    Man this video is so good. As a first time travel credit card user, you explained everything thoroughly! Other youtubers just show the benefits but dont actually explain it! Thank you so much!

    This was a great video! Really liked your take on the Venture. It doesn’t get a lot of love these days as it’s in the shadow of the Venture X, but it’s definitely a grey card.

    When I first started picking up new cards beginning of 2022, SavorOne was 1st. I saw the versatility in it especially for travel to Southeast Asia.
    I recently product changed SO to VentureOne. That applied for another SavorOne. It's been a busy year so that was my best option. Really happy to have a saver one again. Down the road a few months I may upgrade VO to Venture.

    I really enjoyed your video and how thorough you explained things.
    Q: for someone that doesn’t travel much is the ‘venture rewards’ still a good option for me, or is the ‘venture one rewards’ with $0 fee good enough?
    I do like some free flyer miles in a card fyi
    Thank you!

      Thanks for the feedback. I personally think the 2x multiplier for the Venture makes it a really great card to have even by itself since this is the same multiplier the Venture X gets, with only a $95 annual fee. The Venture One is a good option if you really can not live with the annual fee but you have the option to downgrade your card after you get it (for example Venture X -> Venture or Venture -> Venture One). Hope that makes sense

    I’m trying decide between the venture and the Amex Gold…I already have the chase sapphire….the annual fee being 95 with the venture makes it hard to pass up

    • @realprofessoroak
      @realprofessoroak  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think the Venture is a great standalone card if you want something that has a good earning capacity across spending categories, but if you are pairing the Gold with the Platinum to cover your dining/grocery expenses at 4x it would be a good option as well.

    I have the VX card, not the Venture card... I travel 5 times a year to Asia, yeah the VX is totallllllllly worth the $395 AF. If you don't travel at all, just get the regular Venture card.

    I would really like to use one of venture cards, although I'm having difficulty finding all opinions on their travel portal, example hotel room selection, and even lack of acknowledging certain rental car locations. that makes everything so much more difficult, that's the only downside I have seen with C1.

    • @realprofessoroak
      @realprofessoroak  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I agree, but I'd say that transferring Capital One miles is always an option that opens it up to booking directly on a particular airline/hotel chain if it's not shown on Capital One Travel

    Great video, do I understand correctly that the 4000 in 3 months on a regular purchase would give you an additional 8000 miles on top of the 75k? Thanks

    • @realprofessoroak
      @realprofessoroak  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes that is correct, the 75k bonus miles are applied after that 4k spend is reached, and you would earn at least 8k miles on those purchases (at a 2x earning rate of 4k spend), unless it was on Capital One travel, in which case it would be at a 5x rate.

    Would they let you get the bonus points if you upgrade to venture X

    • @realprofessoroak
      @realprofessoroak  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      It depends on if the targeted offer is available from Capital One to upgrade. I personally haven't received an upgrade offer yet which is why I haven't gotten a Venture X (nor do I see a reason to right now if there isn't an added bonus mile offer), even though I've had my Venture Rewards for 5 years now. You can confirm by calling Capital One to see if that targeted offer is available
