    I really like stick pins but had never thought about making one. Thanks for this video. The pin you made is lovely! Will have to look into getting some supplies. I do have the Glossy Accents!

      I dont know why but this video has always done well but all of a sudden its getting a load more views. Think it must be TH-cam. It's one of these dumb things on here. In order to get more views you have to have got quite a few views in the first place!! So it's a cycle that is hard to get into but once you're on it means the video does well. Thats why I do try to, subtly, ask for the likes etc as it really helps the videos get the traction. Esp now as TH-cam in the last year or so seems to have changed stuff and what counts as a view is different and I can see a significant down turn in numbers. even before I reduced output. Also it used to be, that however frequent the video after a year or so the views evened out to a pretty similar number across the board, gradually increasing to a similar number however they started. Now those numbers just dont go up. Very frustrating. Anyway enough ranting and sidetracking. Love and hugs and glad you enjoyed the video, xxx

    Ty Amanda for the tutorial. I have made some stick pins using some unusual items I have found in different stores, even a quilting shop. I used the glossy accents also and it is great. Hugs

      Thank you. This was one of those videos i nearly didn’t make cos i thought people would think i was telling them the obvious. But then I realised i had to ask someone so there must be others who like me didnt know how to make these and hence the video. Seems though its helped more than i hoped. So glad you found it useful, have a happy crafting day, Amanda 🙏🏻😉

      ok lol! enjoy but i think you might need bigger ones than these - depending on the size of your head I guess but these are pretty small and used for card making xx

    Thank you for this tutorial. I am interested in the purple foam mat that you used toward the end to stick the pins in for drying. Where would I be able to locate something like this? Does it have a brand?

    • @lollilulucrafts
      @lollilulucrafts  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I believe it was a do-crafts product but a lot of companies do these they are stamping mats. Some are foam like this others have a coating but to be honest you could just get a piece of that green stuff they use for flowers. I know it’s a bit more temporary but if you store it in a box then you would prob find that cheaper and easier to pop the pins in. Hope that helps and glad you liked the video xx

    Does this particular Glossy Accents ever turn yellow after use on work? Asking before I purchase it..

    • @lollilulucrafts
      @lollilulucrafts  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      i personally havent had it go yellow, and I still have some of these stick pins so that has been a few years i think since this video. Also cards etc I have that are older that have it on seem fine still. but obviously that is just my experience. I have a couple different brands of /glossy accents' other companies call it different names for eg I also use novo (tonic) crystal drops and have not had any problems there either. Hope that helps xx

    What length are the hat pins you use?

    • @lollilulucrafts
      @lollilulucrafts  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I would estimate around 3inches but frankly any length I want the finished pin to be. 🙂

    Lovely… now What are they used for???

    • @lollilulucrafts
      @lollilulucrafts  ปีที่แล้ว

      I use them on my cards. As it happens the video that will be uploaded this week actually makes use of these so if you watch that one when it goes live Friday night (8pm GMT) then you will see how I use them. 🙂

    Hi Amanda what size pins do you use to make a large hat pins please

    • @lollilulucrafts
      @lollilulucrafts  ปีที่แล้ว

      I have to be honest I just grab anything I see. I think the large ones were those large sewing pins that have like pearls on the end. Sometimes I pull those off. Others are just long sewing pins. Im sorry not to be more helpful, but the best thing is just to go to a store and literally look and see what you like the look off and what size works for what you have in mind. That's the beauty of these there is no wrong size. If you take a look at my latest video I actually use a couple of these on the card so that might give you a better idea on size. but length wise prob about 2-3 inches but as I say it really varies. Hope that is at least a little helpful, it doesnt feel it, and Im sorry. I am rather a that looks ok kind of crafter rather than any kind of specific. 🙂

    • @lollilulucrafts
      @lollilulucrafts  ปีที่แล้ว

      ps they I just realised you said hat pins, which may be just a turn of phrase but if you mean that literally these are not that big they are made to use in card making etc. But there is def not a reason I can see not to be using the same method on bigger pins. 🙂

    Qual cola você usa?

      Para isso eu usei 'Glossy Accents', como é claro quando seca assim não interfere com as contas. xx

    I'm new to beading so this is probably a stupid question..what do you use a stick pin for

    • @lollilulucrafts
      @lollilulucrafts  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Pauline Shamonis It’s not a stupid question at all and I should have talked about it in the video so sorry my bad! Basically in my case I use them on cards - Papercraft hand made greeting cards I mean, just as decoration. And a lot of Papercrafters use them, but I guess you could use them on home decor items too and maybe even sewn stuff if your clever at that kind of thing- not me lol! But yeah in this video I was really just assuming other card makers, hope that helps x

    Does the Glossy Accents degenerate over time and beads come loose?

      Not so far I still h ave some in my stash that I made at the same time as this and they are all fine 🙂

    What size pin and beads x

    • @lollilulucrafts
      @lollilulucrafts  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Any size you want, it really doesnt matter. Just make sure that the beads are the right size for the pin in respect of the pin going through the hole but otherwise whatever takes your fancy, that is the beauty of it xx
