- Do you have Parkinson’s disease and or parkinsons like symptoms? And do you have leg tremors and difficulty moving your legs? In this video, we’re going to do exercises to hopefully decrease leg tremors and help you walk better. When you have Parkinson’s disease, you might have leg tremors and difficulty initiating your steps to walk. This will also result in difficulty in doing your self-care safely. Occupational therapy would usually make a treatment plan to improve your movements and to improve the size and make your movements more automatice.
The exercises included in this video are:
1. Knee raises
2. Front kicks
3. Ankle pumps
4. Side steps
5. Front to back steps
The last exercise will be walking to test if your movements and steps are easier and more automatic. Always remember to do the large movements and even though you seem to feel that your steps are of regular size, try to take those bigger steps. In time your steps will be more natural and more automatic.

Is it necessary to put on shoes while doing these exercises?

Hi, I’ve Parkinson’s for 5 years now. Lately I’m beginning to experience restless leg syndrome on my affected left side.
Grateful for your lessons which I found helpful. Thank you so much. ❤
You are welcome. Thanks for the encouragment to make more videos too
Why are you legs trembling when I come to sit or turn
Must be clonus or rigidity. Try saying outloud, kick, and then kick
Sir my problem is circumduction
Try to practice with a line or tape on the floor. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Parkinson disease is a very terrible illness, my Dad suffered from it for 19 years until we finally got a help and a medicine that truly works that helped treat, cure and reversed all his symptoms••My Dad is completely okay and healthy now..
I'm 65 y.o. female from the Philippines, with Parkinson's Disease. I am told that there's no cure but I don't believe then I saw your comment. Please tell me how your dad was cured of this disease. Thank you. God bless you
i cant even move my ankle
Why is that when I see the crowd I feel stuck
Because your brain is multitasking by then. Tell your leg to kick or any part of your body to move. Say it the way you can hear it. And practice being in crowds. Starting in a grocery store. Just walk from one isle to the next
Thankyou God bless
How many times in a day should this exercise done?
Twice a day every other day. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Thanks
Thanks very much
