    I was there at the Shamrock Shuffle. The announcers said that Rupp raced to support the other participants, not necessarily to compete.

    Hey man no disrespect but you have no idea what you're talking about. He ran the shamrock shuffle as a "fun run" and was cheering other athletes on the entire way. I finished within a few seconds of him and he was clearly just there since he's a nike athlete and this was a nike race. He was running in pegasus and sweatpants and was chatting the entire time.

      That may be the case, but his recent top tier races demonstrate that he is either struggling to get fit or stay healthy. He has dropped out of quite a few races the past several years. You have to wonder if losing Coach Alberto Salazar due to scandal has something to do with that.

    • @ATT-02
      @ATT-02 ปีที่แล้ว

      He said he didn’t know what was going on, if you listened! Said he wanted some feedback from someone that was there. This happened to be you, but you had to remind him that he didn’t know what was going on. Something he already acknowledged. Both of you are stupid!

    Lets bring out the elephant in the room. He has done pretty much nothing since the Alberto Salazar saga. His performances while under Salazar will always be tainted, as will Farah's. Age is not the issue, Kipchoge is two years older than Rupp, and he is just getting better and better, so lets park the excuse of age.

    Also please bear in mind that no one is perfect. As a society, we become hyper focused on top athletes and develop unrealistic expectations. This weighs heavily on the psychological health of said athletes. We recently witnessed this in female gymnastics at the last Olympics. We mustn’t allow ourselves to constantly have such high expectations for athletes. Give Galen a freaking break! Don’t criticize him after her has accomplished so much. Nothing is forever.

    Galen Rupp, seems to me is that he lacks an alternative health specific plan for his conditions. Sometimes we think traditional medicine gives us the best options. In his case, he needs to do a drastic difference for his health concerns.
    We saw him at united half in the first 5 min because it has a hairpin turn. But couldnt tell beyond that fast view what was going on. We wish him the best of luck and better health alternatives. One example that he needs to incorporate is cross lateral patterning which addresses spinal alignment plus neuromuscular exercise.
    We wish we could have a moment to tell him this info!!

    Everyone ages different, but there may be other factors as well. It's difficult to get around the observation that Farah has been declining over the past few years as well. I will leave that for others to interpret as they please. If you have been watching the age group wr scene, you would have noticed that the Australian runner from the 1980s and 1990s, Steve Moneghetti, has broken 3 M60 wr since turning 60 in late September 2022. There is nothing to suggest that, if these great athletes continue to train, they can enjoy running and have great masters careers as well. Age and performance are relative.

    Ive seen much focus on muscular strength in elite running! This doesnt do much to tell a runner which position to be in. How to say such a mindset can lead to injury and collapse, short and long runs!
    And to make friends with a diet? Are you telling me to make war with your cells, because you want to obey a stopwatch? Does the electronics not agree with this? And to also say, per the above, you wish to create strength, but not theough a connecting motion? And not to hear my perspective on such things? And to recover with a meal then, you GET to ask and youd CHOOSE not to, and this notion fights how NATURE wishes you to find joy and struggle in the same?
