This is EXCELLENT! THANK YOU! What we need is some really good upholstery sewing techniques for cosplay. I'm talking vinyl, PVC, leather. The stuff you see a LOT of cosplays made of because of the texture and density of that fabric. PLEASE!
I made a duct tape dummy of myself awhile ago and I found that if you don't use filler like packing foam then it takes way too much expanding foam to fill. I also used some old clothes I was planning on taking to the thrift store to fill it and it worked really well. Also, if you close up the neck and hang it upside down then you don't have to worry about the foam coming out the bottom. I just used string and hung it outside from my patio ceiling. I then took a old light stand and removed the light from the top and shoved it into the middle of the foam. When it dried, it had a nice sturdy stand for it (until my armor got really heavy and the base broke).

Oh dude. For a cross over, I'd love to see how to make Allen Walker's Robe/cloak and his anti-akuma weapon (his arm) from D.Grayman sometime since the new season is finally coming out this month! (as of now the fandom is pretty small though. It's been about 10 years since d.grayman originally came out i think)
Crossover idea! :D can you make Zuko's (and Roku's and Sozin's) Crown from ATLA: the Avatar and the Firelord (s3e16 if i remember right). it's a really small thing but, would be great to have it lightweight, but feeling metalic to the touch. Great prop for cosplay, or to spice up formal dress :D

Also, a "New 52" Batgirl cosplay and prop cross could work out well. Modifying a existing jacket to include snaps for a cape, or building a jacket from a basic pattern. Paired with Barbara's belt/hip pouch combo and a cowl, with a few basic batarang said or grapple gun maybe? Anyway, random ideas from my random brain...

How about a Rey's staff and Jakku scavenger cosplay? Fairly simple in concept, and would mostly take cheap-ish materials, but the details would really make or break the final look. Include at leas one satchel/shoulder back for "scavenged" parts.

on your duct tape dummy you should have used a Sharpie to make a cut line and then put registration marks so that when you tape it back together you know exactly where it's supposed to line up. so that maybe beginners might not get it out of line and have to cut it back open and fix it

What kind of expanding foam did you use for the DTD? I've tried to use an expanding foam before to fill a head dummy, but the foam deep inside, beyond the neck opening, didn't cure. It pretty much just turned to soup. =\

How could you forget crimping? its safer than soldering and takes up less space than a wire nut. All you need is a crimp and a pair of needle nose pliers.

"Cell" in this context means a single unit in a collection of hollow, enclosed spaces. This definition actually predates the biological definition because the guy who discovered plant and animal cells felt they resembled monastery cells under a microscope. Couple more things: 1) Organic matter is also comprised of atoms 2) Organic doesn't mean biological, just that something contains Carbon. CO2, for example, is not alive.

EVA foam is also called "Closed Cell Foam".
