So you where supposed to go to frozen core next. Mindustry will let you go to levels that are way to hard for you, if you really want to, but typically you should go to named sectors.
@@RealCivilEngineerGaming this game isn't kind to new players. the problem is that they don't tell you where the drop zone is. also you should focus on defending/defeating the enemy before building up your base/collecting resources. (besides the basic ones like copper and maybe lead).
Tip for playing(I've played this one alot) adding routers to your conveyor scatter guns will allow a single conveyor belt to feed them, also anything you're currently building will be instantly destroyed if it gets shot by the invaders. One final tip (don't want to give too much away😊) is that you can replace lower tier walls with upgraded ones without removing them, just select your upgraded wall and select the location of the corresponding size.

First time watching this channel, would definitely watch an ep 2. Can't stop now anyway, the fun is just getting started. Haven't even gotten to theory crafting your schematics for optimum efficiency or had a thorium generator meltdown.
This is probably going to be drowned out, but there's a few things that are helpful to know about the game 1. Enemies will always choose the quickest path and the one with the least walls 2. Turrets can use different types of ammo and they give different buffs like more damage 3. In the first few sectors you can literally just drag a line of routers with turrets next to it and walls but this will be very inneficient and shouldnt be used later on. 4. The recourses in the research tree are combined from all sectors and are spent (sectors also generate resources while you are in other sectors) 5. It's pretty helpful checking the ratio of how many recourse a factory takes and how much your belts can transport for peak efficiency 6. Instead of building little coal generators everywhere, make one coal node your power production with batteries and supply the rest of the map via power nodes. Later on theres also some better power generators 7. You don't have to manually replace everything that has been destroyed, there is a tool where you can just drag and click and it will rebuild destroyed buildings. you can activate it by holding "B" (PC) or using copy+paste and then selecting the repair tool (Mobile) (If anyone knows more tips, tell me)

Seven tips: 1. Yes, resource ores are indeed infinite. 2. As other commenters have pointed out, you can hold down... I think it was B. You can hold B and drag a box to automatically queue up rebuilding destroyed buildings. You can also hold F iirc to drag a box around something you've created and save it as a *Schematic.* You'll find these very useful later. 3. The main sectors (such as Frozen Forest) can be launched to from anywhere, you don't have to manually make your way through the numbered sectors to get to them. Note that the numbered sectors can get really hard, really fast if you aren't careful. Focus on the named sectors first, as that's what most of your Research will be locked behind other than resources. 4. The Graphite Smelter converts Coal into Graphite at no power cost. You can use this for more advanced buildings and units, along with better turret ammo. Perhaps most notably, you can use it for the Pneumatic Drill, a drill that's just a solid all-around upgrade to the Mechanical Drill and takes up no extra space, drilling faster and capable of mining better resources. You can place these directly over your Mechanical Drills to upgrade them, you don't need to deconstruct them first. 5. Once you have access to the Pneumatic Drill, you can use it to mine Titanium. This is also used for a number of advanced buildings and units, but its best use in my opinion is the Titanium Conveyor, a conveyor belt that transports items at 2.75x the speed of a normal one. Very useful. Like with Pneumatic Drills, you can place these directly on top of your normal Conveyors to upgrade them without needing to deconstruct them first. 6. On Ground Zero, you built a bridge over your conveyors and did a Bridge Review. This was unnecessary. You do not need to bridge over conveyors, a simple Junction will do. Additionally, if you simply just drag a line of conveyors, the game will do whatever it can to get through any obstacles (including your buildings and other conveyors) without leaving the line you're dragging, be it by placing Junctions or Bridge Conveyors. Those Bridge Conveyors can also bridge over up to three tiles of natural terrain if you haven't already figured that out. 7. Be mindful of your resources when building defenses. Turrets tend to be expensive and use up a lot of resources very quickly when you're building them.

Ive played a lot of mindustry in the past! Its SUPER fun, im glad you finally gave it a go! It may seem overwhelming at first but when you start getting into the pace of it its a really cool game especially with how creative you can get with it in terms of how you want to build and such.
For the enemies to not go around, you can make a tunnel in your defenses where enemies MUST go, and since it's an open route, their stupid ai will go there. But be sure to block the other routes with a few blocks
it's quite lovely how a new player tries mindustry xD you got even lucky with picking the one sector next to the base who isn't hard difficult quite even lucky as silicon is reserved for the 3rd named sector now some basic tips: spacebar is usual to pause, that helps to look around as the time doesn't run away it is usual enough to just 1 big wall against the spawn, if the spawn has multiple ways, then make one way your defense way with your turrets and the rest with multiple thicc walls of the big ones, important is, that the second ways take longer to go specially later if you get better generator it is the best to make a dedicated energy area as later one you even need special material for it, like water or pyrite it is worth checking your turrets what for material you can give as it makes a difference if you use graphit instead of copper for yoru duos about produktion - try to make various factories next to each other, like multiple graphit presses next to each other so you can use up more of the ressources
YES!!! thank you for giving in to peer pressure haha this is my favorite game! Im like one of 3 people who stream this game on twitch so im glad its getting attention from a larger audience!!
Important tip: Press b and drag a square to paint destroyed structures for automatic rebuilding, it saves you loads of time. You can even do that to rebuild defenses when trying to retake a lost sector, but it is good to use pause and go through the design because obviously that one didn't work so you want to delete stuff like turrets that were in the wrong place so your units don't get stuck rebuilding them instead of finishing your new defenses. For example, you might bring in titanium from another sector to build a scrap recycling operation that will give you titanium and thorium when those cannot be mined on that sector, but the old infrastructure you rebuild used titanium conveyors so after rebuilding them you are out of titanium.
Love to see this game on the channel! Also, I think RCE might be the only person ever to make "decent!" sound as enthusiastic as "awesome!", despite feeling more like a word for "kinda works", I love it xD Is that a regional thing? Don't think I've ever heard it from anyone else, British included.
American here. A root is what plants use to get water. A route is a path. You aren't putting roots on things with a router you're pathing things with a router.
Hey dude! as a player thats been playing for a quite a while, i have lots of advice! 1.) you can make a line of routers(overflow. gates or even underflow gates if tou want) and put turrets next to tthe line of routers, underflow gates, or overflowgates(and you can use it also for combustion generators) 2.) Titainium can be mined using another drill(which also mines faster), you are correct the new drill needs graphite and to capture forzen forest 3.) drills minung resources are permenent, they dont ever run out! 4.) you can use junctions instead of bridges to go through other lines conveyer belts 5.) enemies will try to find the easiest route to your base, you can do a lot witj thus information such as herding the enemies to your turets 6.) You can pause the game and still be able to place what ever! 7.) enjoy the game, i would say you only expeirenced 6% of this game and what it has ro offer, it is a pond as deep as hollow earth, witj so many nuances ans sich amazing game designs, so rake your time, and enjoy the game! i hope you found my tios useful, if you do plan to uploud part 2 (i cant wait!) i will be sure to give some more advice that helped me go through the game but only enough so i wont spoil what possibilities you can explore or encounter!
Tip: all factories have an "inventory". They can fill up. For example, silicon smelters can only hold 10 coal, and then wont accept any more and can clog up belts
I've always wanted to ask him to play this game but figured the chances were very low. THANK YOU whoever you are for going day by day and asking him to play this. You are my hero!
I absolutely love this game! Great to see you play it! :D A few tips: If you're struggling to unlock more techs, then focus on completing the actual campaign quests. "Frozen Forest" was the 2nd campaign level, and would have likely been easier than the sector you did with the titanium on. Also, the ground resources do not run out. They are infinite. This was likely already obvious, but more of the resource tiles under a drill make it drill faster. Lastly, I would recommend that whenever you capture a sector, you focus on maximising your resource production. You will need a LOT of resources.
Routers are programmed pretty well. They don't try to send items to for example adjacent things that are full. So if you make for example a like of routers, and a like of turrets on each side of the line of routers, and just fill the line of routers up with copper from whichever point on the line ypu want, they'll all slowly fill. As long as the amount of turrets is reasonable and relatively well-protected, they should all just fill up. No need to make the weird branching things. or if you do still want the branching things, just change the conveyors to routers, and place a turret next to each of them.
if you make a line of routers you can just place turrets attached to them instead of using multiple conveyors, so you can have a more compact defense. Also enemies will attack the way with the weakest walls, so you can make one really strong wall and then a weak one and they will always go for the weak one and ignore the strong one, you can use this to make the enemies attack a specific wall
As an American a router (rowter) is a piece of equipment used for getting wifi. A router (pronounced like rce) is a device capable of routing units to different directions
I was wondering when youd check this out. Glad to see you finally have. And would like to see you play this a bit more once youve gotten a better understanding of how things work. Would be really cool to see what kinds of factories and defenses youll come up with.
Mindustry is a underrated game. There wasnt any popular video about this game, until now. If mindustry gets popular someday, you will be the first one that started it.
I am so upset that the fact that he never fed any lead into his scatter guns, and just routed the conveyers behind, never came up at all lol. I was just sitting there screaming at my screen
This is easily one of the most mind-boggling games, and, as others have pointed out, it gets completely insane as you progress. As many hours as I have on this game, I have not yet completed even a single planet.
6:30 "I should really move these scatter guns forward." Actually, I think it'd be even better to actually given them ammo, instead of just having the lead pass by them without loading any of it.
A trick I used a lot for the silicon was routers and junctions set up diagonally (think chessboard white = router, black = Junction) you have that setup in a 2x2,4,6,8, etc and have one block conveyor leading to a silicon smelter, then link the end to a feed of sand and coal and you get perfect distribution. Also lining turrets and routers is good too.
Nobody talking about how he didn't even wire his scatters in on the first level? It felt like a warcrime to not have the routers down. I'm really starting to appreciate my understanding of the game.
Episode 1 of Mindustry tips: Pay attention to how many resources you have before building something big like a double layered large copper wall (each large wall is 24 copper and you built 16 for layer 1 which is already 384 copper plus the 2nd layer of 15 walls with a grand total of 744 copper). Your drills will have a drill speed below 1 resource/second for a long time so always watch your resource levels (especually silicon later). 15:15 is when he made the unnessicarily large wall btw
I got OBSESSED with this game for a bit quick tips the enemy's find the route with the least walls so draw them to where your guns are with less walls between them and your base. Make use of under flow and over flow it mean your ammo supply for your turrets can also be routed into your base. Also use of the clip board and make little encapsulated turret designs. That you can route ammunition into.
I probably have more than 500 hours dedicated to mindustry, watching RCE play this title filled me with a lot of enthusiasm, you don't know what awaits you with how extensive the game can be. "I need more silicone" one of the most accurate phrases for any Mindustry player 😂

Ive played a lot of mindustry in the past! Its SUPER fun, im glad you finally gave it a go! It may seem overwhelming at first but when you start getting into the pace of it its a really cool game especially with how creative you can get with it in terms of how you want to build and such.
Till wait the Red liquid from a reactor made in an Hellish planet turn into an super organisms.
For the enemies to not go around, you can make a tunnel in your defenses where enemies MUST go, and since it's an open route, their stupid ai will go there. But be sure to block the other routes with a few blocks
it's quite lovely how a new player tries mindustry xD
you got even lucky with picking the one sector next to the base who isn't hard difficult
quite even lucky as silicon is reserved for the 3rd named sector
now some basic tips: spacebar is usual to pause, that helps to look around as the time doesn't run away
it is usual enough to just 1 big wall against the spawn, if the spawn has multiple ways, then make one way your defense way with your turrets and the rest with multiple thicc walls of the big ones, important is, that the second ways take longer to go
specially later if you get better generator it is the best to make a dedicated energy area as later one you even need special material for it, like water or pyrite
it is worth checking your turrets what for material you can give as it makes a difference if you use graphit instead of copper for yoru duos
about produktion - try to make various factories next to each other, like multiple graphit presses next to each other so you can use up more of the ressources
YES!!! thank you for giving in to peer pressure haha this is my favorite game!
Also, I think RCE might be the only person ever to make "decent!" sound as enthusiastic as "awesome!", despite feeling more like a word for "kinda works", I love it xD
Is that a regional thing? Don't think I've ever heard it from anyone else, British included.
I swear I've heard it from other English folks
i have actually gotten really addicted to mindustry again and it's been so fun i'm happy that more people are enjoying the game it's an amazing game
As someone who got into Mindustry ages ago but then kind of lost touch, I'd definitely like to see you play more of it.
The 3d globe wasn't there when i played. Its been awhile, but yes great game.
I also used to play it a while ago, but now I want to play it again
American here. A root is what plants use to get water. A route is a path. You aren't putting roots on things with a router you're pathing things with a router.
Hey dude! as a player thats been playing for a quite a while, i have lots of advice!
1.) you can make a line of routers(overflow. gates or even underflow gates if tou want) and put turrets next to tthe line of routers, underflow gates, or overflowgates(and you can use it also for combustion generators)
2.) Titainium can be mined using another drill(which also mines faster), you are correct the new drill needs graphite and to capture forzen forest
3.) drills minung resources are permenent, they dont ever run out!
4.) you can use junctions instead of bridges to go through other lines conveyer belts
5.) enemies will try to find the easiest route to your base, you can do a lot witj thus information such as herding the enemies to your turets
6.) You can pause the game and still be able to place what ever!
8:13 just wait until you see the true power of the bridge
Tip: all factories have an "inventory". They can fill up. For example, silicon smelters can only hold 10 coal, and then wont accept any more and can clog up belts
This is awesome, hoping this becomes a series. The game really does get complicated
Good job! I hope to see more mindustry from you, since not many people are covering the game blind.
16:25 if you click on the minimap on the top right, you can look at enemy spawn zones
Literally a god for playing Mindustry. My savior!
As someone who used to play Mindustry this video had many facepalm moments
As a mindustry player, it is really fun to watch matt play ! I would really like an episode 2 😁
I've always wanted to ask him to play this game but figured the chances were very low. THANK YOU whoever you are for going day by day and asking him to play this. You are my hero!
I absolutely love this game! Great to see you play it! :D
A few tips: If you're struggling to unlock more techs, then focus on completing the actual campaign quests.
YES HE FINALLY PLAYS MINDUSTRY, I can’t wait for mindustry to increase in player numbers..
Installed
This is one of my favorite games! Please keep going with that one! I'm sure you'll like it!
if you make a line of routers you can just place turrets attached to them instead of using multiple conveyors, so you can have a more compact defense. Also enemies will attack the way with the weakest walls, so you can make one really strong wall and then a weak one and they will always go for the weak one and ignore the strong one, you can use this to make the enemies attack a specific wall
The ol' router chain
As an American a router (rowter) is a piece of equipment used for getting wifi. A router (pronounced like rce) is a device capable of routing units to different directions
Oh my goodness I remember this game! Forgotten memories unlocked!
I was wondering when youd check this out. Glad to see you finally have. And would like to see you play this a bit more once youve gotten a better understanding of how things work. Would be really cool to see what kinds of factories and defenses youll come up with.
I love seeing him learn all the little tactics
FINALLY HE DID IT
Yes, play more of this!! It was fun to watch
the video did well we need a part 2
Mindustry is a underrated game. There wasnt any popular video about this game, until now. If mindustry gets popular someday, you will be the first one that started it.
By the way, when your defense gets destroyed, you can use the B key to rebuild it :)
I never knew this. I thought I needed poly to have it done automatically.
I so happy there's finally a new mindustry youtuber! Been waiting for this for forever
I am so upset that the fact that he never fed any lead into his scatter guns, and just routed the conveyers behind, never came up at all lol. I was just sitting there screaming at my screen
2:46 hurt so bad.
6:00 Thank you editor. It’s nice to know someone else shares in my pain
He didn't bulid a router chain :_(
Oh perfect! I just played this recently
Wow, you finally played this game, salute to the guy who was posting
hope it becomes series on this channel, mindustry is a great game that is very forgotten, i play it every day and it makes me halpy.
it was fun to watch lol! series would be much appreciated!
Finally, you should play it with multiple people its so fun
Yessss 🙂
How bold of you to assume that Matt has friends...
First he has to actually understand the game and the high efficient structures, or he won't have a chance
fair@@yellybeam2869
This is easily one of the most mind-boggling games, and, as others have pointed out, it gets completely insane as you progress. As many hours as I have on this game, I have not yet completed even a single planet.
I have watched it already. I am just addicted to watching RCE. Love your Videos!
18:46 "there's so many turrets" while i have a wall of turrets
My turrets cant even fit since theyre 3X3 😂
This was so painful, like reliving something.
I will definitely watch this progress.
as a mindustry player i am very happy
edit: my first 10 likes
Day 1 of telling RCE to play Dyson Sphere program.
This game looks pretty fun i sure hope RCE plays more of it
Im so happy that your playing mindustry. It's not a unknown game but it certainly needs more attention. I'm just happy someone like you is playing it
😂 Matt, you broke like a cheap architects pencil 😂
It hurts to wacth him struggle. He does not know the pain later on nor will he want to know
6:30 "I should really move these scatter guns forward."
Actually, I think it'd be even better to actually given them ammo, instead of just having the lead pass by them without loading any of it.
I impatiently await Matt finding out about LOGIC PROCESSORS. Oh there will be some serious fun.
All hail router.
Not sure if I've ever commented on a video before but I'd really love to see this one go into rotation. So much potential.
🚨 Update...
this was my 3rd comment 🚨
you should definitely play it more :)
"I just realised, I can shoot myself!"
Choose life, Matt.
It would be amazing for there to be a whole playlist full of mindustry!
he did it agin
Day 1 of thanking Matt for playing Mindustry.
Day 1 of asking Matt to stop being an architech.
I can only imagine how happy homie felt not only getting to see the game he wanted to see, but also get a subtle shoutout
Please turn this into a series!
i love mindustry, please make more
I got OBSESSED with this game for a bit quick tips the enemy's find the route with the least walls so draw them to where your guns are with less walls between them and your base. Make use of under flow and over flow it mean your ammo supply for your turrets can also be routed into your base. Also use of the clip board and make little encapsulated turret designs. That you can route ammunition into.
13:08 you will need batteries, so you can keep the smelter constantly running
That’s crazy. Was playing this while scrolling TH-cam. This is awesome
I probably have more than 500 hours dedicated to mindustry, watching RCE play this title filled me with a lot of enthusiasm, you don't know what awaits you with how extensive the game can be. "I need more silicone" one of the most accurate phrases for any Mindustry player 😂
just wait till he figures out how to link the bridge conveyors
This needs to be a series!! Kudos to the comment-guy
Oh my god yes. This is what we all want! Mindustry is honestly my favorite factory simulator, and my favorate tower defense game that i have ever played.
Spoiler:there are units that you can make and theres power and factory, logic, turrets, liquids, and many more
Secrets: Latum and renale are scrapped units and btw theres v8 underdevelopment the cancer update based on the neoplasm a liquid in erekir a byproduct of the neoplasia reactor neoplasm spreads on water so be careful when you use the neoplasia reactor
Secret planets:Tantros a water planet also scrapped,Theia a asteroid scrapped also
Secret materials:fission matter a byproduct(i forgot where it come from)and another one i also forgot it originally supposed to come from neoplasm but scrapped
Uhhh my fingers are shaking
Latum an Renale was been scrapped even the material needed to build them is there.
17:24 if you have a gap in your walls, you can control where their path to your core will be
