I recently picked up a Helix Floor and PowerCab 112 Plus and have dialed in some excellent tones at a volume tolerable in a residential setting (approximately 8:30 or 20-25%). While I did expect a change in tone when using this setup in a live situation, it was far more drastic than anticipated. I'm using the PowerCab in FRFR mode.
At a live volume (which is approximately 11:00 on the volume dial or 45%), the tone becomes extremely brittle and harsh. This is the case even with fairly aggressive high cuts. The output from the Helix is set so that the input meter on the PowerCab flashes yellow. The change in tone and feel is so drastic, that I have to assume I'm doing something wrong, so I thought I'd ask if you have any advice.
    Thanks.

    hi Nick.
I have a Helix Floor with Genelec 8020 and great Presets. Now i buyed a Powercab 112plus.
Now i want to know what is the best way to use the Powercab connected with Line 6 AES with the Helix.
    1. Helix presets with amp-block and cab-block.
Did i have to disable the cab-block and use the powercab in speaker-mode?
Is the cab-block automaticly disabled in powercab speaker-mode?
    2. Helix preset with A/C-block.
Did i have to replace the A/C-block wich the equivalent amp-block?
What is the better sound: helix preset and powercab in FRFR-mode or using Powercab in speaker-mode withe the same cab-setting as in my preset?
Sorry for ma english, i'm from germany. i hope you understand my questions

Sorry, this powercap is to heavy and expensive! For this price you'll get a closed up amp with modeling, even in your'e own sortiment! Half the price is enough and it sounds like you'll have a lid or plastic tarp over it! Why are you talking so much? Just show audio examples! Why is the EAS interface not working with most others foreign systems?
