- What Have They Done To This Tower... BTD6 / Bloons TD 6 - in what might be a strange decision, the top path beast handler got a massive buff to its damage despite already being fairly decent before! Check out what the megalodon can do against a 40M hp boss here...

@@AriaCorvus it +5, +1(stacks with embrittlement), +2 on every splash, and tick, so it would be around a 10% more damage, so it is around 660.000 dmg tower.
Ninja Kiwi probably buffed it because it's play rate was so dang low, it has such issues being afforded because of the requirements to even place the darn thing, let alone if it died immediately because a single ceramic was too fast for it
and ya know what they did? buff everything BUT the actual thing it struggles with
@justenoughrandomness8989 To be fair, they also increased the splash radius so it help a bit.
@justenoughrandomness8989It makes it a little more balanced because you need other tower for supports, just like how MAD cant deal with ceramics or how Big plane cant focus down a BAD if there are several on screen. Still the attack speed "bug" might be fixed as it is way too strong.

I still don’t get what they were thinking when they first made megalodon. An expensive ass tower that was bad late game, literally worse than useless. This change is very welcome.

They've turned it into the monster it always claimed to be.
They turned it (kinda) into what it was, immedeatly after the Beast Handler was released.

Ironically stronger than current tack paragon if we don't factor in the mega meteor ability.

Beast handler tier 5s are basically degree 40 paragons

So instead of a 5.5x damage boost, it gets a 7.5x damage boost (when all buffs are on). That’s a crazy difference.

the bug is that thrash damage deals more to bloons when it isnt locked on to them (so when it isnt targeting them but the thrash area is still hurting them)
How does that explain the experiment he did? It's a single balloon.
Tbh it just seems like bad tower design
so who's stronger:
a dart paragon shooting plasma balls designed to pop stuff
or
a fish
Strange how beast handler now is absurdly good (mostly fish and bird) but I still feel zero desire to use it because it tends to be clunky despite how well it can do. Especially the bird on overlapping tracks.

In my opinion, now its balanced, it costs more than a degree 20 paragon, so it makes sense to deal that damage

@@CoconutOrNot_ Sentry champion is one of the best dps tower for lategame, so it definitely can do it.
I think grandmaster barely enters their ranks too
the issue to me is not the megalodon but the tiers before it. its low speed makes it inconsistent in the part of the game that gw/orca is usually used which consists of cerams and moab classes. feels like it loves to grab a moab class and let a bunch of cerams fly through. it can be targeting micro'd but in all honesty its an enormous pain. i think for casual players (the majority of the playerbase) to use it more often they might need to do a little rework on the attack patterns imo. maybe larger thrash radius? idk im not a game dev
There's also the pierce of the Megalodon that's affecting its dps, as it is doing that thrashing damage across multiple bloons at a time rather then just one testing bloon.

I think its funny that they could have just left the beta version of 5xx beast handler and I think that was even weaker than this version, and the beta 5xx was nerfed into the ground

Randomly i ended up using megalodon for End gane like 130+
In 14 rounds it got MORE POPS
Then the 26° Tack paragon, I got at round 114

It go from Trash tier to Thrash tier
the bite duration might be affected by pierce if that makes any sense
I want BH to get paragon but I'm sure we're getting the older support towers first.
I genuinely prefer this version of Megalodon, it makes the beast handler much more worth it in the long run, it’s definitly more of a late game tower especially with the Meg, but 100% make wit much more worth the price
This thing absolutely needed a buff, they might have gone a bit overboard though
now megalodon is now back to its former glory

They should add it in game and it gives u stats for the bloons like hp and what its immune to and u unlock bloons when u pop them + some wacky description
The x3 damage buff is huge, but for the lolz I feel compelled to tell you about the biggest buff I ever heard of.
In Helldivers 2, the thermite grenade is thrown on big enemies to stick to them and deal damage. It used to do 100 and be complete trash. Can’t kill a basic enemy.
It was buffed to 2000.
Which is a x20 buff.
Completely insane. It went from "I never even equipped it" to "the best tank killer".
They buffed it because it’s probably the least used tower in the game
