Small correction, Rushia wasn't terminated from Hololive directly because of the reveal of their relationship. Hololive was on her side at the start, but it turned out that in an attempt to defend herself she broke the NDA and revealed sensitive company information to 3rd parties, which caused her termination.

I think something that helps is that if you had anyone in your inner circle of friends, this sort of situation is very likely to filter out the bad actor friends. It really does seem to be doing that. As someone that has people pull me into their divorce and had 1 majorly abusive/unstable ex in 2013 that still tries to go after my husband and I with slander every once in a while. We still live in the same area and sadly it's kind of insular and you can't avoid it. But you do figure out who your true friends are. And you can find sympathy with those that have gone through similar issues. I'm looking towards the positive for him, no matter how hard this period in his life has been!

She's responded now and confirmed a lot of it (which is insane) including that she was the one behind the harassing anonymous messages. She's just one of those morally bankrupt people.
I'm not surprised tbh. One time Yt recommend me an old video of her from pre-Vtuber era and it shows her being scolded by chat (in a joking manner) because she promotes some kind of scam or something like that.
It's sad. I know there's still a lot of stigma around mental illness in Japan but I hope she gets help. When you don't get help, you hurt more people and continue a cycle of abuse. The way he described her acting feels like there is a serious issue there. I see it pretty easy but the fact she masks it so well with her persona is also part of it. I hope she goes and gets help for whatever demons she is wrestling with.

I don't think Rushia was terminated for being married, she was terminated due to leaks of internal workings to outsiders. I doubt the entire cast of Hololive currently which so happen to be in various ages aren't married. Their private lives are their own, it'll only be bad if it effects the company as a whole.
Correct she was fired for multiple NDA breaks and not the least of which was disclosing company communications in front of Korekore and his nearly 150,000 viewer streaming audience.
I'm not a fan of any Vtuber but I also think at least half or more are in a relationship or married. Just judging from how they are just in that age range where these things happen usually.
In the end they are selling a fantasy and not their real life.

My heart hurts for Mafumafu. I've been a fan of his for years and I knows he's been through a lot of abuse and trauma in the past. I hope that he'll be able to move forward and find some peace after all of this is over.

Seeing the breakout of this drama a while back was absolutely heart breaking as a lot of vocal Mafu fans seemed angry. It baffled me... We truly don't know what's the extent of those leaks, but it was happening for some time at that moment.
In actuality, Cover Corp & hololive doesn't mind what their employees' relationships are. They actually support Rushia at that time, as those are private infos. If you dig more into some personal stuff, there are some holomembers are actually married or already in a relationship but those are taboo information.

As someone who’s aromatic (not saying Mfmf is but it’s similarity) I can agree that when people who have trouble even feeling the emotion..when they fall they fall *hard* I myself got into a relationship and was willing to marry after just 5 months of knowing the person. Thank God he’s ten times a better and more knowledgeable person than I am because honestly I could’ve ended up in a situation like Mafu.
How to deal with love and the science of it aren’t really discussed in everyday life or even by parents bc the majority don’t struggle with being apathetic/aromantic (not that it’s a struggle for everyone but for some it is) and as such people like us get into “stupid” situations that would be more obvious to people who’ve experienced more relationships. It really sucks and I hope he’s doing okay. Thanks for not insulting him like others have been doing. ♡︎

Art teaches a lot. I feel like I've learnt so much about healthy relationships by reading novels and comics written by down-to-earth authors. No extreme drama, no "It's all about love at first sight !" bs, I read stories about people becoming friends, partners, allies, listening to each other, opening up to each other, taking their time to communicate and understand each other, to learn about the other, not rush things and just enjoy the journey... Books are so amazing :)
I knew from listening to MafuMafu's music that he was depressed, but I could never have imagined he was dealing with all of this. I hope that Rushia gets what she has coming and I hope MafuMafu finds someone that treats him with love and can overcome this horrible situation he never deserved to be part of.

Two minor corrections. First, Mafumafu was NOT the one who leaked the story. In multiple interviews before and during the relationship, he asserted that he didn't believe in love. Also, Rushia was a GFE primary vtuber. That's two images he benefitted from upholding, even at the cost of protecting a lie. He even shut down rumors of marriage and living together in the days leading up to Rushia's NDA breach back then. Despite being tortured by her in every sense except physically, mind you. Fast forward to recently. He confided in several people about how the relationship and her affair went down, and while it did open his eyes to the truth that he was being abused, it led to one of said confidants leaking the story. Mafumafu's huge post was IN RESPONSE to the leak; he basically killed two birds with one stone by finally getting the opportunity to get the truth off his chest and stopping any undue misinformation before it started.
Second, the Discord Panopticon, so to speak, was actually Mafumafu's suggestion! She gladly accepted the last shred of his privacy (he only hoped to quell her suspicions nature), but it was his idea initially. Timeline-wise, that suggests that the very Discord message that leaked onto Rushia's stream was him reporting to her as per the Panopticon. He has either an angel or a time traveller in his ear, because he literally saved his future self with that.

For me it was because I was cheated on and had some pretty bad PTSD from that. Leaked into my new relationships and for a while I could not be in a relationship that was "serious" due to not wanting to open myself like that again - the first serious relationship I got into after the major cheating/breakup incident that really changed the way I see people... Every little change in behavior spurs the "he's cheating it's over" knee-jerk reaction with that PTSD.
As a former Fandead (Rushia fan), I was rooting for them when the news originally broke out. I was then sad to see her break NDA and get herself terminated, but hoped she would be abls to at least enjoy what she had. Hearing about these horror stories from her though made me very sad. I hope Mafumafu recovers from this nightmare situation.
I kind of wanted to post this to correct the assumption that all Fandead "dreamed of getting together" with Rushia. I followed her because I enjoyed her content style. I also enjoyed her singing.
As a fan I wanted to give her the benefit of the doubt. It was very strange the way she seemed to be treated by other holomem.
But now I can't see any way to defend her because of how serious her behavior is.
All I can say is, I wish she was better or could have done better...
I remember posting comments to her before and after her graduation, wishing her healthier relationships and such. Absolute crickets.
In a way I felt like a dad giving a daughter advice. Now I know why she didn't take it seriously.

Rushia is a huge name in the Japan Vtubing scene because, in her streams, she played a menhera, the jealous, possessive, slightly mentally unstable girlfriend who played right into the lonely "I can fix her" fanbase. Shockingly, it turns out that Mikeneko herself is a real menhera, the "run the other way" type.

I was worried seeing Mafumafu in the thumbnail, I remember the drama with these two from last time too. I'm surprised they even got married that's crazy. I've been a fan of Mafumafu since he was just starting out and never cared if he was in a relationship or anything, I just loved his music and sweet personality. My heart really breaks for him because he has already suffered so much throughout his life. I really hope he's doing alright after all this.
Edit: The stuff about his pets really pisses me off too because he has always shown how much he loves them.

I used to be big in the Utattemita community back when he started out, and since leaving the community I've been proudly observing his growth in passing but I had no idea this was happening. Would like to maybe see you make a follow-up video about this situation now that Mikeneko dropped her statement and Mafumafu went on KoreKore's youtube stream to talk about the situation since you can actually read/understand japanese and don't have to rely on random translations like a lot of other youtubers. Also as far as my japanese reading skill goes, the screaming guy at the end was just trolling. The discord username also gets unblurred at the end of the video and it's the same name as the twitter account that posted the original clip without the music over it.
Rushia has admitted to pretty much everything but denies ever cheating on mafumafu. I suppose we'll have to wait and see how the lawsuit plays out.

I feel bad for mafu mafu the song he sang was the reason I survived lockdown. When I was lonely and depressed his songs gave me hope (like there were many other people too but he is in the top list).
Man, the amount of victim blaming and the jokes of "He wanted to fix her" or "He got NTR'd" is really pissing me off. There is literally no justification for someone to be abused. The guy for years is already known to be struggling with his own struggles, he just wanted to have someone by his side.

I don’t trust these allegations at all. The timelines do not make sense. They dated for all of six months then got married. Rushia using discord instead of say GPS tracking. Him being ‘clueless about love’ yet having female fans swooning over him. His evidence is lackluster at best. Mikeneko leaving her urn with her cat’s remains at Mafu’s house despite how much of a cat person Mike is. Like why would she just leave it in the trash then not come back for it? It makes no sense. How can Mikeneko stream while looking at and responding to Discord Messages 24/7? Him waiting so long to come out with this. The fact he did nothing in this situation. Mafu took no accountability. He did not admit that he should have waited more than six months to get into a marriage. He did nothing to fix the relationship (like counciling). He never tried to get Mike therapy. He never put his foot down and stood up for himself whatsoever. He just went along with this all. I am sorry but do you really want me to believe that you put up with all the abuse you laid out and then you thought it was normal? I do not buy this. Combine this with Mikeneko getting a VA role recently, Mafu getting Kore Kore involved and Mafu’s career going down the toilet and I do not trust Mafu here. I personally think Kore is playing both parties here like a fiddle. Mafu is desperate, his career got torpedoed by these allegations and he is turning to Kore. His evidence is anecdotal, some of which is literally parroted by Mikeneko herself. Hence, 2 ppl confirming information does paint a damning picture. It also does explain a lot of mysteries from the past multiple Mikeneko incidents. For example, her tendency to accuse others of slander has been shown very frequently (Exhibit A: her attack on Delutaya).
It seems you’ve also missed Mike’s explanation where she corroborates Mfmf’s claims, since she mentions she didn’t leave her cat’s ashes, rather a DIFFERENT pet’s ashes behind.
How can Mike do 2 things at once? It’s called multitasking. And it does line up with what started the incident that got her canned from Hololive.

It depends. For older salaryman that spend most of their time away on business trips, it’s relatively common for them to visit soaplands and girls bars and the like. I wouldn’t say it’s socially acceptable, but it’s tolerable. I’ve even heard girls say they wouldn’t consider it cheating as long as there is no love involved / it stays strictly transactional (although they wouldn’t be thrilled obviously). But for standard relationships among young people, I don’t think it’s any more common than in the west. You’ll see inflammatory street interviews on TH-cam with Japanese guys and girls talking about their body counts, but these are really a select few that have already been cherry picked in areas like Shibuya and Shinjuku, which aren’t really representative of the country overall.
Maybe a factor but they tend more to introversion and passivity in their culture. Look up the male "herbivore" subculture for example. Men who aren't actively seeking relationships. They don't seem to be motivated by fear of infidellty in staying single. It's more that they are inexperienced and intimidated by relationships. Even finding women uncomfortable and downright intimidating.
The correlation could be the other way around too. For example if you are a shy introverted and sensitive man and he also said that she initially told him that she accepted him and loved him for what he was and then it turns out that she's deeply insecure, overbearing and accuse him of cheating and made him feel like everything he did was wrong and his fault. Even when he didn't do anything wrong something like that doesn't really make the prospects of a relationship all that attractive. Basically her fear of infidelity was the problem. Not infidelity itself. With people like that no wonder people avoid relationships.

I'm starting to feel glad that I didn't get the chance to know more about Rushia. I was a bit late to the rabbit hole, so when I was introduced it was during Coco's graduation. I had a little bit of time to see her streams, but some miracles happened which prevents me from knowing more of Rushia. I thank the Gods for that miracle. Although I was feeling a bit regret back then, for missing out on this chance, now I feel thankful I missed the opportunity.

A discord notification popped up on screen while she was streaming with Miko, it was a DM from him and it was a bit candid, a common message that a couple has.
Then Hololive sent her into hiatus and made a statement saying that what the talents had in their personal lives wasnt anything they as a company care and so the public shoudlnt care as well (All while promoting an anniversary merch drop with a wedding motif around valentine's day).
As she supposedly went into Hiatus, she went and contacted a Japanese internet news youtuber (a Japanese drama channel), and heres where it went down quickly:
- She went to try and defend herself from all the backlash she got for having a boyfriend
- But when trying to contact the drama chanel, she gave away important info about Hololive (dont really know what, but it broke NDAs)
Hololive terminated her for leaking info and breaking NDA because "She tried to defend herself from the backlash", hololive defended her when mafumafu was suspected to be his boyfriend.
Tl;dr: Rushia leaked a relationship, was sent into hiatus to calm the public while holo said "Stop being creeps, she has a live too" and then proceeded to break NDA trying to prove she was rushia and got fired for leaking things
The only reason they sent her into hiatus were JP people were mad, like how dare an IDOL have a bf let alone mafumafu of all people.
She was stupid enough to open her mouth to korekore of all people, now mafumafu is doing the same open his mouth to him. No reason for telling the masses what is going, its clear he's looking for public sympathy and outcry to help swing the jury.

A month in the year and being a vtuber and utaite fan is still pretty much watching a car crash. Feel for Mafu though cause he seems genuinely nice and nobody deserves that kind of torture.
When I saw Mafumafu's apology on Twitcast without really knowing the reason I just started crying because of how hurt and genuinely apologetic he sounded. Then I went on to find out all the things that had happened and I was just bawling after that. I don't feel betrayed or shocked in the slightest hearing that he was married, I just feel so sad for him. I've been following him for a while now, maybe 4-5 years, and he's in my top 3 favorite singers. I know about things that have happened to him in his past that he and his friends have mentioned, including his bad childhood, the stalking incident, and the drama with his "friend" who stole his song. He has went through so much pain and it hurts me to see him going through more. I know this may sound a little parasocial, and I could very well be wrong, but from my perspective Mafumafu is a very strongly empathetic and sensitive person, so he feels things like this much stronger and blames himself for it. All I hope is that he is able to move forward and be truly happy some day. Even if one day perhaps he stops making songs, I'll be happy as long as he is happy.

Statistically, if you have been abused that heavily increases your chances of being abused again, because you lose your sense of what's normal and acceptable. It breaks my heart. For me, as being Asian, i have heard many people in doing like this Rushia was doing. Those people always have manipulative behavior, gaslight and make up situations, give ultimatum to their loved ones with either sweet talk or harsh words, and didn't think what they did was wrong at all. They would deny any statements of what they did wrong from 2nd persons, and worse case is they would uno reverse to that callout person by condescending them and accuse that the callout person is worse. They would say to their "friends" if the friends get jealous of them taking advantage of others and got what they wanted. It's disgusting. I know a few of these people... Speaking ill of another anonymously is what most people do on Twitter every day. It's one of the most minor things mentioned in the lawsuit on the surface. If Mikeneko was the one being abused in the relationship, lashing out anonymously is not only justifiable, but not enough to actually help her situation and was likely a coping mechanism due to feeling trapped. It's weird to indulge in such heavy bias when the court case hasn't even begun. We don't even know what evidence each party actually has. At most there have just been mentions of alleged evidence that we know nothing of in reality. Remember, both sides are heavily incentivized to manipulate the public to their favor and both have a lifetime of experience doing it as big public figures. It would be more just to let both parties make their case in a court of law before condemning either.

Korekore is not a 3rd party. He's the one Rushia leaked to. He's the one who hosted mafumafu's stream. Rushia has a twitter video about the subject.
So the offical reason being the divorce is sadly not far off from the truth.
Korekore was the cause of Rushia loosing her job.

Yeah I've been a long time fan of him too and the entire thing is just heart breaking. Dude already suffered through so much. Plus, he said he delayed the song because he didn't want to capitalize on the situation, what a chad. People said that he apologized and cried again today during the SoraMafuUraSaka Comeback Live todday, and he thanked everyone for continuing to support him😢

While I have no doubt that this girl is trouble, and have thought so since before she was terminated, it's pretty rare in any divorce for both sides not to embellish the wrongdoings of the other and cast themselves in the most favorable light. I'd expect that to be doubly true when the two people's livelihoods depend entirely on how much their audience personally likes them.

Funny how whenever I hear of someone being paranoid about their significant other cheating on them, they turn out to be the one cheating. Like this is consistently the case every damn time. Try to pay attention to it whenever you hear of something like that, you'll probably notice the same.
I think you are doing a great disservice by covering this using an extremely one-sided summary post instead of the official statements. Rushia / Mikeneko has already released a statement 2 days ago.
Mafumafu stands to lose little to nothing by this coming out, no matter how the court cases turn out. He is way too massive and will remain a big shot even if he loses in court. While Rushia on the other hand, despite having been subjected to unparalleled hatred since her termination 2 years ago had just started to turn her life around for the better, now once again stands to lose everything. She apparently got a role in a short anime that came out this season as well has signed a contract with Pony Canyon.
One should always ask the question "Why?". What is the reason for Mafumafu leaking this to a tabloid and going on Korekore's stream? From the outside, taking everything into consideration, it looks like he knows he won't be able to get the "justice" he thinks he is owed in court, so instead he opts to instigate a smear campaign. If he can't ruin her life in court he'll do it by cancelling her. The actions he has taken leave little to no room to give him the benefit of doubt, nor do they add the tiniest bit of credibility to his words.
That was not the exact reason her contract got terminated. It was just the trigger that lead to her actions, that warranted her contract terminated. it was because she broke NDA, leaked information that was not supposed to go out.
In fact company told her when it got leaked, just chill for now. we will handle this. But she panicked and tried to clear her the controversy herself and then leaked other info.
For what its worth, Mikeneko posted her side of the story recently on her twitter/twtilonger. Just for balanced reporting. That being said, Damaged people tend to have toxic relationships. Are we really that surprised? I hope they can settle the remainder of this shit quietly and get some help. Both of them cause....damn.

I had a quick look at MafuMafu's statement, but it really didn't say much, I don't actively follow either so I'm not up to speed to all the information out there and I might check her response.
That said I did hear about MafuMafu having had traumatic experiences in the past, I don't know the details tho (pretty sure it was something to do with friendships, but might have been romantic relationships). All this to say that, although it's true that this type of people are more likely to get into toxic relationships, the victim of a toxic relationship is still a victim.
In this case specifically as I still don't know Rushia/Mikeneko's side I won't say that MafuMafu has no fault in how things went, but from what Joey said and the few things I've heard of, Rushia wasn't quite the good partner either, so it's either that both are victims or that at least one of them needs help in fixing their toxic trait.

Her side of the story is not defending her at all. She confirmed a lot of thjngs and only deny two things that are her cheating and she killed a cat. She said her chat with B san is just a joke which I can't believe since it was to "intimate". Well we can only believe the court case for certainty, and it is I guess not Guilty unless PROVEN. Though I lean more with mafumafu
Mfmfs is an old time entertainer, he knows how to get around the internet, people taking his alligations at face value is stupid. He will go to extreme lengths to have the public openion on his side.

Hey joey, just wanted to let you know about some misinformation in the video and ask you to please at least censor Mafu's face in both thumbnail and video because even tho it's public, he has stated plenty of times of being uncomfortable with his face being exposed!
Now, no. 1 the termination or Rushia's contract wasn't because of their relationship being found, it was because she broke her agency contract by sharing confidential information with a drama TH-camr known as korekore.
No. 2 the controversy didn't start because of Mafu's statement, that statement was a response to an article posted in a Japanese magazine, he wasn't originally planning to upload it until the legal proceedings were done but he was put in a corner due to the constant difamación and that article was the one to hit the nail.
I would really recommend you to watch Mafu's appearance in korekore stream as he shows proof of some of his claims and also to check Rushia's statement because it kinda gives more context, this is all with good intentions btw!

Lmao Joey becoming one of the things he supposedly hates. Someone who does not actually do proper research. Cover did not terminate Rushia because of her being in an intimate relationship. Far from it. In fact, they defended her on it. They terminated her because of her breaking her NDA multiple times as found in their investigations.
I know the topic is not your forte or something you actually really want to look deeply into, but that information is surface level to the point where you shouldn't have gotten that wrong.
