Should you pit water in the new soil? When removing soil from roots it auses small abrasions and you need to let them dry and callous before adding any water (like propagating) or it will cause root rot. I heard to repot in DRY soil and not water for 3 days so the wounds on roots can heal

Moisten soil can promote root growth. When we trim the roots, I will air dry it for a day. Then, I will plant it the next day in moisten soil. I did this for over 300 pots of my succulents. Plant in dry soil is definitely fine too. :)

@@life.greenery6060 i didn't see you mention letting the roots air dry. That makes sense. I just thought you were saying to plant freshly trimmed or damaged roots straight into wet soil (that would be bad). But yes if you let the roots dry for a day or 2 then they will be fine, I just didn't see that part sorry

Hi! Rookie plant owner from PJ here. I'd like to confirm, so we don't have to stick the roots into the soil mix ke? Coz it looks like you just positioned the succulent on the soil surface and then added the gravel around it. 🤔

I wait for the soil completely dry or the lower leaves start wrinkling. You can do bottom watering for 15 mins. Or water till water drain out. Make sure your soil is porous enough

Hello, I just got my first few succulents as a gift and I am not sure what to do. I watered them the first day but then realized their roots are coming out of the bottom of the starter pot. Would I be correct to remove all the starter soil and let them air dry for a day and then repot? I am lost in that all of them have overgrown their pots and I am not sure what to do. Thank you, I appreciate any advice please.
