Привет Фёдор, do you perhaps plan to do a video of Russian nicknames? For instance, just a short lesson on nicknames for friends, family, or your significant other.
Funny,in Serbian this is literally same "Зависи од..."(zavisi od...)And then you can put what ever is needed like "Зависи од тога"(depending on that)"зависи од тебе"(depending on you) etc...
@@Anonymous-gi6hw Using начает or начинает instead of начало? I'm very beginner. I'm just curious of why using past tense instead of present or even future tense for something that hasn't happened yet? Anyway, I'll just take note and use it this way from now on. 😊
@@jdoe7728 "начает" такого слова не существует. Можно сказать это в будущем времени "Зависит от того, во сколько это начнется". В контексте "Зависит от того, во сколько НАЧАЛО" в вашем примере означает во сколько то или иное событие начнется. Но более корректно все таки говорить "Зависит от того, во сколько начало".
Hi! This question is aimed at native speakers of German, learning Russian. Hope it will be answered. How difficult are the Russian cases for Germans? Cases exist in German, so you may be familiar with the concept, but they of course differentiate.
@@TeutonicEmperor1198 Yes, thanks! That would be great! What is your native language, and what is your view on the Russian case system? Are there similarities between it and yours?
@@Weeboslav Thanks, but I already knew. I am learning both German and Russian as foreign languages. In fact, the knowledge about German helped me to quickly get my head around the Russian ones when I began learning Russian. I asked in English, because at the moment, it is for me very favourable times to learn Russian, and I don't want to "contaminate" the learning process with German.
Hi ! I would like to know how to say « for those » I guess that’s demonstrative pronoun TE but in a particular case right ? And thank you for ur lessons, those r really helpful !!
Yes. You are quate right, because the full sentanse in this situation will be "Я посмотрю на то, what will be tomorrow". Another sample: May I посмотрю TV for five minutes. All these worlds have one root.
What a great lesson again teacher fedor. :)

"Зависит от того, во сколько начало." Why using the past tense for starts?
А как по другому вообще можно сказать это?

@@jdoe7728 If I'm not wrong, начало in this case is a noun (neuter gender), meaning "the beginning". The difference is in where the stress is placed.

"начало" here means NOUN - start/beginning.
literally, "Depends on when the start/beginning occurs".
Отлично! Спасибо!!
Can I also use зависит от in the literal sense of "to hang from", as in e.g. "This picture is hanging from a nail in the wall".
No, "зависит" is not "висит"! Have you messed up something?
In your case it is "Эта картина висит на гвозде в стене"
Fedor change your paying options in your course. I really like to log in but there you can only pay with credit card and I don't got one.
Thanks for this great explanation. One more case: how to say simply "It depends."?
there is no direct equivalent phrase in Russian. Maybe "когда как'. But mostly we tend to say WHAT is depends on.
Спасибо за видео!
Prof Fedor, in the phrase “Во сколько начало”, the word ‘начало’ is not a verb (глагол), but a noun (существительное), correct?? Thank you.
Correct, and matches the entire sense of the phrase - "that time is [the START](noun)"

Can I answer this even though I don't speak German but my native language has a case system?

Russian has 6 cases,of which it shares 4 with German(Nominative,Genitive,Accusative and Dative)
yes it might be easier for u, since u know already know the definition of the cases. but obviously there are different endings u needa know

Can we say "СМОТРЯ ТЕБЯ" or смотря is used only in complex sentences?
We can't, It literally is "Watching an You", with an "an" pointer. Definitely incorrect

I’d like a clearer understanding of the difference between ты/вы vs тебя.
I love you. Я люблю тебя.
You love me. Ты любишь меня.
I/me = я/меня.
You/you = ты/тебя.
Can I use во сколько начало on it’s own? What would that imply?
Во сколько начало = когда начнётся что то, какое то событие.
Во сколько начало фильма? Когда начнётся фильм? - What time will the movie start?
