes, just a de-clutter, put them things in their places to put things, replace my broken guest bed and get a few little problems fixed up. Been putting it off since the start of Covid and now own more things than my house can handle, so it's gonna be a painful process. Bleh.
At one point I went through my house room by room, drawer by drawer, and cleared everything out. I did this a couple of hours at a time after work each day, so it took a couple of months but it was so worth it.
Well I made a start, one small area of bedroom floor cleared and one trash bag filled. I work from my bedroom so 90% of my time is in this one room and I haven't had space to move for months, already feels so much better. Even just picking up all the things that have a place to go, but have somehow found their way into a floor heap, will be a good start 😬

I would love to see your storage solutions for all of the floor storage. Knowing you had a white filing system before in your guest room, would you reuse that or go and DIY something to meet your needs? Would you hang the cables? What about camera equipment storage? Will you have a room JUST for storage, and if so, will it be tech and craft storage or storing the still elusive 3d printers? I'm so curious. I do love all of your revamping room videos. You both have a great eye for design, one more focused on physical design the other focused on pleasing aesthetics, and you both come together to make really lovely rooms. ❤
omigoshhh the change was really incredible! The amount of cables at the start was so stressful just at a brief glimpse, I can totally see how actually being physically present in the streaming room could cause anxiety
I’m honestly amazed with the few adjustments how much brighter and aesthetic it looks with all those cables, looks so good!!! I love how the decal gives the desk and stand its own space for all the monitors, and bouncing the light off like that with the mounted lights is genius I recently got an arm stand for both my monitors and have a vertical stand for my laptop so I can keep it closed and it made such a difference, I haven’t figured out cable management yet cause a few ones I’ve tried just didn’t work out, and kept getting exposed I can only imagine how long it took to get this set up with all the stands and computers and cables oh my I can’t fathom how you keep everything you film stored and easy to access to edit and upload especially with different software These makeover project videos are always my favorite!

I love how the decal gives the desk and stand its own space for all the monitors, and bouncing the light off like that with the mounted lights is genius
I recently got an arm stand for both my monitors and have a vertical stand for my laptop so I can keep it closed and it made such a difference, I haven’t figured out cable management yet cause a few ones I’ve tried just didn’t work out, and kept getting exposed
I can only imagine how long it took to get this set up with all the stands and computers and cables oh my
I can’t fathom how you keep everything you film stored and easy to access to edit and upload especially with different software
