I swear my ONLY problem with DIY Prop Shop, is that they assume you'll just have all this professional lvl masonry gear on hand... Like is it just me? Or do normal people keep that shiz in their garage?? Either way, it's pretty cool to watch!
To be honest, the new host isn't bad, shes just trying too hard to be funny for my taste. She was nervous, so I can kinda understand but, it would be great if she could try being a little more natural and less forced next time :) Prop looks great btw
Yes, this is what I'm feeling too. It's not like the old host for Super Fan Builds, because she just felt kinda fake to me, while this one seems to enjoy what she does and was only a bit nervous being filmed
I'm genuinely surprised people in the comments don't like her, she's amazing! And not for creepy reasons, she's just genuinely engaging to watch (although I like the other hosts too)
For viewers in Australia and New Zealand, you can pick up a simple LED lighting kit from Jaycar and as an added bonus they can answer most if not all of your electronic questions. Also for all viewers, soldering your wires will make sure that the circuit stays together for longer and you don't have to keep readjusting your wiring because of a faulty connection.
Ainsworth lol Ikr. I recently just found out that the Bioshock team was not allowing Valve to make any unusual versions of the Vita-Saw because of how much it resembles the Bioshock syringe.
Should have painted the flashlight red and it would't have been visible in the gel, otherwise it looks cool. However only using storebought parts makes it less of a dyi and more of a "if you're lucky enough to be able to get these parts"
i dont understand why everyone is hating on her. if you dont like her be a normal person watch the video and then leave without saying anything. its not that hard
Dorky is fine. Be yourself. You're cute, sweet, and most importantly MADE A GOOD LOOKING PROP! Your prop was fantastic. Well done. You can stay forever!
Vinny has his own channel, but it doesn't have any vids... so... Also if you are looking for his channel, just check the DIY prop shop vids with Vinny, he usally replys to comments
***** ah that is what I meant, it's pointy on one edge. Easy to make really, saw off the dowel at a 70 degree angle. Maybe use a drill to make it hollow for the first inch as well while you are at it :)
***** you do know that "if you think x proof you can do it better" is not an argument at all... I don't need a bioshock syringe and I already have plenty of projects going so I really don't have time to do this as well. Just looking at part count should be a good indication, and the timeframe in which it is made is enough as well. This channel is build on "stuff that is easy to make" so that is an indication as well .
koooo34 needles used for medical purposes (such as a needle for a vaccination) are cut off on an angle at one end. That’s so they slide into the body easily. They aren’t actually filed to a point. They’re more hollow. She made hers more like a sewing needle
You can tell she is not used to being on camera but her prop turned out amazing. I don't watch these for the personalities of the hosts. If the prop is good I like it.
Yeah, it's not dystopian. An oppressive society that's working as intended is dystopian - like 1985, The Galactic Empire, or North Korea. Rapture is full of a bunch of rogue crazies on drugs, and the government has collapsed, so it's not dystopian. Technically, it's a post-apocalyptic city, since it's society has collapsed and everything wants to kill you. But under the sea.
My friend thought i bought the syringe online but I told him i made it myself. He didn't believe me at first but then i showed him this video and so the next he made the syringe too! That's what I call Inspiration!
I'd say get a smaller LED flashlight. If you want the material inside the bottle to move and slosh around, maybe diluting it a bit would work. Switches would be convenient if you plan to cosplay multiple times or want it to be a display, unless you find a way to remove batteries easier. The "needle" could have had more of a slanted cut at the end instead of it just being pointy, like real syringes are. Overall an interesting build, and I'm surprised they got an actual gas pump handle. Very cool piece.
Hey! Good to see Hendo making a transition from cosplay shop to here! The syringe looks great! Great job on the painting, and loved that you switch from that LED to a brighter light! I was already bitching to myself that it wouldn't be bright enough!
now this is what diy prop shop is about. her skills as a host leave a little to be desired, but as far as her prop building skills go she is damn good. hopefully returns with more builds, she has certainly rekindled my interest in this show again.
I think my only problem with this show is they constantly use Worbla for their builds. Worbla is not accessible for everyone. It's VERY expensive. It would be nice if they would find cheaper worbla alternatives or just not use it at all and find other things to use.
Yay Hendo! I liked her when she made the Robin Utility belt! At first I felt that she was trying too hard to be cute, but realised that that's how she is and she is cute :D
The end result looks really good. The one thing that I think she missed, a practical detail rather than an aesthetic one, is attaching the "trigger" on the handle to an on-off switch for the light. I know, it makes wiring more difficult, but it also saves on battery, and you don't have to disassemble it every time you wanna turn it on or off!
The prop turned out great - could have used a little more explanation throughout, but I'm sure people can sort it out. Plus, it's kind of made up as you go along.
Great prop! And to all the naysayers out there: she's fine, man. Knows what she is doing, friendly to watch, plus she has that cute girl-next-door thing going on. Let's see your instructional videos. Nipple!
Good guesthost. Personally I'd have put the light in the neck of the bottle so it'd glow entirely and you wouldn't be able to see the pen but in general a good build aswell :D
Would you kindly not refer Bioshock as post apocalyptic, it is more of a dystopia more than anything. Also, would you kindly make the Big Daddy's drill?
Always love your work Hendo. In the future please show people how to make safe electrical connections. Best way it to solder and use heat shrink and it only takes 5 minutes extra. Wrapping in electrical tape isn't good insulation as it degrades and unwinds overtime.
no, you're just so desperate to get a girlfriend that you compliment a girl you barely know only on the basis that she's pretty, me, on the other hand, i'm happy with my boyfriend so i don't need to compliment randos on the internet P.S. nice projecting
i'm calling you desperate because you're calling a woman that is decent at most the most hillarious person you've seen i've shown my boyfriend this whole thing and he thinks you're the most pathetic human being he's seen
The 3 things I would change about this prop, 1 the nozzle style, 2 the bottle nipple colour, gone with a thick pink resin to make sure it dosen’t shine through, and finial 3 the colour, gas pump nozzle colour is off and the other parts are different coloured as well
I'm still not convinced by her glowing adam part (feel like she could have found a much shorter light and made the whole thing glow as well as better diffused the light to make it glow more red than orange) but all in all, it's a pretty great recreation.
She should've thrown in a high powered led at the neck of the bottle along with a pressure switch at the handle if you ask me, everything else I'm fine with. Besides that it was a really awesome build! ^w^
wow rude, you do know they get a different person everytime, it cant always be one person making something as they may not want to build the thing they're building if they're not a fan of the thing they're building, plus she does a lot of props and she nailed this one
"I don't like the host for reasons I haven't stated" "wow you sexist pig" As much as I don't mind the host, I'm sorry Adam Bump but your logic is lost on me
Looks good! If you had decided to stick with the 9V battery connected to that LED, you may have wanted to connect a resistor (VERY little cost money-wise) in series somewhere in the circuit. I know the light went on and off, so it 'works', but the resistor plays a very important part in preventing overcurrent (protect both LED and 9V battery).
yea your right too. didn't think about the possibility of an internal resistor since we don't have any info on the LED she was using. oh well, we may may never know lol.
i can tell she has an honest personality. thats what makes her fun to watch. No b.s. just being yourself
plus shes hot
No, just no
Agreed!
dead meme name
And sexy
The string and paint idea to create scratches was brilliant.
I swear my ONLY problem with DIY Prop Shop, is that they assume you'll just have all this professional lvl masonry gear on hand... Like is it just me? Or do normal people keep that shiz in their garage?? Either way, it's pretty cool to watch!
Akira Makara same or when they say Oh I had an old gas pump lying around so free wow cheap and easy replica.
Akira Makara I know right!
Let's arbitrarily ignore the fact she mentioned getting it on ebay! Yeah!
Just use the g mod gun and spawn it in
To be honest, the new host isn't bad, shes just trying too hard to be funny for my taste. She was nervous, so I can kinda understand but, it would be great if she could try being a little more natural and less forced next time :) Prop looks great btw
It said she's a guest host, who knows though.
Yes, this is what I'm feeling too. It's not like the old host for Super Fan Builds, because she just felt kinda fake to me, while this one seems to enjoy what she does and was only a bit nervous being filmed
agree
The way she looks up for approval of the cameraman after every joke is adorable
I'm genuinely surprised people in the comments don't like her, she's amazing! And not for creepy reasons, she's just genuinely engaging to watch (although I like the other hosts too)
I love it when you can find the exact part for real!
Crimps are another alternative. Eithers probably about the same to buy into.
Thanks

She's goofy, I love it.
Okay bring her back on the show. I love the authentic personality and the quality of the prop made.
lol When I saw the thumbnail, I thought you guys were making the Vita-Saw from TF2.
Which in itself is based on the Adam harvesting syringe :)
Ainsworth lol Ikr.
I recently just found out that the Bioshock team was not allowing Valve to make any unusual versions of the Vita-Saw because of how much it resembles the Bioshock syringe.
Eduardo Urbina lol

Wheres vinny?
Vinny's the best...
yea . does he have his own channel? she did a great job though
odin 7s better
Vinny has his own channel, but it doesn't have any vids... so...
Also if you are looking for his channel, just check the DIY prop shop vids with Vinny, he usally replys to comments
He has videos on this channel usually every friday
Frak Vinny. #teamhendo
There wasn't an apocolypse in Bioshock, it just collapsed the world above is still good.
I'm not gonna say it was bad... but bring Odin and Vinny back please.
MAking Props and dustin
Great tutorial! I'm curious about access the flashlight batteries and switch though.
Needles are hollow and not pointy... buy aside from that pretty good. Bit basic but yeah. Quite like the paintjob.
you misspelled but
a needle is pointy..
*****

lol 😂😂
Oh my god hahahahaha
Def the case yup hahaha
You sir made my day. Thanks.
Raphael Chagas lol
You can tell she is not used to being on camera but her prop turned out amazing. I don't watch these for the personalities of the hosts. If the prop is good I like it.
"Let your body hit the floor" then dubstep sounds. wow. xD
Why is the background music so loud? ôO
I really like this presenter. She clearly knows what she's doing, and has a ton of fun doing it.
Did she just say Bioshock is a very post apocalyptic game??? In what way??
you could argue that rapture has faced an Apocalypse, although since the surface is fine it's more like a city wide disaster
Alex Huszár exactly
The correct term would be "dystopic or dystopian" I think that's what she meant.
Because it is? Post-apocalypse doesn't just mean post-nuclear... An apocalypse happened in Rapture.
Yeah, it's not dystopian. An oppressive society that's working as intended is dystopian - like 1985, The Galactic Empire, or North Korea. Adam !! adam! give me Adam !!
Hendo is such a cute that it physically hurts my soul.
nevermind the haters, i loved the guest host. She could be a recurring host in my opinion
Hey! Good to see Hendo making a transition from cosplay shop to here!
The syringe looks great! Great job on the painting, and loved that you switch from that LED to a brighter light! I was already bitching to myself that it wouldn't be bright enough!
I honestly love everything about her
now this is what diy prop shop is about. her skills as a host leave a little to be desired, but as far as her prop building skills go she is damn good. hopefully returns with more builds, she has certainly rekindled my interest in this show again.

Officially bought the gas nozzle. I'm so excited! 😊😊
can you make a cubone mask please
thx
Yay Hendo! I liked her when she made the Robin Utility belt! At first I felt that she was trying too hard to be cute, but realised that that's how she is and she is cute :D
I still love the recent props but I miss the good old cardboard props with Dustin hosting
I made it a practice of saving the Little Sisters instead of harvesting them. Anyone else?
Edit: No More Killer's laser sword thing!
I saved them
I've been following hendo's cosplays for a while now, and i really dig her spidey stuff!
Please make the scout's scattergun
I don't know why people don't like this new host.
She's nice, more of her please lol
She's really cute and sweet !
All these comments about whether she's good or not...
I like Odin and Tony.
That string ideas really cool! Never seen that done before.
What's up with her eyes? It looks like she was blinded by someone who just ate a box of powdered donuts
Shoe polish is awesome for weathering. :D
I've never seen spray paint that operates like a can of Febreeze
The prop turned out great - could have used a little more explanation throughout, but I'm sure people can sort it out. Plus, it's kind of made up as you go along.
Look Mr. Bubbles! It's an angel!
I think I need to play BS again :P
Great prop! And to all the naysayers out there: she's fine, man. Knows what she is doing, friendly to watch, plus she has that cute girl-next-door thing going on. Let's see your instructional videos. Nipple!
Where did you get the bottle from? A list of where to get the materials on these videos would be awesome
please make roadhogs scrap gun from overwatch!
Good guesthost. Personally I'd have put the light in the neck of the bottle so it'd glow entirely and you wouldn't be able to see the pen but in general a good build aswell :D

The end result looks great and accurate! Good job!
Roses shield or sword from Steven Universe please!!!!!!
I like this guest host. she very quirky and her props and costumes look amazing! Hope to see more.
she practically didn't say any prices and locations. and the light should be lower in the the bottle
This is absolutely amazing!! Great job!! :) definitely going to attempt this.
hidden blade assassin's creed syndicate

Hendo isn't really my type physically, but she is adorable and talented, that's for sure. :)

Looks like she's wearing white eyeliner
GoodWithHands27 they holding her captive #freewhateverthefuckhernameis 2016
Hendo did an awesome job on this build. Please have her back
How to survive in space if something went wrong?
Like if you want to see this?

trying to get the word out, but thanks.
Awesome :) I really would like to see a Reinhardt hammer I know they already did Harley's hammer so maybe Reinhardt's helmet?
OMG, talented, funny and cute as a button. Also, you can say nipple as many times you want. Please come back and host more episodes.
Boi, you thirsty as hell
Good thing I got plenty of vodka. Jealous much?
not really
no, you're just so desperate to get a girlfriend that you compliment a girl you barely know only on the basis that she's pretty, me, on the other hand, i'm happy with my boyfriend so i don't need to compliment randos on the internet

I'm still not convinced by her glowing adam part (feel like she could have found a much shorter light and made the whole thing glow as well as better diffused the light to make it glow more red than orange) but all in all, it's a pretty great recreation.
see this is what ya call trying WAY too hard....
I asked for more Hendo last week, we got more Hendo. There is a God.
stillnotfamous there is no god...only man
She is just a guest host. dont be so harsh on her, she will be gone soon..
pretty good prop job. the gas pump handle is doing most of the work, but it's put together well.
The light in the bottle doesn't illuminate the Adam very nicely but it's a nice build and what is with all the hate on her
This episode showed me what bioshock is!!!! Thank you!!!
She's trying a bit to hard for us to like her xD be yourself dude.
using the string to make fake metal cuts and scratches was an awesome idea. I'll have to try it on my next project
Damn she's pretty
Panumas Mahatton are you expecting to someone come and say not as beautiful as you well wait some more im not the one
That weathering was really good. Well done!
Honestly, she's a terrible host, but she's pretty good with her hands..
heh heh
yep...
thats all that matters,,XD
Albatard ! :')
She should've thrown in a high powered led at the neck of the bottle along with a pressure switch at the handle if you ask me, everything else I'm fine with. Besides that it was a really awesome build! ^w^
this host is terrible bring back the other ones
wow rude, you do know they get a different person everytime, it cant always be one person making something as they may not want to build the thing they're building if they're not a fan of the thing they're building, plus she does a lot of props and she nailed this one
I disagree. shes awkwardly adorable. Keep her!

That thing is epic! great job. 🤓👍🏼
she's so cute and nerdy!! plus she's great with tools! I think I'm in love xD all jokes aside great job
Hendo is awesome and a talented cosplayers . Hope they bring her back as a regular
Your soldier 76 jacket is so cool! Wish you could do a video on doing the whole costume.
Her eye makeup is cool! I like her (:
i love you! days ago i started the bisohock again. And i thought might i should make bioshock prop(s). And then this video. Thank you!
Definitely one of the builds I've been looking forward to! Thanks for making this guide Hendo :D
Nice to see another really talented host who knows what they're doing. More like this, great work!
OMG one of the best work of diy propshop. awesome!
0:35 "she likes to have something in her hand"
Wow you got some serious skill!
