this is easily one of the best-finished pieces I've seen on this channel. very well done.
To be fair, it's not a very complicated piece to begin with. Still, it does look good.
yeah i agree, that companion crate the other guy did was kinda messy it doesn't look like a pro did it
+radx99 you're right, it is a pretty simple design, but in many ways that's actually harder to do well. With something super fancy you can simplify it a lot and still look good. With a simple design you have to go all out and nail every little bit because there isn't any leeway.
I like that he got away from using a lot of hot glue. That stuff gets all over and makes things look messy. Clean cuts, cement glue and proper bondo blending should be done a lot more on this channel. This set the bar. I hope they don't go in the other direction.

You should make a plumbus! Here are some instructions:
1. You take the dingle bop and smooth it out with a bunch of shleem.
2. Re-purpose the shleem for later batches.
3. Now take the dingle bop and push it through the grumbow.
4. Now rub it against the phleeb. (This is an important step because the phleeb has all of the phleeb juice.)
5. At this point a shlamy shows up and rubs it and spits on it.
6. Now cut the phleeb.
7. You will notice that their are several hizerds in the way.
8. Have the blamphs rub against the chumbles.
9. Now shave away the plubis and the grumbow.
Finally, this leaves you with a regular old plumbus.
Total Cost: about 10 phlerbows
Thats a bit expensive for me. Is there an easier way?

In the process of making one of these and I wana say the price for a normal person even borrowing tools (step bit / soldering iron / saw) is well over 40 bucks. magisculpt $20, Styrene $34, plastic cement $8. It may just be my area but the styrene was near impossible to find. Home Depot has it in huge sheets and they will not cut it, you have to buy the whole sheet. The soldering was easy as my uncle is a master electrician. Cutting the styrene was a ridiculous task I went through about 10 blades and each cut had to be gone over about 6 times (for the thinner board) I think the title should more or less be "DIY Difficulty level out of 10" or something lol

Adam Theall I found them at a dollar General (dollar store). They are not exact but they serve the same function.
Agreed, this involves a lot more cost and expertise than it appears. I get excited to make these builds, then quickly realize I've been duped. At least explain the soldering with some more detail...

Was defintely a little more expensive but I borrowed a step bit from someone and boom everything fell together nicely. If you want to see a pic, let me know. I'm pretty proud.
You know, those "For Sale" and "Beware of Dog" signs are styrene, and there's a pretty cheap but good plastic cement made by Testors. I'd also recommend getting a knife sharpener so you dont have to keep buying new blades and instead just sharpen them as you go. Not to mention, now you have plenty of styrene for future builds.

So it's really inexpensive to build if you have a workshop with a couple thousand dollars worth of power tools. xD
Brooke-chan the tools used aren't super expensive, they don't really go past $30
Brooke-chan umm. A drill is $15 bucks at a thrift store and a soldering iron is around $10. Plus you don't need a table saw you can just use a hacksaw which is like $15. So it's not that expensive and you can use them for furpture projects

For those who are not so much into eletronic stuff, just do the gun without the lights. It's super easy. It's way cooler with the lights, but if you need something just for a costume party or something, just the gun itself will do it. And by the way, if you do it, people wont even know that there was a light version of it and will worship you for being so talented. Trust me.

most is stuff you can get at a dollar store or craft store at the mall. Pretty close to household. The wiring is super basic. If you have enough problem solving skills to change a tire you could figure it out. The only crazy thing is the table saw which he admits. I feel like people were looking for something made out of cardboard and coat hangers but if you want something that looks decent you have to kick it up a notch.
