So true and so freeing. We are so insignificant it’s untrue. If the Earth blew up the universe would be just fine.

Being in the present moment would be observing what is unfolding, the unknown.
All our thoughts and feelings come from past experiences.

I love Michael Singer but sometimes I have questions. Based on what he says, are you never to try to change your ways as a person? Are we supposed to leave the planet alone completely, not trying to work on solutions to climate change humans have imposed? Should I be friends with people who take advantage of others and participate in activities and have behaviors I don't want to be around?

Once you release identification with form, actions flow more naturally ❤

My understanding is that our “artificial” behaviors that are driven my clinging to or pushing away events in life is what causes problems and gives us needs. When we let those go our “authentic” behavior of the moment can come thru. This natural behavior comes from a place of wholeness and is our higher true nature. This authentic nature will help others in need, it will drink water when we are thirsty, and eat when we are hungry.

Michael spent 30 years teaching inmates at a prison.
Many of Michael’s talks are about is how we try to manipulate or control what is happening on the outside to be comfortable on the inside.
In this talk he is talking about the value system we have and how we are affected by observing behavior of others.
What is the nature of the observer compared to what is being observed?

I think what he’s saying is that we are only able to see things from our own perspective based on our own samskaras. So, basically, don’t mess with things until you clear your own samskaras. I realize this can be very controversial. This is a very deep teaching. I’m going to listen to this talk several more times to grasp everything he’s saying.

I have been listening & listening. Fell I love when l came across Michael’s audio book a long time ago. I am just wondering does this only work when one has gone past all levels of Maslow hierarchy & one is trying to actualise ? I would welcome a response please 🙏🏾 Shalom 🕊️

In my opinion, Mickey's teachings work for everyone. He is really teaching the wisdom of Great Masters from long ago, Jesus, Buddha, Lao Tzu, Third Zen Patriarch, etc. He just puts it in language that we can relate to. His teachings are very simple. When you notice a disturbance, relax and release it. Allow it to pass through you. Don't push it away. I think anyone can do that.

The best way to get an answer is to listen to many more videos.
Michael addresses what you are asking.
Are the needs fulfilled by something internal or external?

Can you give me a timestamp when he says this? I downloaded the whole transcript and searched for the word user and found nothing. Thx.

@@SeatsofContemplationsorry it’s not in this talk but I have listened to most of his talks on your great playlist…thank you so so so much for the playlist..🙏🙏🙏🙏 but in a lot of them he says “ you are the n user”…..
I know the computer term “ user” but not what he says. Not electronic savvy so when he uses computer technology I have to listen to that part of the talk several times to get the gest of it. Thank you for your reply.🙏🙏🙏

Oh, he's probably saying "end user". Like if someone creates a program, who will be the final user of the program. Thanks for your comment. I'm glad you're enjoying the talks!
