    One tip from a famous volleyball player in my country is that you hit the part of the ball where you insert the pin. Hit it flat and it floats. When I tried it, it really does float. I've been using that technique ever since, and the opposing team would always have the difficulty in receiving my serves.
    Well, of course, it took me sometime mastering it but it was worth it. 😁

I watched this on the bus before an afternoon 2v2 session and I probably missed, 3/100 serves - I am SO happy! This is super simple, straight forward, well explained and easy. More like lose 95% of points on serving. Be it because they couldn't receive it, or because the server hit the net/hit a home run.
      Whenever you get to play against a team with a beginner on it you can feel it in ther eyes they won't receive a single serve.
      (I don't recommend targeting that person unless it's a competition, failure gets in people's head and they might never want to play again)

    What do you guys think about the importance of height on a float serve. In my experience the best float servers contact the ball very high and it adds different movements on the ball then most float serves that as a receiver I haven't seen before.

    • @niosniahn8696
      @niosniahn8696 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not sure about beach volley, but in indoor you always serve float with a jump, so the ball starts its fly high as high above the floor as possible.
      Two different ways to use that hight:
      - you serve jumping into the playing area, and you hit the ball so that it flyes downwards from the very beginning.
      - or you serve standing a few steps from the line, and that gives the ball time to swerve left and right, and if the serve is done perfectly, the ball would fall down just as it crosses the net. This type of serve is common in women's volleyball, and it really is hard.

    Hi there!! Thank you for your tutorial videos. I am speeding up my way on volley beach to become a heroe :D this video is very illustratative because up to now I had been told I have to actually hit the ball with the palm of my hand instead of the heel. Funny enough any time I would do with the heel of my hand, the serving was going just great. So I will keep it that way from now :)

    So I’ve gotten incredibly good at a standing topspin serve. It is a very fast serve that I can aim perfectly and has a lot of topspin so often receivers hit the ball backwards when receiving. I play for a middle school indoor club. Should I keep doing this or should I work on bettering my normal float serve? Or should I just go to topspin jump serving already?

    • @lilianlopez8584
      @lilianlopez8584 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Usually float is better from what I've seen, unless you can keep improving your topspin making it faster. As you improve other teams do too so it gets easier If you keep it at the same speed. Really you can do both, it just depends what your better at and notice is harder for others to receive!

    • @russko118
      @russko118 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      if you are also jumping i think you're golden. if you're standing, i think a floating service is better because on my experience standing topspin is not enought to score on decent defence, but floating can fool a strong defence. A good server know most or all type of services and coose evry time wich one to use

      Not for a float serve. For a topspin serve definitely, but for a float all that would do is add spin to the ball when you really want it to have no spin so it's less readable. (Disclaimer: I'm not a volleyball coach or anything I just play for my highschool)

    • @mariusdgr7456

      Well i Played for 10 years now started in elementary school and that is Not Said to be flexing or anything now but If there is one Thing i learned in all this years then that there is No 100 % right serve. I would say if this works Out for you and you get a nice Float with it even though you add Spin then thats fine but you could try Out to Not add the Spin and See If there is a difference between it and decide in which you use

    • @russko118
      @russko118 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      if you spin you're not floating. if you spin and don't jump the ball hasn't that much energy and indeed a decent defence can take it easier than the float. if the defence is ultra weack ofc you just need to get the ball on their side to score

      A change up is a fake-out, so when good players make it look like they are doing a normal jump serve but they are really doing a jump float it’ll fake them out. But the spin and dropping of the float is like a knuckleball.
