I've used the helix for about a year now and I got to say it can do pretty much anything from soft stuff to the heavier stuff I play. It gets called "the poor man's kemper", but when playing live, the audience can't really tell the difference. I vouch for it 100% and say it is definitely worth the money
josht617 I have the kemper and this is better. But nothing beats a great tube amp and great dirt pedal. But if I was a traveling pro. The Helix would be going with me.

I created presets under 05A and 05B both are distortion presets. 05A is noticably louder than B and I can't figure out how to get the volumes closer to each other. All cabs are the same but heads are different. Volumes and eq settings are close. And the quieter preset doesn't have a noise gate on it.
Great way to save blocks, but what if I'm using an HXFX and instead of a delay it's a stereo amp modeler where I'm sending mono and returning stereo. Using the stereo block FX LOOP 1/2 would work? I'm thinking I'd have to pan everything to the send 1 but I'm not sure if the block has that option. Or should I send 1 mono and then use another block for stereo return 1/2? Thanks for the help.
Hey so, you can mute strings for the variax, but can you also split them to different outputs? So let's say EAD to one output in the Helix and GBE to another?
jR CREEPROCKS yea the dt amps are involved with Bogner. Not a bad amp. I use the power from it for the Helix. I don’t think it got enough credit. There are tubes in it. Even though people were saying there weren’t. But who cares. The Helix and kemper etc. have no tubes.
This just turns what could have been a simple two cables going from a pedalboard to the Helix (if it had stereo inputs, it doesn't), into a huge cluster-cuss of spaghetti cables and mandatory patch customizations.
So where is the next advanced routing video. it seems that line6 should have these already done for the customers paying fat stacks for helix. routing is where a lot of people need more information since there is not much in the manual.

When I put my fuzz face into the fx loop I get uncontrollable airy hiss. Even with the guitar volume fully down. Any ideas?

The delay cancels out in mono. Polarity problem. Perhaps with the cabling.
Anyone have suggestions on using a talk box with the Helix?
One would think Line 6 might just make a Bogner model?

yeah but who has the money for extra pedals after paying the helix 's hefty price, thats they they paid 1200 for the helix in the first place.

the helix is hardly a hefty price, very competitive with Fractal and much cheaper than Kemper
