In my early twenties my corners were thinning very quickly, I thought I was balding. I'm 26 now and since roughly 3, 4 years the thinning has come more or less to a halt. My hairline used to be square, now it's a little widow's peaky. At the age of 26 I'd say my hairline has matured, but it is noticable because the center of my hairline hasn't moved a single mm and I have a very masculine skull and sloped forehead, so the corners are definitely visible. Never coloured my hair in my life. First I was blonde, then my hair had every natural color in it,kaleidoscopic in a way ,then it went brown and i still had blonde temples yet with strawberry blonde, black, red and varying shades of brown flecks. Then the temple hairs fell out. My hair used to be so thick that it was difficult to brush. One day I shaved it bald after thick shoulder length hair. Then the follicles thinned and now i am a norwood 3. If I'm lucky it will relatvely stay the same. Currently going grey as well.
Maybe not as much of an unpopular opinion as I initially expected, but I love my hairline at least enough to not feel insecure about it, and I have long hair. My hair is receded/mature (Not sure yet) and quite fine to the point that you get a pretty distinct v shape. But since my hair's grown to the end of my shoulderblades I like to comb it back behind my ears with usually a beard. That way it looks more tough and dignified to me. I don't need to hide what I think looks good on me, haha.
Love the video. Thank you!! I had a prominent mature hairline. My hair cuts where becoming shorter and shorter. At 45 I got my hairline tweaked. It was so minor that no one at worked noticed. I still have a mature male hairline but now at 50 I have a Josh Holloway (Lost) or Brad Pitt (war Z) style. Anyone considering transplants I'd say go for it. Expensive but you only I've once...
Case Study on my Traction Alopecia: I've always had medium long hair, but over the last 2.5 years I grew it till my hips to donate part of it. I started losing lot of hair during this time, before which my hairline was really healthy. Now I can see a good region of my scalp through my hairline. I'm a motorcyclist, and the helmet sometimes tugs on my hairline ever so slightly (it ads up during long trips), I wear headphones often too. I also have a TON of hair volume and weight and though I wear a loose ponytail it possibly puts pressure on my hairline, 'especially when I'm sleeping (gets tugged a lot)!! or when shampooing / brushing (knots), there's a lot of inevitable tugging, hair fall, and breakage going on'. No men in my family have gone bald even towards 70. My dad still has a very healthy hairline. I only just learned about Traction Alopecia 4:24 and have finally identified the source of the balding. I fear at this point however it's permanent because I didn't address it soon enough. I'm going to donate my hair and dropped it back to a medium soon and in doing so alleviate the weight. Hopefully this gives insight to some of you.

I just wouldn't know where to begin. The style I'd end up with is the only thing stopping me from growing it out.
Honestly the look some old guys pull with a fully bald on the top long hair on the sides with a long beard, looks kinda cool. Like a wizard or a grizzled old viking
Hey Trav, Watched most of your videos about hair and style but I am so worried related to mine cause I am going through an awkward stage of hair growth which is normal I know but the things are my hair is thick and hard to comb sometimes and they are also wavy even thou I use conditioner but I need something that makes my hair even softer the ends of my hair strands are wavy like super wavy no matter how much I comb my hair I ended up looking like wolverine which is giving me a headache lol brother a piece of advice is need at this point of my journey. Thank you.
You should grow out your hair when you start losing hair because you are going to lose it anyways in the coming years ( more depending on your hair genetics) so enjoy it before it's gone, and you can hide the balding spots with your long hair with many different hair styles, Nature gave head hair for both men and women so there's no shame to have a long hair to your jaw, shoulders or chest you are being natural anyway.
I’m pretty sure I have traction alopecia. I’ve been putting my hair up nearly everyday in a man bun for about a year, and I’ve noticed some thinning on my from scalp. There’s no receding hairline but I do notice the hair thinning. I’m gonna try to keep my hair down most days to give my scalp a break from having my hair up constantly. You literally gave me the hope to not cut off all my hair!! 2.5 years of hard work and I will keep having long hair !! I’ll report back on my journey.
What about the growing your hair out it's THINNING in specific areas (e.g. say are the front). It is different front just the hairline receding and growing out the healthy hair that's left. Would love hear about this or see it in a video! Thanks
One Hundred Eyes from Marco Polo had a BADASS long hairstyle with a half Shaved head. Granted he had a Masculine face and good skin complexion. But he pulled it off very well.
I firmly believe I lost my hair due to excessive ejaculation, lack of nutrients, stress and hot water on scalp. I've taken away all of these, stress sometimes as usual though let's see how I go 😊
Meanwhile I’m dealing with an issue with the hairs on my scalp are only 1/2 as long as the hair on the back & sides (collar bone length). Makes styling extremely annoying with basically having shorter/awkward-phase hair on top with really long on sides. Like I can headbang & the hairs on top barely move where the sides fly around. Idk what treatment to even pursue for that
Do you still use Beard Brand for shampoo products? I’m not sure about the ingredients. It does have PEGS and fragrance can you help me find the right products for men and also for styling
I’ve been pushing my hair for 3 years but I’ve done a lot of smoothing and I shower 5 times a week because I go to the gym and I have small hair or rather broken hair it’s not pretty when I tie it and my hairline, what should I do?
My scalp follicles appear to be visible under light, upon parting my hair i see a little bit of a gap thats widened a little bit, however, i dont see any hair falling out when showering or sleeping, also i shampoo at least 4 times a week, can overshappoing cause hair damage ? Theres also the humidity factor, do you think it can cause balding ? Last but not least i see white dull hair and they appear to be increasing in size. Basically Magnus Brunn's hair density and Bradly Cooper's Hairline, at the age of 23

Hey trav! Whats your Opinion on apple cider vinegar? Do you use it?
Jesus out here really giving good information
I’m growing my hair out and I like it so far but my hair like do be looking like heath ledger
Damn... Trav Lowkey kind of roasted the three people in the thumbnail 😂😂😂
Thanks Trav for another great video! I watch you first when new videos show up.
Nicely done Trav keep it up!
Tbh mate u have a widow's peak hairline that ain't balding
@@Faraz___z do you think it’s that because I got long hair in a bun everyday and my hairline has started to go back aswell, it might be a maturing hairline but I am scared it continues to go back
@@djswirley I got a hairline which totally feels like balding But u won't even believe I have that kind of hairline since 5th grade lol so ur might be a maturing one too
@@djswirley i even kept long hair It feels more like receding but it is not u cut it short and u feel hairline a bit normal than before
@@djswirley i even grew out twice with that kind of hairline
Great video! Answered a lot of questions that were running through my mind. Keep up the good work.
Straight up answer, liked it 👍
When u are so early and everyone say: first first first
Very good video. Subbed and liked. Seems I have a moderate mature hairline. But it could just be me idk
Yes but what kind of haircuts can you recommend? Just saying "Yes" for an entire 10 minute video is not that great...
Thank you again for making me comfortable
I do workout pretty intens... Yes let's call it just bodybuilding...with the food and so... And groing out my hair again.. and you mentioning more plates more dates...👌
I'm 25, I just have a bad hairline, its been that way since i was a kid. It's a widows peak to top it off. I had a mid fade comb over in high school. I just shaved it off. I would like long hair. I just wouldn't know where to begin. The style I'd end up with is the only thing stopping me from growing it out.
YESSS THANKS, THİS WAS THE VİDEO IM LOOKİN FOR AND U LİTTERLY SAİD YES AT THE BEGGİNİNG, THANK U SO MUCH
Honestly the look some old guys pull with a fully bald on the top long hair on the sides with a long beard, looks kinda cool. Like a wizard or a grizzled old viking
Trav, I have a question, does smoking cause hair loss?
Reply please.
I'm in my awkward stage & I have hair loss but I will not stop hair growing.
Of course it does. It ages you faster in every way.
too much smoking does cause hairloss but if you have male pattern baldness just use finasteride and minoxidil you will get results and keep smoking
Thank you.
This video made me feel good!
You left out Russell Crowe and Jeff Bridges for Mature hairlines
I’m sure I left out a ton of guys haha 😂 the video could’ve gone on forever
U forgot yo mention "Andrew Lincoln" who played the protagonist "Rick Grimes" in the walking dead
He doesent have a receding hairline
Thanks from INDIA.....bro it's really helps😍
Never knew that about Hulk Hogan loosing his hair from a bleaching accident!
What about the growing your hair out it's THINNING in specific areas (e.g. say are the front). It is different front just the hairline receding and growing out the healthy hair that's left. Would love hear about this or see it in a video! Thanks
Love your vid and your supportive group..keep it up man
Explain a receding hairline I’ve had one since birth so maybe I just have a weird natural hairline ?
Quick question, how many hairs do you loose a day? Do I need to worried if I loose 20-30 a day?
Ps love your channel ❤🖤
Normally people loose about 100 to 150 hairs a day. So your is very normal.
Trav, what kind of condiotioning mask do you recommend to fine, low porosity, oily scalp hair?
One Hundred Eyes from Marco Polo had a BADASS long hairstyle with a half Shaved head. Granted he had a Masculine face and good skin complexion. But he pulled it off very well.
If ur hair is receding its better to keep it shorter for longer hair life
I firmly believe I lost my hair due to excessive ejaculation, lack of nutrients, stress and hot water on scalp.
I've taken away all of these, stress sometimes as usual though let's see how I go 😊
9 months later. How did it go??
Damn man I’ll be honest I sometimes think the same I need to stop the ejaculation part asap
Middle age in your 50’s??? fuck me your optimistic! 😂😂😂 Love the vids 👍👍👍
I am balding at 18 and i will just grow my hair out until it last until I become noticeably badl and just shave it out one day
I think I am the same too it’s stressful stuff
What are your recommendations for a 35 yo who wants to go Bezos style? (bald but handsome)
WWE and ECWs Paul Heyman is still rocking his 😁
Generally speaking, it only works if you have the face for it or the beard for it
Meanwhile I’m dealing with an issue with the hairs on my scalp are only 1/2 as long as the hair on the back & sides (collar bone length).
This gave me hope, thanks!
7:06 yep that's me right there, like Jude Law's hair line but with pin straight fine hair
But can you grow your hair if you have a receding hairline and a thin hair?
What shampoo do you use or is safe and good for hair ?
What if you have diffuse thinning, top is thinning. Doubt I’m a candidate to grow my hair long :(
I’ve been pushing my hair for 3 years but I’ve done a lot of smoothing and I shower 5 times a week because I go to the gym and I have small hair or rather broken hair it’s not pretty when I tie it and my hairline, what should I do?
4:47 got me worrying, my hairline looks pretty much dead on to that 😬
My scalp follicles appear to be visible under light, upon parting my hair i see a little bit of a gap thats widened a little bit, however, i dont see any hair falling out when showering or sleeping, also i shampoo at least 4 times a week, can overshappoing cause hair damage ? Theres also the humidity factor, do you think it can cause balding ?
Last but not least i see white dull hair and they appear to be increasing in size.
