It's so nice to see you play this amazing game. More people need to play this as it absolutely deserves more recognition. Been playing this since version 5 and I hope you play more of it in the future!
Yeah. I feel like because Mindustry has such a small community compared to other games, that people from there will flock to whoever else is playing outside of the community to show support.
BTW, the little tiny 1x1 walls can save buildings and conveyors under threat, since bullets from enemies can't go over them, even if they can fly over themselves. It's great fun watching you play!
1. Use power nodes 2. Turrets don’t need light 3. Enemy units can fly over 4. Coal WILL burn so watch out 5. Research as much as possible 6. Produce as much as possible silicone 7. Titanium is important for unloaders 8. Go to sector 175 (next to ground zero) for easier titanium then going for windswept islands (midgame)
Turrets don't need light to function, the reason the flying units got past your turrets that one time is because that specific unit prioritizes destroying power generation and took a different route to get to your newly set up combustion generators; and through their different route went out of range of your turrets. Also you don't need full resources to launch, there are requirements but you don't need a full 4k. Taking extra means you get to start with more resources though, which is nice. There is no reason to keep coal in your core. There is also no reason to keep oil in your core, which is in fact impossible as your core doesn't store liquid.
I'm so glad that you're consistently playing this game. I first played it on mobile and fell in love with it. It's so nice to see how far it has gotten
Great content as usual, i also recently picked up Mindustry. Great game, best thing i learned so far is you can pause the game while and still put down build orders and then let it build unpaused
9:36 - A captain who taught my Terrestrial Navigation course at the Texas Maritime Academy was very adamant that "route" (and thus "router") was pronounced "root," since "A rout is a military defeat, and that's not what you navigate towards!" 😂
fun fact: abandoning a sector before waves start will prevent your buildings from being destroyed, but you will lose all of the resources you've collected so be prepared to go to a previous sector to get them back. This is useful because it gives you more time to work on defenses with no threat of a total base wipe.
These videos are great, especially as ive been playing a lot of Mindustry myself recently. Seeing as BoxKing is retiring his daily asking, I say we all respect him and RCE and simply politley wait for future parts. I say this because while I enjoy the chaos in this game, there are other series id also like to see continue, so he cant just keep doing mindustry. Mining Mechs, Kingdom 2 Crowns, and Dyson Sphere Program are a few that I can think up off the top of my head
Right! Let the man choose what to play. It's his channel. Let the nagging dude start his own channel and play whatever he wants. I usually like Matt's choices, he obviously has a knack, or a decent process of considering what will be entertaining to watch. That said I'm not so keen on mobile games that are built to make you watch ads or... [whisper] microtransactions! That's not playing, it's some twisted addiction skinner-box exploitation thing that's just sadness all round. Much prefer a nice episode of Timberborners (day 1 of preferring...)
A tip: blocking off the way is less effective than making a "path of least resistance" and lining the sides of that path with turrets c: im enjoying the playthrough though, i really hope it continues! The game gets complex later on with power and things that require a lot of resources for recipes, super cool game.
@calebreinhold6987 this works for a little bit, until the game decides "nah, you're not gonna cheese this" and throws flame mechs and flame bombers and shielded laser mechs at you for your indiscretion
One tip I have is to capture extraction outpost ASAP. Not only does the tech unlocked there make the game trivial, it really makes it worth it to build massive factories. I recommend you get there and see for yourself
make sure you protect anything electricity making because some or most air units aim for them so maybe try luring them by placing combustion generators in your defense to lure them
love the perfect example of correlation not causation! the flares got by because they went a different route ignoring the turrets since you placed a power generator! flying units tend to prioritize power generators over anything else. and when you placed that coal powered illuminator you made them target IT since it's closer!
Use eletric turrets Like the duo does 6 damage with copper And an eletric one does 20 with a zap also you only need power in them not any ammo Also there is a neat trick to upgrade your defense Use liquids it boosts the fire rate There is also this one construction caled power node Its like a power pole it takes power and distribute it for any building thath requires power, and it also passes to another node so you dont need a generator near the defenses
you should focus on redesigning 175 and make it produce a lot of silicon and graphite for research. then you can use 175 to launch to other sectors. don't forget you can also add water to your drills to make them work faster.
Can you choose which sectors to launch from because when I play it kinda just automatically chooses and the chosen sector sometimes does not have the important resources.
@@stevena105 so after some research I think that for numbered sectors you can only launch for them from neighbouring sectors but for named sectors from anywhere, according to me.....
I maybe incoherent from the last comment but try Erekir (the top left one) while Seprulo close to a tower defense game, Erekir is more like RTS, shame that it doesn't have as many sectors as Seprulo, i really enjoyed it
I've been playing this game on and off, its sadly one of those games where you start it up thinking, I'll only play 10 minutes, at 11pm and then your stomach is rumbling and your eyes are hurting and its 8am....
Morivational support for engineer to play:The crux (Our red enemy) are architects who researched all and build basees everywere to become superiour then us (The sharded) engineers
Im not like a pro, i wouldnt say im even barely good at the game, but just to imagine i used to do this kind of thing, man, it physically hurts. Btw go first for named sector, it progresses the campaign and unlocks new resources+nodes of research
More mindustry, yay! For the next video, try overgrowth. Also, there is an option to make schematics. That way, you won't need to make everything from scratch each time. You can copy-paste buildings and conveyors.
Lights only will effect your computer, make it brighter, the sandstorm doesn't effect anything.Air unit will attack power supply first,so matt actually make a bait by a accident
Matt If you need quick ground defense Electric turrets are the way to goo Examples of electric turrets are Arc Lancer Paralax They don't need water just electricity Also put batteries because they will eat electricity fast Power nodes are just like conveyors but has a radius like a item bridge
If you put a lot of routers in one line you can make a front line of turrets and if you put an overflow gate at the beginning then if the turrets are full you can make it go into your base so no recourses are waisted or just sitting there :)
This is so much easier than the mindustry I remember. You had only one map and by wave 50 it started to get completely covered in defenses or you'd be obliterated
heavy super USEFUL tip: use 5 to 7 layers of regular copper walls. even though their weak. they actually slow down many enemies. and then use big copper walls to cover them. like its a super-wall. dont spam big ones. just spam smaller ones and then big ones. WE SHALL MEET AGAIN!! *four the helper disappears back into BFB*
tip: instead of just making turrets, make a maze with turrets in the walls, a bridge conveyor bringing them ammo. enemy AI will destroy the maze walls, but they won't go through the routes that you block off with more walls. they WILL pass through the maze unless they fly.
Run water to your pneumatic drills, they produce faster, as well as some turrets and other factories have different status buffs from adding water or other liquids to it.
If you put a wall right next to a generator it might block the bullets fired by flying units that go after the generator, then if you place a mender nearby...
Power nodes No tureets can shoot in dark but the enemy can also fly over Bring all resourses Silicon is important Always reaserch evrythiNG YOU DONT NEED 2.0K OF EVRITHING YOU CAN GO WHIT 0 LIQIUDS DONT GO IN CORE THEY GO IN BUILDINGS 175 should be your Factory sector
Now that im playing this game im crying when rce do sh*t like deleting the sand miner cuz its was puting sand on the other line when he can just put jonction on it (it whould just stop ruind ur line and gain more sand 👍)
At this point i think mat actually likes this game and is using the one person as the reason hes playing. It may have started out that way but if you made a 3rd video of it i think you just like the game!
You can only do one zones at a time, meaning that if you have an uncaptured sector on serpulo(the first planet) you cannot play a sector from erikir(the orange planet) How ever you can have multiple uncaptured sectors and it will show the survival chanes when inspected on from a different sector Enemy has their AIs set to target the most efficient/power producing generator I highly recommend producing the "mono" mining units as they are very effective at doing their job, you can unlock more unit tiers by unlocking their tier factories
Day 999 of asking people to cut that shit out. If you want RCE to do requests, you can pay him like everyone else on his Patreon. Why is your choice of game more important than what I might want to see? Which you don't see me asking for, because it's Matt's channel and I'll let him decide what would be fun for us to watch. People are so entitled on the Internet these days. If he isn't having a poll, that doesn't mean you should start your own, and passive-agressively nag him about it, as if pressing "Comment" every day is some sort of blood sacrifice or something. Go climb a mountain. Spending 4 weeks nagging some Internet dude isn't worth mentioning, what do you expect in return for that? I dunno how anyone could have so little pride. If Matt happens to read this, I know I'm a grumpy sod but I hope you'd take it on board. Choose your own games, you and your Patreon fans. This bullshit is so bullshit it's not even a real thing. It's demeaning to the human race as a whole that it goes on, and worse if you surrender to it.
Now, I know some of us have stated this already, and I’m not the judgy type. You need to strategize your resource flow, get into factorio style mass production, and make good use of schematics and Pause mode. Now I’ve noticed that your version of mindustry is actually the old one, unlocking water pumps and all of these mechanics very early alongside the old introduction help guide have given that away. as a result of that issue I can’t give a full assistance, but I can do you a small favor. For starters, you want to use Distributors, Routers are great but theres too little outputs, and spamming them to fuel turrets is a inefficient. You can also use distributors to connect massive amounts of resource extraction lines, and merge them to form full lines. This tactic will let you fuel Silicon smelters, pyratite mixers and Power plants of such. If you continue like that you’ll have a lot more resource deficiencies just like in your first video with copper, (it isnt pleasant). Alongside this I’ll post 2 schematics to help you on your way. You just need to open the schematics tab, the little clip board button, and load them in for usage, it’ll paste the factories in for you, and just follow the inputs marked by the sorters, when you fuel this beasts you’ll get an ubsurd amount of resources in no time for whatever you may need next. Now, just to let you know schematics are amazing for things like this, and if you want to make some yourself for easier copy and paste, you just need to copy whatever you built, by using the copy mechanic (right click and drag if I remember), and press save. Lastly as I was going to say, you run out of time very quickly as I noticed, this can bring a lot of stress and redo’s for a video, i recommend use the pause button (K key if I remember) and you’ll be able to pause, lay out what you want to build, and then unpause, and you’d lose no time trying to think out how to build something. Silicon factory thing: (just copy and paste this and you’re good to go! 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 Heres the pyratite one! 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 Here’s the Graphite one! bXNjaAF4nFVRS07DMBAdO/6kCQJxA7Yseg4OwBKxSFqrtdQmkROKggSCY1BA4hKcixsQxh4nahJNRu955s3LGM5gkYCoir2ByxtXNFvbmavbve22xvWQr027crbpbF0BgNoVpdm1IO9+v3/uJVyUzq43Zrmqq4PpawfnmyixbJxpW0ink3xt287Z8qFDoNradcah4jUGJBro4eEr9TAMbxgfCBiw8TTxgGoYCF/0ivEZoByLWAilJ7Wpg4MglcS3vmB8BahGeAxQ+1YR7QhqF8BPLQqSGCIlyMxzMMNB+p4EEwctMAkJAUh8Ew7KWxSYRl4Rr4N1TLNRmpbDIqVp1FP8b41uI3zHmpSKUrLXhz/0rCBWjewRpVM/0KcUGIMFLSk7XbaHYdpjnJbNt5yR4F+k8vk15nSNh3CN/5L0gb4= you probably don’t trust these, and I understand, but I’m just trying to help, yw!

It's so nice to see you play this amazing game. More people need to play this as it absolutely deserves more recognition. Been playing this since version 5 and I hope you play more of it in the future!
Nice, i started in early v6. already noticed evryone in the comments appears to also Play Mindustry?
Thanks! More Mindustry, please!
Thank you!!
1. Use power nodes
2. Turrets don’t need light
3. Enemy units can fly over
4. Coal WILL burn so watch out
5. Research as much as possible
6. Produce as much as possible silicone
7. Titanium is important for unloaders
8. Go to sector 175 (next to ground zero) for easier titanium then going for windswept islands (midgame)
Siligone 😢
@@UpliftU1 accurate
That is good to know thank you
Yup, if you feel you're about to lose, just abandon. And when you came back, use the rebuild (B button) to quickly re-setup production.

Love how you unintentionally baited the enemy into your aa guns at 8:00
I swear your editor deserves props for their work. The angelic noises turning on and off for the illuminator actually made me lol
Came to the comments to say the same, the angelic noises on/off with the light is a superb bit that also had me literally laughing out loud.
A tip: blocking off the way is less effective than making a "path of least resistance" and lining the sides of that path with turrets c: im enjoying the playthrough though, i really hope it continues! The game gets complex later on with power and things that require a lot of resources for recipes, super cool game.
Or play tower offense and setup right outside their spawn point.
@calebreinhold6987 this works for a little bit, until the game decides "nah, you're not gonna cheese this" and throws flame mechs and flame bombers and shielded laser mechs at you for your indiscretion
@@Argom42 We might be talking past each other, since I've seen and smashed plenty of those exact waves while doing that sort of strat.
One tip I have is to capture extraction outpost ASAP. Not only does the tech unlocked there make the game trivial, it really makes it worth it to build massive factories. I recommend you get there and see for yourself
The box king is the only reason a youtuber this bit has played this game, and i respect him for it. Im also glad matt is playing serplo first
How to beat peer pressure?
Be peerless.
make sure you protect anything electricity making because some or most air units aim for them so maybe try luring them by placing combustion generators in your defense to lure them
love the perfect example of correlation not causation! the flares got by because they went a different route ignoring the turrets since you placed a power generator! flying units tend to prioritize power generators over anything else. and when you placed that coal powered illuminator you made them target IT since it's closer!
So happy you're playing this again ☺️☺️
The hilarious, interrupted, heavenly music got me good. Well played!
Use eletric turrets
Like the duo does 6 damage with copper
And an eletric one does 20 with a zap also you only need power in them not any ammo
Also there is a neat trick to upgrade your defense
Use liquids it boosts the fire rate
There is also this one construction caled power node
Its like a power pole it takes power and distribute it for any building thath requires power, and it also passes to another node so you dont need a generator near the defenses
SUPER TIP: research mono (its after flare). Produce them at the very start. They are useful as heck
7:56 to the editor, I was not ready for that joke 😂
Can we appreciate how long he plays these games for our entertainment?
you should focus on redesigning 175 and make it produce a lot of silicon and graphite for research. then you can use 175 to launch to other sectors. don't forget you can also add water to your drills to make them work faster.
Can you choose which sectors to launch from because when I play it kinda just automatically chooses and the chosen sector sometimes does not have the important resources.
@@ronitbhat9624 yes you can first go to the sector u want to lauch from and then click the planet map and thats it, launch where you want to go
@@ronitbhat9624 Yeah, ditto. Actually came down here to ask the same thing.
@@stevena105 please tell me if you find out how ..
@@stevena105 so after some research I think that for numbered sectors you can only launch for them from neighbouring sectors but for named sectors from anywhere, according to me.....
The fact that this is so inefficient is hilarious to me
I maybe incoherent from the last comment but try Erekir (the top left one) while Seprulo close to a tower defense game, Erekir is more like RTS, shame that it doesn't have as many sectors as Seprulo, i really enjoyed it
Loving this little series mate keep up the good work
I've been playing this game on and off, its sadly one of those games where you start it up thinking, I'll only play 10 minutes, at 11pm and then your stomach is rumbling and your eyes are hurting and its 8am....

8:12 Light won't work, but the generator attracted the flying enemies
More mindustry, yay! For the next video, try overgrowth. Also, there is an option to make schematics. That way, you won't need to make everything from scratch each time. You can copy-paste buildings and conveyors.
Lights only will effect your computer, make it brighter, the sandstorm doesn't effect anything.Air unit will attack power supply first,so matt actually make a bait by a accident
Erekir Is even harder than serpulo, serpulo Is much more fun
Matt
If you need quick ground defense
Electric turrets are the way to goo
Examples of electric turrets are
Arc
Lancer
Paralax
They don't need water just electricity
Also put batteries because they will eat electricity fast
Power nodes are just like conveyors but has a radius like a item bridge
Paralax no good early game , use scatter
I remember this game, it's Hella fun, I'm surprised to be seeing RCE playing it, you sir are the first TH-camr I've seen that has played this gem

Don't put oil into your core, you're going to have a hearth attack
I bought this in the winter sale! Been a great excuse to ignore my family this Christmas!! 10/10
If you put a lot of routers in one line you can make a front line of turrets and if you put an overflow gate at the beginning then if the turrets are full you can make it go into your base so no recourses are waisted or just sitting there :)
RCE's inner American coming out when he discovered oil... He got a little too excited. 😂
This is so much easier than the mindustry I remember. You had only one map and by wave 50 it started to get completely covered in defenses or you'd be obliterated
He is playing campaign mode not survival mode
100% sure this isn't a peer pressure issue. It's a cover story for a new addiction.
The first experience of titanium conveyors is definitely fun... but just you wait till plastanium conveyors make an appearance :P

We love Matt playing mindustry
heavy super USEFUL tip: use 5 to 7 layers of regular copper walls. even though their weak. they actually slow down many enemies. and then use big copper walls to cover them. like its a super-wall. dont spam big ones. just spam smaller ones and then big ones.
WE SHALL MEET AGAIN!! *four the helper disappears back into BFB*
tip v2: scatters dont really work without liquid.. so uh yeah.. water works real best.
Bro turned American after seeing oil lmao
tip: instead of just making turrets, make a maze with turrets in the walls, a bridge conveyor bringing them ammo.
enemy AI will destroy the maze walls, but they won't go through the routes that you block off with more walls.
they WILL pass through the maze unless they fly.
The old supply depot StarCraft technique. Love to see it
Run water to your pneumatic drills, they produce faster, as well as some turrets and other factories have different status buffs from adding water or other liquids to it.
If you put a wall right next to a generator it might block the bullets fired by flying units that go after the generator, then if you place a mender nearby...

Matt is such an engineer he can locate veins of silicone, instead of silicon
Now that im playing this game im crying when rce do sh*t like deleting the sand miner cuz its was puting sand on the other line when he can just put jonction on it (it whould just stop ruind ur line and gain more sand 👍)
BLUEPRINTS MAN, your an engineer
Possibly the best thumbnail ever created
At this point i think mat actually likes this game and is using the one person as the reason hes playing. It may have started out that way but if you made a 3rd video of it i think you just like the game!
Walls protect against enemy projectiles too, so to protect your turret and light you could have just put some walls around them.
Marvellous, i hope he continues playing it
I need a series of this!!!
You should play more mindustry
You can only do one zones at a time, meaning that if you have an uncaptured sector on serpulo(the first planet) you cannot play a sector from erikir(the orange planet)
How ever you can have multiple uncaptured sectors and it will show the survival chanes when inspected on from a different sector
Enemy has their AIs set to target the most efficient/power producing generator
I highly recommend producing the "mono" mining units as they are very effective at doing their job, you can unlock more unit tiers by unlocking their tier factories
I love how the dude who pressured him to play this game is no longer active on the channel anymore 😂😂😂
Prove me Wrong
All this talk of sand and I was expecting an Anakin Skywalker cut away lol
I'm enjoying this series.
Sacrificial engines! Lol. That's definitely the mindustry way
Day 999 of asking people to cut that shit out.
