We know it will never be the best Car in the world but it’s a remarkable example of how to make a simple design work so well,forget Ferrari or Mercedes with their fancy computers and budgets this was made by a small company with very little resources compared to the bigger firms. It really is astonishing how they made it work.
More of a sightseeing lap than anything from which to take lines or inspiration, but lovely quality video. What a great session, though… light traffic and great weather. Nice.
@@najuad Given the height of the atom and the crappy visibility out the back of some of those cars, it may be little wonder. Especially when trying to look ahead due to other vehicles ;)

I hope your enjoying your atom- tyre pressures are very low and depend a bit on which tyre you have fitted. The factory will give you a good starting point.

It’s an amazing place. That’s the standard tourist evening session queues, loads of mental metal all chomping at the bit to get gone! One of my best laps was first out infront of the ring taxis and a few of the usual gt3s and performantes. Going out first in the evening is amazing, you KNOW no one is a corner ahead dropping oil/debris/mid roll so if you so choose you can absolutely pin it!!
Pro tip: while your phone is protected by the windscreen, start recording sound on your phone and then patch the audio to the video. You'll get better engine sound without the wind👍

Went back to the ring later that year with a working set up and then the sound was lost in the download! no...the atom v8 wouldn't have a windshield like that, it has two small windshields kinda like the size of a sportsbike on the left and right and plus doesnt the atom v8 only come in its black red color haha i think thats probably an atom 2.0 or maybe 3.0
@@JuJu-ny7bq The Ariel Atom 3.0 is the Ariel Atom V8 :-) . The one being drive here has a supercharged 2.0 Honda. I've driven one (I wish I owned one!) and it is very different from any other car I've ever driven. The brakes don't have any power assistance so you have to push hard, and it corners so fast that it took a bit of a mental hurdle to head into corners without braking as much as I would usually. It isn't an exaggeration to call it a racing car for the road (although it really needs to be driven on the track as it is so damn fast!) If you ever get the opportunity to drive one or be a passenger in one, take it!
