  • Some footage of The Framed live @The Woodley arms Stockport. For this performance I used the Line 6 Pod Go & Powercab. The tones all come from the same snapshot for which I used all night.

    Impressive tones on the last PF tune. This POD gets the job done... and does the band!

    Not only does it sound great, but your playing is fantastic! I’ve been researching the digital realm of guitar world lately as my 58 year old body can no longer handle lugging around a 60 lb amp and almost as heavy of a pedalboard. This setup may be in the cards for me. Thanks for sharing and keep rockin brother 👍🏻

      I’m 42 & am sick of lugging amps around! Yes, this is a great way to go. Some of the best tones I’ve had come from this setup 😎

    This sounds fantastic, just moved to the pod go and thinking about using a powered cab, this has helped thanks!

      It’s a great sound live. I use the cab as a monitor though, the cab is linked up to the PA.

    Sounds freaking awesome. I use a Line 6 Stomp and love the thing. I have a patch thats a Mesa Mark IV. It rips! This was my favorite cover we usta do. I’ll try to find a recording. We were called John Hornsby and the Mange.😂

    Sounds good. Quite impressive, actually…particularly the high leads up the neck, which are often a problem with modelers. I’d like to know how you did it.

    It does sound good, and I bet it’s a damn sight lighter than the Engl! That’s a really cool jam in Black Magic Woman as well mate 👍

    • @GregDaviesguitarist
      @GregDaviesguitarist  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It’s a damn sight lighter for sure mate! I can setup in literally five mins too. It sounds 6/10 to my ears but I’m used to playing through quite expensive amps as you know. This sound is certainly good enough for a gig like this… Its also got a fun feel to it through the Powercab. The person in charge of the PA also makes a huge difference… You know what I mean 😉

    • @SubFuncJamTracks
      @SubFuncJamTracks 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@GregDaviesguitarist 😂 So do you run it through the PA as well as the Powercab?

    • @GregDaviesguitarist
      @GregDaviesguitarist  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@SubFuncJamTracks yeah, I use the powercab as an amp like monitor then plug the cab into the PA. Makes a big difference. Actually it’d be great to get your thoughts at a gig as you know my usual sound live 👍

    • @SubFuncJamTracks
      @SubFuncJamTracks 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@GregDaviesguitarist That sounds like a good setup. Absolutely. I’ll check your gig schedule on Instagram and see if there’s any that I can make it to 👍

  • @ivorlongshot
    @ivorlongshot ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I've been thinking about getting a Pod Go. So if I get this right, no need for an amp, you can use the amp block on the Pod Go? I'm technically inept.

    Wow the 112 Powercab is loud enough for a gig. Is the Powercab connected to FOH via Mic or XLR?

    Sounds great. Do you use IRs or the speaker sims?

    • @GregDaviesguitarist

      All the inbuilt speakers sims buddy. Don’t use any IR’s

  • @ozzypanter

    this is the volumen straight from the power cab or the xrl output ?

    • @GregDaviesguitarist
      @GregDaviesguitarist  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The xlr from the powercab. You need to plug it direct from the powercab to the PA.

    • @ozzypanter
      @ozzypanter ปีที่แล้ว +1

      i have the same combination pod and power cab but i'm not getting a good volumen to use it as a monitor on stage :(
