    Also…. Massive thanls to Andy Parker… 40 years behind the drums and noone ever talks about him…

    • @charlestelk6526
      @charlestelk6526 ปีที่แล้ว +11

      I talk about him - course I'm, a nobody lol. Actually I have emailed him through his website and he has always responded and is way cool. If I may - the Vinnie Moore albums don't get the credit they deserve. In my opinion the tune Black and Blue on the Monkey Puzzle has Mr Parkers best drumming that I've heard on any UFO song. It is frigging violent and it sounds like he's smacking the drums using telephone poles for sticks. I would suggest that you check it out!

    Great band, one of my faves since 1974. Sad that Paul Raymond passed away, but great to see the return of Neil Carter on guitar/keys and vocals in his place. Anyone that can't see the energy on display here is apparently blind. For a bunch of guys in their 60's+, they certainly deliver the goods.

To be frank, I thought the news would be about Pete... What a fine classy gesture on the part of Neil to lend them a hand. He certainly did not have to do that. For an accomplished music teacher and examiner to go on the road for months, something he did not do for years, had to be quite an effort but he did it anyway to save his old pals mid-tour. In his defense , he does know quite a lot of bands and players, like how could he not?? as he's been in the business for over 30 + years ,the man has lots of connections!, but that being said, he can get a bit on the over bearing side!

    How happy I am watching recent videos of those Classic Rock Bands: UFO, The Sweet, and from Brazil Casa das Máquinas. I hope I can see UFO live this year, it depends on my vacations. I watched a live show of Casa das Máquinas, a 70's Classic Brazilian Rock Band, and it was wonderful, they read my message in TH-cam, which made me very very happy!!! Long Live Rock'n'Roll!!!!!

    I remember in 79 or 80 that UFO sold out long beach arena in less than an hour. Paul Chapman on lead guitar but Phil was singing Pete handled the bottom end, Paul R covered rythym Guitar and Keys and of course Mr. Parker kept time. What a great frigging show. Saw them with Saxon in 2017 at Anthem at Sioux City Hard Rock. That was intimiate but this stage is even smaller. Paul Raymond was playing that nite. Neil Carter is ok - he looks a bit like Pee Wee Herman to me. I really enjoy Vinnies 5 cd's with UFO - his style suits them as he obviously wrote them. Not a big fan of this bass player - but ya gotta admit he has huge shoes to fill. An impossible task. Andy Parker is just a steady solid drummer - exactly what you want in a rock band. And of course Phil is Phil - just an amazing singer, frontman, lyricist, showman, on and on. This band is criminally underrated. And has been forever - I'm not sure this is true but I understand on their first tour they played the Last Supper. BAM - please note that is not meant as an insult - this band has been around a long time and I for one have enjoyed every minute!!

I will never forget it and I was 13. Lights Out became and still is one of my favorite songs. Reflecting back, I feel like I saw the very beginning of Hair band music?
